not very good quality & very frugal applying the products. the mani/pedi was ok but they are not friendly (Jenny & Emma) & not very courteous - just talking to each other in their language. the worst part was the deceitfulness. prices are posted yet when you go to pay they add extras for things you were not aware of... they write their numbers in a little peace if paper & point to it instead of $60 I was charged $90. I have been coming here for over 5 years. They changed owners 3 times . The now new owners were good but the last 6 months I have had nothing but problems with my power dip manicure. 1 week and the polish chips and they take 2 hours for a manicure. I am incredibly surprised this is one of the only nail salons in the dobbs ferry area with 5 star reviews..I moved to Irvington a few months ago and have yet to find a new 'go-to' salon. I stumbled upon this yelp page and made an appointment for a gel pedi and SNS. For starters, the place is pretty unkempt , but I was willing to look past it. The gel pedi was super subpar- the polish looks good but barely any skin/foot care- I also didn't like how she did the gel polish first and then soaked my feet- usually it's the other way around. My SNS is terrible, all uneven and in my photo you can see a good portion of my nail is left unpolished. Super sloppy. I was really looking forward to this appointment but I received such sloppy work. The whole experience was super rushed. I absolutely will not be coming back, don't let these good reviews fool you like it did me! read more

I decided to try this place out on a whim. I always pass it in the morning when I grab my Dunkin' coffee so I figured I'd finally make an appointment. I went for the SNS dip powder manicure. The service itself done by Luna was impeccable. I've never had cleaner, beater looking cuticles and expertly applies color anywhere. Very fair priced services; the usual price for SNS powder dip is typically $40-$50 in most city or Westchester salons but here it was a modest $35 with the soak off included. The salon itself is rather small and not the most luxurious (minus one star for that and limited polish color selection) but I'd rather have an amazing and beautiful manicure than sit in a nice salon with just mediocre service. They offer loyalty punch cards which I will definitely be using as I will be returning for Luna. read more

What a cute little salon! Stumbled across this place while waiting for my car at Ardsley Motors (which I also highly recommend). The owner, Sandy, is super friendly. I called first, and they said come on in, but it was only 10:30. Before my gel pedi was done, a swarm of local ladies came in and all seemed to know each other although they didn't come in together, so clearly it's a hidden gem. The only reason for four stars is that they didn't have as many colors as my usual place in Riverdale. Other than that I strongly suggest u check it out. Prices are very reasonable -- $35 for gel pedi. But call ahead if u don't want to sit at Dunkin Donuts waiting. read more

I must say this is the worst salon in the Dobbs ferry area!! Very rude workers, the whole thing was rushed and they didn't listen to a word I said. They clipped all my reals nails off even though I said to leave the Length alone. Every nail was a different shape and the paint job was horrible!!! I went back the next day to get them re done and they actually had the Audacity to try and re charge me. And the lady that re did my nails was rude and kept slapping me in the hand and laughing. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! Take my advice and don't waste your time! (Oh and the re do job sucked as well, I got gel acrylic and the polish is peeling off already I got them done 3 days ago!) read more

It my second time going to Rainbow Nails and I love the attention and curtesy of the ladies that work here. I've only gotten Dip Powder done at this salon as well as a pedicure. I didn't feel like the pedicure was very thorough but they are very nice and try to accommodate all of their guests. It's better to make an appointment before you go but they do accept walk-ins. The Dip Powder is $35 which I believe is a great price. I had my nails done for 3 weeks without any chips or breaks!! Ask for Luna, she is great. read more

I called to ask how much a mani and pedi was. The lady said today is a special $26, I asked can I make an appointment for 12. She said ok and I asked do you want my name, she replied no just come today Tuesday is slow. I arrived at 11:55 on my lunch break and said I have an appointment for 12. She looked at me dumbfounded and replied no you must have the wrong place. I showed her the number I called and what I was told. She then says oh yeah but no 20 minutes you wait. After Sandy left, the place is an absolute mess which is disappointing after being a customer for years. Although they take appointments, they do not honor them - or follow any schedule for that matter. There has been numerous occasions where I have had an appointment and was told I would have to wait 30 minutes to be seen. Last time, even going as far as taking a customer with no appointment that arrived after me, before me! When asked why, all employees remained silent. On top of that, only one of the nail techs is trained to do tips/acrylics. And because she is always rushing they are never even, and fall off very quickly.
