A combo of non-cheesy poses, fun candids + simple décor shots. With the posed shots, it took a while to trust Jash's directions (2 one-hour pre-wedding sessions actually!). Poses felt awkward. But he knows what he's doing; the pictures came back looking natural. Without those sessions to allow us to get used to the camera, the wedding day would've been a lot less comfortable. The day-of, Jashim arrived + went straight to work. Other than the few times he purposely pulled us aside to get specific shots, he went unnoticed. We went about our evening; he captured it all without getting in the way. His turnaround is fast. He had a few teaser pictures on his blog within 2 weeks, the balance online 2 weeks later. His prices are very fair + competitive. He made himself available, easily reachable to answer questions, bounce ideas off of, etc... Didn't show any impatience/frustration (even though I was a very needy bride!). Having first obsessed over Jash's blog and now our pictures, I can tell that in addition to his style and to some degree his personality, he also reflects the couple's personality in each pic very well. He doesn't take cookie-cutter pictures, and while there is definitely a common Jashim thread, they are all very different from each other. I know ours represent us and our wedding perfectly. The one thing I would maybe complain about now (if this even is a complaint) is that the pictures are so great, I can't get enough of them and I want more, more, more!!! Couldn't be happier with Jashim. We had high expectations; with no videographer, it was crucial that the photos come back PERFECT! He didn't just meet them; he exceeded them by far. We were fortunate to have been selected as part of a trial run in his family documentary section, and I will say that this guy definitely knows what he's doing and has not only an eye for quality but a passion for photography that's clear in each image he captures! Jashim spent a long long day with us as a family, and that's not always easy for someone who isn't use to being around children. Immediately he took the time to connect with my kids, ages 4 and 7, and took the time to make them comfortable and put them at ease as he cautiously took snaps of them both candid and posed. He was able to capture our family dynamics, and when we looked back at the images, we were so happy with them. They were outside and beyond the typical posed family portraits, the pictures had life and a story behind it, and I can't thank Jashim enough for his hard work and efforts behind it. If you're ever in the lookout for a photographer who not only is looking to take a few pics, but wants to give you a personal experience, definitely recommend Jashim. They were a pleasure to work with on the day of--organized, fun, unobtrusive, and put at ease. We're really picky about photos and video, and dislike most of the ones we see from other weddings, which often feel a bit overwrought and 'wedding'-y. BOM documented the wedding exactly to our tastes: down-to-earth, extremely well composed, and captured the day beautifully. They also did lovely posed Korean-style couple photos in addition, which was important to us. Adam, the videographer, put together a wonderful video that was also exactly what we were looking for (both a short trailer-style and a longer one, about an hour and a quarter). It similarly felt like a very natural and satisfying document of our wedding. He was also extremely patient and spent a long time working with us, accommodating our feedback to get the video exactly to our preferences. I doubt we could have found either photos or videos better from anywhere else, even booking them separately, and the package together from BOM was a great deal. Could not recommend more highly.

However when it came time to pick our wedding photographer, we were not limited by location. We spoke with many photographers all over the country and looked at countless websites. After exchanging emails and conference calls with Terry & Maike, we just knew Gruber Photographers were the right fit. It wasn't until we met Maike (and her assistant Julia) in Positano, Italy a few days before the wedding that we knew how right we actually were. We are happy with Gruber Photographers because: (1) they responded to emails / calls, on all occasions, with virtually no wait time. (2) they were flexible with my son's difficult circumstance. (3) Olga spent a great deal of up-front time planning and communicating with my son on the logistics of the surprise photo session. (4) Olga's pictures were perfect. (4) they provided a couple of the photographs, within hours, so my son could have a couple for social media. (5) within a week, they provided unlimited digital access to more photos than were agreed to (over 130 photographs). I highly recommend Gruber Photographers.
