Even though I always remind contractors to tidy up afterward, we still found screws, nails, empty water bottles, and other materials left behind -- unfortunately, this seems to be common with many companies. We also had an issue with the placement of one downspout. It was installed right next to our hose spigot, leaving no room to turn it on or off. We had to have the company return to adjust it. I called and left a message and within a day received a call back from Burt. I explained the job, he indicated that his estimator would contact me to come out and provide a proposal. Indeed, the estimator, Eric, called and we set an appointment. I requested an early morning appointment, he said he could give me one at 9am. My response "is that really 9 am, or is it a South Florida 9 am where you show at 10 or 11?" "No, I live in Deerfield Beach and you will be my first call of the day. I'll be there by 9." And Eric did show up, not at 9, but at 8:45 AM. He was professional, took his measurements, and explained a problem with the installation of the DISH satellite - it was attached to the facia board and needed to be installed differently to allow for the proper installation of the gutter. He guided me on what to explain to DISH, which was most helpful. He also explained that an area that I wanted fixed was not doable by his company. It involved a length of gutter which is part of the screen pool cage enclosure, and he said he wished email me the name of a reliable person who could handle that job. Eric gave me the job price and said a proposal would be sent by email at the end of the day. And yup, I received the proposal. And the name of the guy who could repair the gutter which is part of the pool enclosure enclosure. I was impressed! After DISH reinstalled the satellite in such a manner that it was not attached to the facia, I texted Eric to advise that we could proceed. An installation date was to be worked out with the Installation Department. Two days later the install guys showed up, even though I had not received an appointment. Luckily I was at home. (This was the only glitch). The guys, Kyle and Dennis, were polite, worked well together and were finished in less than one hour. They were tipped for their efficiency and good vibe attitude. No qualms recommending them to anyone. Can't wait for a heavy rain to see them work!
