I was nervous about booking her due to fears of getting lighting correct (various cultures, background, poor lighting conditions, weather issues) but my trusted friend had used her, I prayed about it and she was the most flexible person when needing to do an unconventional uncommon event package and pricing. I am not disappointed in any way. She arrived early, gave clear direction, gave her all, and my entire family loved her beyond measure. They all want to have her photograph events. She's able to beautifully capture all skin hues (even next to each other) regardless of lighting Conditions or weather. We had a rained out event, and truthfully you can not tell it was stormy and wet based on the pictures. The quality was second to none and it's the best photography experience I've ever been a part of, including being in a bridal party for many many weddings. I look forward to her being my go-to photographer for all events and sessions. I truly loved her work, and I remain grateful for the many ways her ideas, network, resourcefulness and spirit helped turn an awful day into a miracle.

Then a few days before our photos, I reached back out because I hadn't heard from her, and she said she never booked it because we "didn't have a deposit or contract," which I had asked about! From now on, I will go with hiring real photography companies and not just a random person with a camera.

We were first blown away when we saw how rich, vibrant, and creative her photos were compared to other photographers we saw online. We knew after speaking with her that she was the photographer of our dreams. She even sent us the most thoughtful gift that was personalized to us prior to the wedding. Every step of the way she was there for every question or any guidance we needed her for. We chose a blended style of photojournalistic and posed shots. Everyone raved about her as a photographer and some who had events coming up asked for her information. Seeing a few previews, we know fully that we will be blown away by the photographs. Both my now husband and I are terrible at taking photos and so goofy and uncomfortable taking photos. Caitlin and Lexi made us feel so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera! I believe the day will be captured so well by them. I plan to cherish the photos that captured our day for the rest of our lives. Do not even second guess book Caitlin and her team and you will be in the right hands.

Finding a time where everyone was in one place was always a challenge. BUT, we were already planning a family getaway weekend in Woodstock, so no challenge there. The next part, finding a photographer who was available the day I wanted, who was good (really good!) and reasonably priced. I did research the way I always do...first I turned to my friends. "Help!" I said, "I need to find a photographer in the Hudson valley or Catskills for a family photo shoot. Does anyone know anyone?" No one knew anybody. So, then I turned to Yelp, cause what else do you do? I reached out to 5 photographers...and from the first email, Denise stood out. She was friendly, to the point, and had a beautiful portfolio to share. Her prices were reasonably and she exuded a warmth and sincerity, even through emails, that was palpable. I booked her. When she showed up at our rental house to photograph all nine of us (ranging in age from 3 to 77) she was nothing but professional, friendly and gracious. She was on time (to the minute). And full of energy and guidance. Our hour of photo time went quickly!! it was fun! And, even though the youngest had a few minute long meltdown, Denise was not phased...and ended up getting some of the best photos during and after the meltdown. She edited and emailed the photos so quickly! And even got my hard digital copy in the mail super fast. The photos themselves are gorgeous, and there are quite a few we are looking forward to framing. She truly got my idea to fruition, perfectly. if you have any event photography or portrait needs anywhere near the Hudson Valley, reach out to Denise. You won't regret it!
