In those…read more11+ years I have gone back to school to get my degree, changed careers, gotten laid off twice (once during 2020), found work again in less than two months, and always found something higher-paying and with a better commute every time, as if the layoffs were a hidden gift. I have also nearly tripled my salary since I first saw Amanda and am much more satisfied with my line of work. I am also grateful to have found a new job in my field with a company that is hiring since I'm in a field in which the layoffs are higher right now. If I had never been a client of hers, I expect that I would be still be in a job that I didn't care about, making about half of what I make now, and working it only for the paycheck. I have always struggled with cover letters/resumes but was skeptical that someone would be able to help me. I went to the website and booked a free 20 minute consult with Inayah to discuss more indept what I was seeking. When it was time for the consult, she was professional and asked me what my current status is. If I was unemployed or in between careers. I told her that I am currently employed full time but in order to grow within my organization, I need to have a revised email. I gave her a copy of my 3 year old resume which was close to 3 pages long. Within a week, she provided with a draft to look over and double check. To me, writing my own résumé was like cutting my own hair.
