We were able to schedule our roof replacement when we wanted to get it done and the job was completed in just two days. We were impressed that it was such a quick and smooth process. After our roof was done, our gutters just took one day to replace.. so in total, it only took 3 days to get a brand new roof and gutters! Also, throughout the entire process, Elijah (the project manager?) kept us updated on how things were going and was also easily reachable for any questions we had. We appreciated the good communication! My only minor "complaint" would be that the cleanup after the job being done wasn't 100%. There were a few scraps and caution tape leftover from the roof job, and then a large ladder was left from the gutter job. However, and more importantly, it was still a job very well done and we are happy with how things turned out. I would recommend NearMe if you are looking to get a roof or gutter replacement!

    I signed a contract with Universal Electric P&W in June 2024 to install a solar system on my home…read more It was supposed to be finished by November 20, 2024. As of October 2025, nothing is installed. I've had repeated delays and now a mechanics lien (~$25,000) for materials I never received. I'm up against the December 31, 2025 deadline for federal incentives. Details of delays & issues: Over ~16 months I've been given shifting reasons: Expired business license Truck accident destroying materials City permit office staffing delays Supplier delays and blaming Puget Sound Energy (PSE) The company also told me they would try other suppliers. They gave me a couple of company names. I contacted those suppliers directly. They reported no purchase orders or material requests tied to my project and no record of engagement from the contractor for my job. A lien (~$25,000) was filed against my home for materials never delivered and that appear to be associated with a different project. I have paid $25,000 and still have no installation. If anyone else has been burned buy this company feel free to reach out.

First of all, he appears to have copied and pasted his response from a complaint my mother made elsewhere. There are also a few problems with his response. Nels blocked my mother's number on May 19th. There was no request to cease contact, and I will attach proof of this. We have attempted no additional text contact with him after that, though we did call a couple of times to leave brief voicemails asking for answers to simple questions. He blocked my number the next day with a similar lack of request to cease contact. I will include proof of that. Furthermore, when you call the business number, no one ever answers. All our calls to the main "office" just go to voicemail, and the number listed on google goes to someone who doesn't work with the company anymore. I don't think anyone works at the office. I don't think there's an office at all. As far as my knowledge goes, the business mainly consists of Nels Jackson and his wife. Additionally, I would like to address the suspicious identity of "Erik H." who replied to my review. The profile photo used is identical to that of Nels Jackson as the business owner on this Yelp page as well as Nels Jackson on the company website, where he and his wife are listed as owners. This strongly suggests "Erik H." may be a pseudonym used to respond to customer complaints, which is misleading. Now that we have gotten that out of the way, I want to express concern that he has chosen to make bizarre claims that my mother and I are engaging in racism and abuse towards UEPNW rather than do something in order to sit down with us and explain what the charges are in regards to the cancelation policy outlined in the contract. These claims are not only false, but a clear attempt to deflect from our legitimate concerns. We have consistently attempted to resolve this situation respectfully and have simply asked for an itemized breakdown of cancellation charges as outlined in our contract, and a clear explanation of the refund amount owed to us. Finally, I have confirmed with the lender, PSCCU, that there is absolutely no need for Nels to "work with them" to return our funds. PSCCU's lending agreement is not with Nels Jackson. Their lending agreement is with us. Furthermore, we did not hire PSCCU to install solar, we hired Nels Jackson. I have an agreement with Nels, and I have an agreement with PSCCU. They do not have an agreement with each other. All he has to do is cut a check and apply it to our account, but I don't believe that he wants to do this. It is my fervent wish to wash my hands of this company and move on from this absolute dumpster fire of a situation, but I'm not doing that without a refund of some sort. If Nels wants to insist that we are exhibiting behaviors of abuse and racism, I would implore him to gather and present that evidence. I can prove that we *didn't* do it based on call records, call times, text messages, and emails. I have every communication I have ever made with the company, and we have made relatively few calls to the owner despite the egregious material breach of contract he has committed. I apologize to anyone who may experience distress upon reviewing his reply to me. I have reported it to Yelp and given my attorney opportunity to review it and prepare a cease and desist letter. Also, since he wanted to bring politics into it, I'd like to remind Nels Jackson that we signed our contract on 11/8/2024, which occurred *after* the results of the 2024 presidential election. If anything was brought up in regards to the current administration, it was due to concern that the 30% tax incentive could be repealed and thus we would not be able to afford the project. We are deeply frustrated by how this situation has unfolded and continue to seek a resolution in good faith. Unfortunately, Mr. Jackson's public statements have left us no choice but to pursue legal remedies, including a formal cease and desist letter written by the attorney I've been in contact with since these escalations began. We have submitted the defamatory review to Yelp for investigation. As a final note, I will include a photograph of the substandard wall patch performed during the EV charger installation--the only work completed on our property. It was incomplete, rough, and unprofessional. There is still a visible hole in the wall, and the surface is not smooth. We hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly. Our only goal is to move forward with integrity. I hope that Mr. Jackson is willing to do that without any further attempts at deflection and defamation.
