Poor management and communication. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes and instead try to cover up.

Our child had also outgrown their existing day care - the children were well taken care of but our child was ready for a more stimulating experience. Our future vision for our child's education also involved French Immersion. It was through random word-of-mouth that Cousteau was recommended to us. We haven't looked back. The small class sizes. The celebration and embrace of French culture. The 8 a.m. child care. The report cards. The after school clubs that introduced our child to ballet, soccer, music, math, stories from around the world and cooking (at 3 years old!). The daily surprise of discovering our child has learned something new (yes dear that is the Canadian flag!). We began our Cousteau journey believing we would leave after pre-school. The superior educational experience (especially when compared to what we learned about other French Immersion options on the North Shore) and the on-going development we see in our child has convinced us to stay long-term. I have clear memories of being terrified of school during my first day of Kindergarten. Our child has no such fears, puts on her backpack and is proud to go to school every day. She is so far beyond my development at the same age it's incredible. I encourage anyone considering Cousteau to go to an open house, or register for their summer camps to give the school a try. It's worth it.

From the moment we walked into her classroom, it was clear how much care and dedication she put into creating a nurturing and structured learning environment. Her classroom was always neat, organized, and filled with engaging educational materials, hands-on activities, and books that supported each child's development. There were many children Giuliano's age, and it was so comforting to see how happy and excited they were to be there each day. My son truly enjoyed going and developed a love for learning early on. Mrs. Athina took the time to guide him not only academically--with early arithmetic--but also with important life skills like sharing, independence, and responsibility. Through her support, Giuliano built confidence and strong foundational skills that I am still grateful for today. I am also so proud to see her daughter, Marisa Dritsas, continue this beautiful legacy. Her Montessori classroom is absolutely stunning--bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed with natural materials and child-sized learning spaces that encourage independence and exploration. The outdoor area is just as lovely, giving children space to play, learn, and connect with nature. Marisa is calm, patient, and genuinely caring. She goes above and beyond to support each child's individual needs and learning pace. The Montessori approach is truly reflected in her work--fostering independence, creativity, and confidence in every child. I highly recommend Kensington Montessori to any parent looking for a warm, supportive, and enriching environment for their child's early education.

I registered my daughter (she is 9) in Park Place Montessori Daycare (Brooks bank) for summer…read moreprograms. I had heard Montessori Daycares have great care and service. BTW, my daughter was hit and called names in the class by one of the staff's grandkids (who was in my daughter's class) and it was repeated several times. the first 2-3 times they just reported to me that there was a conflict and everything is alright. Regardless of my daughter's complaints I tried to be positive and considered it a quarrel between kids. However, it never stopped during these 2 months and the instructors seemed to have not much reaction after the hit or call names. The grandma (one of the staff) apologized to me twice for what has happened but they could never manage to stop the kid. Checking the parent's camera I figured out the kid sometimes hit/bullies other kids as well. When I told the main teacher, she denied it. So I recorded what I saw the next time and told them I have the record. After recording, again they apologized and forced me to talk to the kid's grandma and she told me what do you want from me? I (confused) told her I wanted nothing just to manage the situation. The last time the kid hit my child, my daughter got really frustrated and broke a toy. They immediately called me that she has broke the toy and can't control herself. I asked what was the reason and I heard again the same thing! Finally, I emailed the manager and what I received was: "Children at the age of 5 and 6 years old and older do exhibit these behaviors at some times. Some children have a hard time expressing emotions and resort to name calling and physical behaviors." and many more changes in the scenario to show that my daughter caused her to be hit or be called names. On the other hand, my husband left a 1-star review and the lady replied that "you are spam from Africa or India!" again my husband wrote another review and explained we are not spam and she immediately reported the review. If you search Park Place Montessori Daycare (Brooks bank) on google you see quite a few 5-star reviews and a 1-star which has a reply accusing the child and the mother again(right/wrong). Here are other experiences to share with you: - The tuition is high compared to the service - They don't give children the food they have on their schedule. - For after school, you see a variety of activities but at least 40 percent of the activities never happen and kids are wandering around for hours doing nothing (Camera records). -The main teacher for after school is nice and caring though she is not always there. -The manager is somehow aggressive rather than friendly. She sent me 6 emails fort and back to make me accept what she is telling is the right thing ( I had never have such breathtaking communication). It was a long story but hope it would be useful for those who are looking for a good place to take care of their child.
