The flow of the Reiki 1 course worked beautifully: we had ample opportunities to practice giving and receiving Reiki treatments (with Liz alongside us providing gentle guidance and instruction), and we learned the history of Reiki through Liz's Reiki history lessons (called Reiki stories), which were split up into four parts over the two-day course. I left Sunday afternoon with my Reiki 1 certificate and a renewed sense of self, which resulted in a more relaxed, less anxious me. This gave me feelings of being dismissed, not valued, not taken seriously, not considered important. All the things I am trying to get help with from a reiki practioner and life coach. I also had to have my husband take care of my child to do this with her. I also had to take time off work to be there during work hours. These things matter to me too. I didn't think this was a professional thing to do. And more importantly she never said I might have to cancel due to my husband's work hours or made that very clear. I visited Maria at her Solano Ave location which was lovely, with ample street parking available. She has helped me whenever I have any problem affected me mentally or physically - yes, even physically. During 2017/ 2018 I often got sick with the respiratory flares, came up with many hospital trips, tests, medications - nothing really helped. Tamara had done some energy healing/ soul retrieving/ trauma release for me in few sessions. She could read some traumas happened to my great grandma, grandma from my mother's side which rooted to my respiratory ilness. I never knew those traumas until she told me and I got confirmed all of that really happened by my mom. All of my serious symptoms have been gone until now. Though I've already known Tamara's amazing abilities, honestly, I am still surprised with each time she has helped me. After the some of issues happened within my family during last few years, terrible muscle pains started on my back. Again, hospital trips, X ray, medications, accupuncture, chiropractic for months became year - nothing helped. The pains were so intense, came up to my neck and jaws that made me think it must be from physical aging, physical illness. My mind was foggy filling with depression. Last 2 in-person session started this February, Tamara did fire reiki with her hands laying on me. After the first session, the pains on my back and neck started to dissolve.
