The tractor ride was fun, they have apple chunking, llamas, chickens, corn maze, lots of games, etc. I was disappointed with the bathroom situation and the food options. They only have port-a-jons which is extremely challenging with small kids and a lot of their food was pre-packaged, which they just warm up. I was going to order a burger originally but they said it wasn't fresh. So I got a hot dog instead which they grill themselves. It was super basic so don't get your hopes up. Anyways, I guess I got spoiled with high expectations after visiting Alpha and Omega Cron Maze which has some legit food! Honestly I'd go back there just to eat. All in all this is a fun place to visit if you're in the area and want to participate in the typical fall festival activities.

You walk by some buildings that resemble old school simple shacks and then walk into an open (plenty of windows) type building which is where your family start the farm adventure. We met Riley who gave us the farm overview & had us sign Waivers. *** Waivers are upfront & smart*** You & your children are entering a working farm area with different types of animals (never predictable), equipment, woods, several playgrounds etc.. Wear play/work clothes and be ready to get farm messy. You walk through the building into a little slice of heaven for kids & adults whoever dreamed of having a farm. You have goats, chickens, Quail, bunnies and two awesome farm dogs - well one farm dog & one in training- LOL. We ended up exploring for hours, looking at the animals, picking fresh vegetables from the garden (highly encouraged) by Ivy (Owner), walking in the woods. Best of all following our little one from the sandbox to the swing-sets, to the playground in the woods. Speaking with the Farm Ladies, learned some of the back story and the journey to fulfill the dream. What a cool vision & so much hard work . The entrance building was relocated from a nearby town, all the buildings, equipment is mostly refurbished. Just a special place they wish to share with all. As we left, my wife & Daughter purchased some farm fresh items and our Grandaughter left kicking & screaming - LOL. She wanted to stay.

this animal park is absolutely a terrible for animals. the spider monkey is like a tall corn cage…read more little to no enrichment for these primates. they could easily plant a tree or bushes in the enclosure giving them enrichment similar to their native environment. the tortoise was worse. it is about 3-4ft in length. the enclosure is so small the tortoise can not move more than a foot. there is not adequate sun protection in its enclosure.there is no enrichment items available.

Darby Safari went so above and beyond our expectations. We love zoos, but this was so much more…read morethan just staring at a bunch of animals behind bars - instead we had multiple opportunities to get up close, touch and feed the animals. In addition, some free range friends walked along with us humans on the tour and literally wanted to eat out of our hands. Our guides, Maddie and Shane, were fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable about the animals, and excellent at making sure everyone in the fairly sizable tour group had an opportunity to see or feed each animal they introduced. We bought the "Kit and Kaboodle" package which was so incredibly worth it! Some zoos allow you a "personal encounter" with one species, or by holding up an animal and letting you pet it,... but in the encounter room, Maddie and Shane spent an hour or more introducing us to at least 10 animals, all different species, in very interactive ways. We held armadillos, hand wrestled a mongoose, let a tiny monkey jump from shoulder to shoulder between us eating Fruit Loops, fed and high-fived otters, and so much more. I truly can't say enough about how happy we are that we included Darby Safari in our first ever trip to Charlotte!

The center is constantly improving and evolving the facility by maintaining current exhibits and adding new ones. They also host traveling exhibits such as BODIES. Right now, they are working on adding a new rainforest biosphere (Current ETA September 2027). There is also a butterfly room filled to the brim with butterflies, it is quite a site to see! The interior features children play areas, weather ed, reptiles and more. Not to forget about the AQUARIUM (my favorite part), which gives visitors the opportunity to touch rays and sharks, see the penguins, awe at massive tank with a wide variety of fish, and don't forget the penguins and jellyfish! The exterior is like a mini zoo, it could easily take you an hour+ to visit the flamingos, monkeys, tigers, Pygmy hippos, wolves, red panda, petting zoo and more. They also have concessions inside and outside if you need a beverage or some snacks. Don't forget to end the day with a ride on the carousel! During the December/January holiday time, they also have a lighted exhibit outdoors that you can walk through with lighted sculptures, shows, and hot cocoa. The Greensboro Science Center is a great value experience for something to do in Greensboro, I can't recommend it enough.

The zoo had many cool animals, the aquarium was super fun, and I absolutely wished we had time to do the rope/adventure course. I really enjoyed my time here. A few things to note was that the restrooms were very dirty, some of the exhibits and other areas of the science center were not maintained.
