Amazing all around! Dan has photographed my children in various capacities for several years now and there hasn't been a picture that I don't like. His rapport with children is natural and he will go out of the box to get amazing shots. He truly captures their personality in every pic. My son has autism and never smiles and it's often impossible to get a good picture and Dan has done it multiple times. He's also very sensitive to flash and Dan has produced consistently amazing shots. The holiday shoot he did of my kids last year blew me away. He was able to fit is in last minute during a very busy holiday season. My kids were cranky and we only had 30 minutes but Dan worked his magic and we were able to get a beautiful shot for our Christmas card and other amazing pictures which we framed as gifts for the grandparents. Dan does it all. Our first professional encounter was when he photographed my daughter's dance studio. I loved what he did so much that I was able to convince my school PTA to use him for school picture day. He even photographed our schools fundraising gala! He was very professional from his proposal to the physical prints and everyone loved their photos. Sadly, I no longer live in the NYC area but I am considering booking with him on my trips home. At our first meeting, Dan took the time not only to explain to us what kind of photographer he is and how he works but also to get an understanding of what we were looking for in our wedding photos. It was clear that he wanted to make sure that he was a good match for us--this was very encouraging and refreshing. My husband and I did not want too many photos that looked posed and unnatural. While we did want SOME posed family photos, we really wanted our wedding photos to document the candid, emotional, exciting, passionate, fun and funny moments that occurred throughout the evening. We wanted to be able to re-live our wedding day as much as possible when looking at our photos. Dan absolutely delivered on what we wanted. Because we hired him to do our engagement photos as well, knowing what we wanted to accomplish, Dan used our engagement photos session as a "rehearsal". He wanted us to get comfortable with not being overly concerned with where the camera was and inadvertently posing for the camera. It was so interesting to go through the engagement photos he took--our pictures at the end of the day were much more natural and in line with what we wanted. It was great practice for us for the big day. The pictures from our wedding day were exactly what we wanted--the first time we looked through our photos we were so happy and emotional. The images captured so many amazing moments and emotions and really brought us back to our wedding day.
