Stopped in for the first time, since I live in southwest Miami and not nearby. Torrid online pieces…read morekept showing up on my feed And the dresses, etc looked cute. I like that they have extended sizes since I'm tall and curvy, I don't like belly showing for work clothes or things that are too tight. Anything a little tight already looks a bit promiscuous. I'm sure the curvy girls feel me out there. Anyways back to Torrid. I entered the store and it was not what I expected at all. Clothes seemed dated and not good quality. And when I'd pick up a blouse that I could possibly wear, the price tag was easily $49.99. What?!?!? This isn't Banana Republic. I can get something there for that price of a much better quality, just as an example. What happened to all the cute merch online that was being advertised? None of those dresses. And the sad clearance section of one or two racks was still overpriced. A clearance cotton shirt $28.99. I know this is I suppose a "specialty store" because of the extended sizes but I think the company is taking advantage of their customers. They shouldn't have to pay those high prices to find a pair of jeans in their size. They mentioned they have coupons and such that get mailed. Not only was the clothes expensive, it was a small selection and not very cute at that. Just a few pieces. I don't think I will be returning.

They always have a good selection of clearance and until today, have never had a problem doing any returns or exchanges. Today, I had the unfortunate encounter with Manager Clarice |214602| I came in with my recyclable bag filled with online returns and she haggled me about shopping online and not shopping in the store. I explained to her I live in Miami, no where near by and it's easier for me to shop online and than coming to the store. It seemed like if she was trying to kinda catch me in a lie asking why don't I just make the drive? She lives in miami and makes the drive... I don't want to drive 60+minutes during the week to come here. Anyways, she takes out my things to start the return and instead of doing one big return, she tells me that everything needs to be returned separately and then whatever I'm purchasing will be in different transactions. This is news to me.. I shop torrid often, and doing my three returns this time around took an HOUR... ONE HOUR.. because she had difficulties listening to what I was telling her about when I purchased things, showing her the receipt, her jumping to answers without listening to my concerns . All she wanted was to tell me no, and say it's not policy and she can bring out the handbook, it's in the back room. Listen, I've worked retail and I know how policies work but if a customer who shops there often is used to a certain way of things being done instead of just saying "I'm just following policy" "I'm not gonna get fired over you because I'm not gonna break the rules" over and over and over and over and over and over (I say this many times because that's all this lady said!) then maybe you should see as a manager that the ones who are at fault are the employees for doing things the wrong way, the company, and not the damn customer. Keep me happy. Say I'll do this for you this time but moving forward this is how things will be done. I'm not a damn torrid employee who memorizes policies, I'm a customer who shops there frequently. I hate when new management comes in and ruins the flow of a store. Won't be shopping at this location again.

I wondered around the plaza and stumble into this place. I live for a thrift store. Anywhere that I can find a unique piece, I'm in love. But I saw the name and had to do a peek inside. I knew so many people that lived for the thrift/consignment shops in college - but a few have ... gotten fluffy. This was a pretty big deal to see a place catering to size 14 and bigger. I walked in and both of the owners were hard at work. One was looking over inventory and making account of who to call back. Another was calling patrons that signed up on some call list to be notified about sales. That pretty much told me the age of most clientele. I love the written word over everything. But small business charm, they get to know their patrons more closely. Several repeat customers. The inventory was okay. Just ok. Best areas seemed to be the formal dresses. I have nothing planned that needs a dress but I couldn't help myself from pulling out several things that caught my eye. The organization was great. Everything clearly laid out and priced. Prices seemed high for a few items. All but one item I reached for were $75+ but I wasn't paying attention to name brand tags - so maybe it's justified? Not bad.

I found that the owners are personable and helpful, the stock is of good quality and well organized. It will save you LOTS of time and money - not having to go through an ordinary thrift store trying to find sizes that will fit! And now - of course - since we have ALL been gaining weight - you might just need a few things a size or two bigger? (Just a few, right? Because we are going to get them back off, right?) - Give these ladies a chance!

I love the strip where this boutique is located and it is by far my favorite from all of them…read morethere. The decor, smell and cleanliness is spectacular. I love the inventory and variation in style. Their prices are great as well. If you're looking for s classy modern boutique this one is perfect.
