Trout
Doug G.

Great experience since I have never caught a trout before. They are farm raised and used to the bait. I was just throwing the line in with out bait and they were striking at it. A little expensive for a couple of tiny fish but it was worth it. Come and try them out.

Grilling fish

Caught 3 fishes within the first hour! We love how easy it is to check-in: grab a pole, get a bucket, and some bait. Once you catch your fish you can get it cleaned $0.50/fish or take home with ice. You pay $1.50/inch to keep your fish and can cook on the grills they have on site. We recommend the grill kit comes with lemon, salt, pepper, utensils, plate, and foil. Plenty of space for lots of people and children! So much fun!

Trouts

Amazing location. Lots of trouts and overall a great stop Amazing views and very calm vibe, great spots for pictures and they cleaned our fish at the end, dog friendly and family friendly, we had a blast, be aware that if not a great experienced driver it's going to be stressful to get out since it's a curvy way and only two lanes But definitely worth it

Grab a pole, get some bait, throw it in and catch 'em! This is a great first time spot to get kids hooked on fishing! You pay per catch - what's neat is you can grill 'em up while you hang and soak in the views or they will clean 'em, pack 'em up and you can head out to enjoy at home! They kids had a blast. And we did as well. It was so much fun. A quick experience really and fairly inexpensive. They lost expensive part is IF if you catch a big fish. The rest of the experience is $1 or so!

Keep an eye out for the driveway. It's a bit hidden!! Prices are $1 per fisher. Price per fish caught varies. They'll clean it for 50 cents. Check into Yelp and one fisher is free. They supply the stinky bait, pole and net. Don't know what the bait is, but flies love it. No catching with the net!! No catch and release. You pay for the fish you catch. I was so ready, unfortunately the fishes were smarter than this suburban girl. Sigh!! After an hour I gave up. No charge if you catch nothing. I thought I would be having a trout tonight but instead we went for Indian food take out. Most of the people who sucked gave this place low stars. I don't think it's right if you suck at catching fish. There's plenty of people who knew what to do. So 4 stars because I had fun. Minus a star because the bathroom was rank. Seriously gross.

SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT On a Sunday afternoon, came with expectations of a guaranteed catch to take home and have a scrumptious grilled trout for dinner. I have vivid memories of this place years ago with the ponds teeming with fish to the point they were jumping out of the pond to bite your hook as soon as you lower your line above the water. I dare say it wasn't even fun because it was so easy, catching them in less than 10 seconds. Some important ground rules: You must keep what you catch Buckets are free to use to hold your fish No nets allowed to catch fish Must use the rods on site (bamboo stick with a line tied to it) Must use the bait provided (feels like a ball of play dough) You pay small admission fee to fish plus each fish priced by length This day was a far cry of those bountiful days at the farm and was wishing it to be that easy again. There were just a few fish swimming around the banks with maybe a couple dozen in the center. I would drop my bait right in front of the fish and it would go around it. I would even hit the fish in the head with my bait as it swam by but the fish were unphased LOL You could see balls of bait just sitting all over the bottom of the pond. I don't know if the fish were full or were spoiled and tired of the same 'ol bait, but these were the pickiest fish I ever encountered. Maybe the influx of visitors after the pandemic cleared out the most of the fish in the prior weeks but there was hardly any in there. Needless to say- NOT ONE fish caught. The only guranteed catch is at the grocery store apparently.

An amazing place! I came up to do learn fly fishing and my guide Chase was very patient and extremely knowledgable. I feel he put me on a correct path for my fly fishing journey. After we were done he showed me around the operation. I have been planning on bringing my grandchildren up so they could catch some fish at the trout farm. I watched the very small kids catching their first fish having a wonderful time. There were tables and Barbecue's and every one was having a good time. I caught a beautiful 15 inch trout and the young woman at front was very helpful and cleaned my fish for me and answered all my questions. If all of this wasn't enough you are in a very beautiful part of Sedona! If you want learn to fly fish or introduce your family to fishing this is the place

Super fun and we caught fish fast! The day was perfect weather and service was great. It was pretty quiet when we were there. The fish is per inch so can add up fast. Bring your own foil, sides and plates/silver to save money. Quick trip but worth the time!

This place is AWESOME! The guy that gave us instructions was super friendly. Sorry we didn't catch your name. My little family and I were visiting Arizona. After doing some sightseeing. We had some time left before driving back home to Vegas. So we went on the trusty Yelp, and found this place. So we're like why not use our time up here. There is no entrance fee to come in which is a plus, AND they allow dogs. Which was amazing, because we brought our two pups with us on this road trip. They provide everything you need for fishing. From the rods, to the hook, to the bucket to put your fish in, and bait. They also have bbq grill, chairs, and table. So you could enjoy your catch there. There are two ponds to go fishing in. There was a crowd on the pond to the right side of the place, and they were catching a bunch of trout. One after another, so you will not leave this place empty handed. We ended up going to the pond to the left to stay away from the crowd, and the first 5 mins of fishing. My husband caught the first fish. These fishes are smart. We were hoping to catch some big ones, but they were smart not to get lured in LOL! We caught some decent size ones, so we were happy. We left with four trouts to bring home. They charge you per pound. Which isn't bad at all. With four decent size trouts, getting them cleaned, and the bag of ice to put them in. We paid less than $40. They also clean the fish for you for a super super cheap price. Which I thought was convenient. They also bag it for you, so we didn't have to grab any ice and a cooler for our drive home. We drove 4 1/2 hrs, and no leaking from the bag. So he definitely packed it really well for us. We definitely will be coming back here when we visit again. Thanks for the amazing experience.

very deceiving.

Drove 2.5 hours here just to find out they're closed due to low stock. Definitely would've been nice if they had updated their hours or some sort. Very disappointing.

It's circus fishing. The bait doesn't really work you have to trick the fish on just biting your line. Customer service was awful

Are they open? Tried calling a few times today but no one answered?

We just went 2 weekends ago (6/20/2020) and they were open. Many reviews say they don't answer the phone. There is a good chance they are still open

Are they open during covid?

Yep- just go. They're probably busy cleaning fish and such.

If you've spent time around Sedona, you know how quickly things can feel crowded and overrun. This place is the opposite. It feels more intentional, more preserved. You're still surrounded by those iconic red rock formations, but here they're framed by open meadows, clusters of trees, and the steady presence of Oak Creek winding through the park. We set out as a group, a mix of adults and kids, and found trails that worked for everyone. That's the beauty of this place. You don't have to be chasing a summit to enjoy it. The trails are well-marked, manageable, and still interesting enough to keep you engaged. You're moving through changing terrain the whole time. One minute you're walking through sunlit grass, the next you're tucked into shade near the water, then you turn a corner and the red rock rises up again like it's been waiting for you. The creek pulls you in. There's something about moving water in the desert that makes you slow down without realizing it. We stopped more than once just to sit for a minute, let the kids explore a bit, listen to the sound of it moving over rock. No rush, no pressure to keep pushing forward. Wildlife shows up if you're paying attention. Birds moving through the trees, the occasional lizard darting across the trail, subtle signs that this isn't just a scenic backdrop, it's a living system doing its thing. What stood out most was the pace. This isn't a place that demands anything from you. It lets you take it in at your own speed. Some of us pushed a little farther down the trail, others hung back and soaked it in. Nobody felt like they were missing out. It's also one of those rare parks that feels curated without feeling artificial. You can tell it's cared for. Trails are maintained, signage is clear, and there's a quiet respect for the environment that seems to carry over to the people visiting. By the time we looped back, nobody was checking the time. That's usually a sign you picked the right place. If Sedona at its busiest feels like a spectacle, this feels like a conversation. Same landscape, different tone. And sometimes that's exactly what you want.
