I am from Texas in town visiting friends and stopped by to update my work wardrobe. We were greeted at the door by a warm and welcoming face, Rachel. Even though we assured her we were just looking around, she didn't hesitate to help point us to the correct jeans we were looking for. Rachel was present and kind throughout the entire experience. It's not often a retail worker is this kind and helpful. Within just five minutes Rachel had roped in Madelyn and Kenzie. The three girls helped me pick out an entire new closet. They were patient and offered great conversation throughout the experience. If I could have these three every time I went shopping, I'd be the most fashionable and happy person on Earth! Keep it up ladies, kindness and hard work go a long way and what you're doing doesn't go unnoticed!

I searched retailers and couldn't find any in stock online or in-store except at REI which is located in Mid City. I don't know if people really like the product or maybe the manufacturer doesn't produce enough for inventory to be on shelves. We committed to helping a friend maintain their pool and I knew I had to buy mosquito repellent. We went to REI which is a camping type of store. I do not camp do the only thing I was interested in was the Ben's. Apparently this store has a membership program that I was not interested in hearing about as I do not camp. I found Ben's by the front entrance. So lucky! The store has a variety of gear at prices higher than other nationally known stores. I went to pay and was asked if I was a card holder and I said I am not and I am not interested in being one. I paid for my Ben's and snd the sales clerk handed me my purchases back. I asked for a printed receipt and a bag. I didn't want my receipt emailed. The lady told me they were going green or are green, I can't remember. I asked her if I am to walk out of the store holding the products and she said yes. I felt eyes on me as we left. I was glad they had the product. Many mosquitoes tried to land on us while we are maintaining the pool but they left. Ben's works very well.

When I asked another employee for help, she barely stopped walking, pointed back to the same girl, and dismissed me without even listening to what I needed. As someone who has worked in sales for years, I was honestly shocked at how quickly and rudely I was brushed off. Really disappointing experience. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Of course, it's in a dying mall (sadly, this was "the" mall when I was in high school) so I wonder how long many of those stores will remain open for business. I recommend that any moms-to-be check out Motherhood. They're owned by the same peeps from Pea In the Pod and their prices are slightly cheaper than Pea, although overall more expensive than what you'll find at Target. There's always plenty of stuff on sale and the sales staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. You'll likely even score some free stuff depending when you visit - I just got a few free pacis on my last trip. Why not five stars? Like I said, some of the prices seem a bit steep to me and the shop has an overall feel of disorganization, although I'm not slamming the product in any way because overall I'm super happy with the clothes I've purchased here.
