So of course when I moved to the area I was very excited to try some Sri Lankan that's so highly acclaimed. Especially since Watford lacks in independent restaurants. So I drove over one Friday night as it's takeaway or delivery only. There is very little chance of getting parking in the vicinity so bare that in mind. The food - I ordered a Sri Lankan type of roll which was on display on the counter (can't remember what it was called) which I ate as I waited for the rest of my food. He heated it up in the microwave which was immediately off putting, and when he handed it to me, it was greasy, soggy and cold in the middle. Next, the curries which we had once we got home. I asked the gentleman to recommend two curries, one fish and one chicken. The fish curry was a white fish which usually works in curries but in this instance it was super watery and very fishy. Usually you can enjoy the sauce with the rice at least but it was literally like fish soup. Gross. The chicken curry had a slightly better flavour but there were so many bones to pick out that it made it a hassle to eat. I've never known a piece of chicken to have that many bones, they were all small and thin. Ick. I'll settle for a traditional curry house next time.

Their Shahi Chicken Jeera Massala is fabulous. There is some off street parking hidden round the back if you drive down the very narrow alley along the right of the restaurant (as you look at it from the road).

The premises are decorated in the 'curry house style' without being kitschy and the Indian muzak played is not too loud - actually I've become quite fond of it! Thanks to the division of the place into three separate areas it is possible to accommodate couples as well as larger parties without the one disturbing the other. The customer service is second to none (hot towels and complimentary chocolates) and the staff are very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It does however get very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, so there may well be quite a wait in between courses. On these nights I recommend visiting after 8.30pm. The menu offers a great selection of traditional dishes for both starters and main courses, as well as a selection of specials - I can heartily recommend the tandoori mixed grill (served with a naan bead), the garlic lamb and the chicken chana. The vegetable side dishes, rices and breads are all of exceptional quality. Everything is served in very generous portions. Don't leave room for dessert, it's not worth it. There is bottled and draught beer available as well as wine and softdrinks. The full menu is available to take away for which there is a 10% discount and only a half hour wait from order to collection.

When we go out to eat we normally argue over Indian or Chinese food so this was perfect as it has both!! Situated above the new Buddha Bar which used to be Natraj indian Restuarant, in the Beford place area. The decor inside is very modern and upmarket and looks really nice, it has a nice atmosphere and the service is good. On the two occasions we have been be have opted for the buffet which is half indian and half chinese. On both occasions the food has been wondeful. Both sets of food have obviously been cooked by someone who knows what they are doing and there is a good range. Chinese wise i remember there being - Steamed rice, fried rice, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce, pekinf duck, another main dish, spring rolls, prawn toasts, prawn crackers and a few other bits. Indian - Pilau rice, onion bahji, pakoras, naan bread, korma, tikka, another hotter curry, popadoms and then salad. The only downside to this is the expensive price which was around £17.00. I know it is a mixed buffet but for southampton this is a bit high. However i think this will go down as there were not many people in there. Drinks were also not cheap. Worth a go if you have the cash tho!

Decor is really nice and waiting staff were very nice and welcoming. We had a mix of Buffet and menu - buffet which included Indian and Chinese dishes (over 20 dishes) was very well priced at £13.95pp and a la carte menu was also well priced. Our bill came to under £65 for 4 people including drinks and this is well below what you would expect to pay for a nice food and venue. worth a visit - we'll definately book next time
