Please disregard negative reviews from five or more years ago. They don't deserve them. The girls who work here are knowledgeable, friendly, and hard-working. They gave us free run of the greenhouses, and you will find a wonderful and amazing assortment of succulents and cacti here. Far more than at a competitor in Fallbrook . . . but at $30 for a full flat of 64 pots, we saved $34 compared to the other place where we bought ten pots for $10. The entrance road to the nursery is a one-lane dirt road adjacent to a concrete driveway, and it's easy to miss, but you don't want to overlook this place if you're checking out the other succulent nurseries in the area. I found that they stock some pretty uncommon succulents and "indoor" plants, which I appreciate, because I love the rare and variegated varieties! She also mentioned that if I wanted anything that she didn't have, she could have it within a week. With orders, you can pick up, or she will deliver. Although it's preferred that you make an appointment to shop, you are still able to shop without an appointment if they are in the store. The day I shopped, I did not have an appointment. Pre-orders, special orders, and appointments can be made through the Instagram page, because their website is not yet active.

Our plants were not as ordered and arrived strapped to a flat bed truck after we were assured they would be delivered in a box truck to protect the plants. It was not what we had ordered and the plants were damaged. We have been awaiting a 375.00 refund, which we have not received to date. There is no way I would recommend Plants of Joy.

First they ask you where your local store is based on zip code. I put that in, got my local store. But then I was been asked for a password for an account I don't have. Can't register for an account online either; it keeps telling me nope, I'm registered, but there's no way to recover my password or get a new one. It just goes in an endless loop of "NO". Not a user-friendly site. Today, Sat. Feb. 13, I tried to put in an order via San Carlos Hardware, but they told me they can't do that and I should call Moosa, so I tried to call. I got a message saying they were closed - for the CHRISTMAS holidays! Uh, I know COVID has blurred a lot of stuff, but I still know what month it is. The selection is limited to some cacti and mostly succulents. But they'll have the ones you're looking for and some exotic ones as well. I've never been disappointed and I've always found something new to plant from here. - This is the place to go for succulent arrangements or if you're starting a small succulant garden. I have puchased many plants from Oasis that are thriving in my yard. - The owner's daughters (presuming) are very helpful and seem to be running the retail shop these days.. Some other nurseries don't have anyone to help with questions. - They always have clearance plants up front. Usually they're only tiny succulents but you can't beat .75 to 1.50 each. - Check days and hours of operation before coming. - They do have a stack of plastic tiny plant carriers if you plan on buying a bunch of tiny succulents.

The variety of plant options starting from seed, to transplant ready, to productive trees is astonishing. The staff knows the ins and outs of all the different types of plants they carry and how to care for them, as well as very nice and easy to work with! We were given excellent recommendations and took home a heritage raspberry plant and highland blueberry plant. Both have been great and productive for my home and I'll be hopefully coming back again soon to pick up more!
