The customer service unfriendly lady, told me she could not read the receipt (not my problem) and said only a gift card could be issued. I immediately looked around so I could spend this card. I purchased three items at self checkout and asked the young man to sssist with this card. He took it swiped and said it's done and I could go ahead and pay the additional amt. Once I did I reviewed the receipt & there was no amt applied. I inquired and the individual said it did. I mean ridiculous and he had taken the card or shall I say stole it. No more Walmart for unless they pay me my money!!

The gift bag I bought was $2.00. I'd picked out another one and it was $1.50. Helium filled balloons were (I think) $3.00-$5.00 dollars. The man working was very nice and said helium prices were up. Could be, I don't buy balloons very often. I might be wrong, but it seemed like most of the items I saw in the store were very similar to items I've seen at Dollar Tree, etc. except at most other "dollar" stores, their items are ... ahem... a dollar.

I really enjoyed its beer cave attached to the store which featured a wide selection of Fine Wines and a small selection of my favorite non-alcoholic drinks. Shopping wise, this place featured a great deal of grocery items and the staff here was absolutely friendly and helpful at the same time. There's a little bit of construction going on too which should be over in the next couple of days. Items are a little bit pricey for my standards but it nearly has everything that I look forward in a grocery store. This place is usually pretty packed with the parking lot and as you may have to park pretty far and walk a bit to get to the store. But checking out surprisingly is pretty quick.

It is kind of like what hardware stores used to be - before they became "home centers." Looking closely, you might notice that while there might not be a large selection of brands, there is a great selection of useful hardware items. And those items are usually good quality and at a reasonable price. I have always been greeted at the door, and if I appeared lost someone would come to my aid. Being less than a half mile from my home I have come to think of it as my other work shop when I need that one item to finish a project. While you might not be able to order a full kitchen remodel, you will easily find the faucet washer you need to stop that leaking faucet in your current kitchen. So do not think of it as some kind of farm store, think of it as your savior when your tool box does not contain the specific piece of hardware that it hold you up.
