We submitted a detailed shot list in advance, which the lead photographer, Lena, admitted she barely glanced at and chose to ignore. Important, personal photos we requested were completely missed--and somehow, we were blamed. Even though she admitted fault, we were told timelines were the issue. There was no accountability, and no apology. The video team missed a key moment from our reception and gave us a rushed trailer with mismatched music. When we flagged the errors (that should've been caught with a basic review), we were told we'd have to wait two more months for a revision. Absurd. We were constantly following up on every piece of this process--Photoshop edits, album corrections, video revisions. There was no quality control, no urgency, and we were the ones catching their mistakes over and over again. We even drove out to meet with them in person to get things resolved. Jovon, the owner, made a lot of promises--that we'd be made a priority, that things would be expedited. But afterward? Nothing. He called once, said he'd follow up, and then disappeared. No resolution, no genuine accountability. The admin, Lisa, was rigid with her limited schedule and not helpful when trying to coordinate team meetings. The editing team was sweet and you could tell they really cared to make us happy, but clearly inexperienced--we had to walk them through multiple corrections on video calls they'd never done before. For the price we paid, this lack of professionalism was shocking. The only bright spot was Carlos, their lead videographer. He was kind, positive, and tried his best--but unfortunately, his efforts were drowned out by the team's carelessness. In the end, we did get our final photos and videos only because we spent countless personal hours managing their process, reviewing everything ourselves, and doing the job they should have been doing. We really hate writing a review like this--especially about a family-owned business--but we gave them so many chances to make it right, and they just didn't care enough. If you're considering Jovon Photography: they will treat you like a priority until your wedding is over. After that, you'll be chasing them for months, fixing their mistakes, and left heartbroken by how little care is given to your most important memories.

A combo of non-cheesy poses, fun candids + simple décor shots. With the posed shots, it took a while to trust Jash's directions (2 one-hour pre-wedding sessions actually!). Poses felt awkward. But he knows what he's doing; the pictures came back looking natural. Without those sessions to allow us to get used to the camera, the wedding day would've been a lot less comfortable. The day-of, Jashim arrived + went straight to work. Other than the few times he purposely pulled us aside to get specific shots, he went unnoticed. We went about our evening; he captured it all without getting in the way. His turnaround is fast. He had a few teaser pictures on his blog within 2 weeks, the balance online 2 weeks later. His prices are very fair + competitive. He made himself available, easily reachable to answer questions, bounce ideas off of, etc... Didn't show any impatience/frustration (even though I was a very needy bride!). Having first obsessed over Jash's blog and now our pictures, I can tell that in addition to his style and to some degree his personality, he also reflects the couple's personality in each pic very well. He doesn't take cookie-cutter pictures, and while there is definitely a common Jashim thread, they are all very different from each other. I know ours represent us and our wedding perfectly. The one thing I would maybe complain about now (if this even is a complaint) is that the pictures are so great, I can't get enough of them and I want more, more, more!!! We were fortunate to have been selected as part of a trial run in his family documentary section, and I will say that this guy definitely knows what he's doing and has not only an eye for quality but a passion for photography that's clear in each image he captures! Jashim spent a long long day with us as a family, and that's not always easy for someone who isn't use to being around children. Immediately he took the time to connect with my kids, ages 4 and 7, and took the time to make them comfortable and put them at ease as he cautiously took snaps of them both candid and posed. He was able to capture our family dynamics, and when we looked back at the images, we were so happy with them. They were outside and beyond the typical posed family portraits, the pictures had life and a story behind it, and I can't thank Jashim enough for his hard work and efforts behind it.
