It's clear they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in how happy and engaged the kids are every day. The activities are thoughtfully planned and well-rounded, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and independence. My daughter especially loves the practical life skills--she comes home excited to show us how she can pour, sweep, and take care of her belongings. It's amazing to see her confidence grow through these everyday responsibilities. The materials and learning environment are excellent -- clean, inviting, and filled with enriching tools that support both play-based and structured learning. I've seen so much growth in my daughter since she started, both socially and developmentally. Highly recommend to any family looking for a warm, engaging, and supportive preschool!

BMS did an excellent job with the gradual transition and were very supportive for her. They were accommodating and gave us good suggestions for how we could support her. She's fully transitioned now and thriving. The teachers are able to maintain and fun, calm, and stimulating learning environment where we've seen some huge changes overall with our child's development. We really appreciate the organized weekly reports, month ahead schedules, parent-teacher interviews, and parent observations. We're super happy overall and will definitely be recommending BMS to anyone who's curious!

I absolutely love the fact that they go for walks on any nice day. I find the teachers are very caring and are very attentive to her individual needs. The only complaint I would have is the cost...but because the quality of care is so good, I wouldn't change a thing.

The most loving and caring environment that I could wish for for my son. While the building is…read moreolder and not the most attractive, the caregivers and teachers are wonderful and very actively involved with all of the children. There are 2 rooms (1-3 year olds) and (3-5 year olds), an indoor gym on the top floor, an outdoor playground and lots of outdoor space to play (fields, forest and lovely walking trails). My son loves Dinosaur Daycare and I know that he feels loved and secure while there. It's a bonus that he is also learning and developing as much as he is, but in a caring environment like that, it makes complete sense. I cannot recommend Dinosaur Daycare enough.

She is caring, knowledgeable, and most of all the kids actually listen to her! We sent our middle child here a few years back and are now sending our youngest. There was never any separation anxiety with either of my boys on the first day, the teacher makes them feel that welcome and individually special. My middle guy is now in kindergarten and his teachers were thoroughly impressed with his knowledge of the numbers, letters, and letter sounds. I know it is because of this school that my son has now done so well in full day kindergarten. I want to share this school with others so that their children can flourish as mine have.

All the kids/parents/grandparents are amazing and it is a very welcoming environment. Very clean and very trust worthy. After 6 months my daughter was a different kid, she grew and leant so much! I would HIGHLY recommend this pre school to everyone!

While we were there, we called and mailbox is not assign and we email Shaun also. I guess the first RED flag was it took him around a week to even get back to us for this appointment. Place was not very secure too, someone could have easily came into the premises and took all the toys away.

We've looked at about 14 centres at this point. In that pool, I would say there was 1 5 star, 3 4…read morestar, and the rest were 1-2. Needless to say, they all cost an arm and a leg. This is the 5 star. From the moment we walked in the door, we were hit with a sense of both home and calm. The environment was all about calm, neutral colors, child lead art, plants, animals, and natural materials like wood, branches, leaves, and pinecones. When we walked past the kitchen, it smelled like fresh baking (the children were cooking with one of the teachers). On the rug in the adjacent area, an instructor was leading a group of children in a yoga class. It was almost comically amazing. We were lead through to the main activity room and talked a bit about the philosophy of the centre, where we learned that they follow a 'emergent' curriculum, which is apparently about learning the children's interests and building the curriculum to suit. Naturally. Though I wasn't surprised, I was still very disappointed to learn there are more than 100 families ahead of us on the waitlist. Still, we may get in depending on the circumstances. Here's hoping!

Wind and Tide preschools are so great. I had my daughter in one and then we moved and she finished…read moreout her second year at a different preschool, and it was a disaster. She was so bored. We drive quite a distance to make sure my numeber 2 child is in Wind and Tide. The Christian aspect worried me at first because I am pretty agnostic, but it is totally Christian lite... with no stringent requirements like kneeling at parent teacher interviews or anything (I am joking, don't get all freaked out) Anyway, the curriculum is fantastic, both my kids are better off for their time at W&T and the teachers are absolutely the best. They have other programs like Toast minors public speaking and some other ready to read programs. They have a family life aspect with gues lecturers and events for grown ups. Love it. Be warned, waiting lists for all their schools are EPIC.

A "parent-run" playschool, the Board is composed of parents with children currently enrolled…read more Unfortunately, the Board operates in the manner of most building strata councils, i.e., terribly. Dropping my little girl to school I often worried for her welfare in my absence. However, I made several attempts to communicate my concerns to the teacher and each time I was met with little more than a blank stare. I later learned that my daughter became upset at school one day, inconsolably so, and rather than call me to take the matter in hand, the awful teacher sent her to a corner to cry herself to sleep! I thought this quite abusive, particularly given that my child did not arrive at school in bad humour, nor lacking for sleep, so that was the end of it for me. What a terrible woman, and what an awful introduction to school for my sensitive, intelligent little girl. Changing to another school for the 2011/12 school year, she is flourishing, so parents need to know that the school one chooses must not only be carefully considered, but carefully monitored as well. Never allow a teacher to brush aside your concerns. Ask a lot of questions, and don't leave until you get the answers.Though billing itself as a parent participation preschool, the BFLP is not a member of the Council of Parent Participation Preschools in British Columbia, and it is little wonder indeed.
