My friend ordered a burger and a green drink that included spirulina, and I had the barbecue and an orange drink that had a lot of ginger in it. Her burger was an interesting combination of squares of dehydrated veggies serving as the "bun," stuffed and surrounded with freshly grated and shredded veggies, accompanied by a white sauce or dressing. Her approach was tenuous, but after the first bite she scarfed it down, exclaiming at the variety of tastes and the delicious sauce that held it all together. I chose the barbecue, a very full plate (recyclable carry-out, although we ate in) layered with brown rice, black beans, shredded beets, cabbage, carrots, and kale. It was all topped with ribbons of spicy barbecue sauce that enhanced the flavor of the entire dish when stirred in. Wonderful, tasty, vegan food like we've never had before. Dessert for her was a very chocolate pudding with just enough sweetness to complement rather than over power its creamy chocolate flavor, and mine was a slice of sweet potato pie on a nutty pressed crust that had subtle sweetness and seasoning. The texture was creamy yet firm, and so delicious. We found them by googling "gluten-free near us" after a trip out to a bead show and a favorite yarn store that involved a lot of walking around to shop, and a consequent ravenous hunger. My friend finished her meal completely, and I saved half of my main dish for dinner, but ate all of that scrumptious pie. We are DEFINITELY going back! Nice people, amazing food, and pretty surroundings in this six-table shop. There were several folks getting take-out while we ate, and one other table occupied when we got there around 3:00 PM. Highly recommend!

The first time I had them was the airport, I gave them 4 stars, it was overpriced there, but I expect that at the airport. It hit the spot for me that day. Here, the same smoothie feels overpriced in a mall atmosphere. Here it feels like a three star experience because of that. Maybe that's just me. If I'm going up to a stand in a mall, even if I'm buying a large smoothie, I feel like over 7 bucks is a bit much. Plus, I'm learning a bit about healthier eating (or trying to) lately. And although the Five Fruit Frenzy I had does have a lot of fruit, their insistence on adding fruit juice to it kicks the sugar content up. It negates things a bit. But in the end, that's still probably better for you than Haagen Dazs. But it tastes good. I'll have another one if I'm ever in the area.

There was no flavor. The Mango-A-GoGo had NO flavor whatsoever. I couldn't even drink it. I threw in the trash. Being a frequent flyer so to speak at Jamba Juice, I was very disappointed in this. I've frequented Jamba Juice locations throughout the United States and I must say this location ranks as the number 1 worst Jamba Juice that I've encountered. Will I be back? Definitely not to this location. Would I refer anyone to this location? Definitely not. After this experience, it'll be a while before I go to ANY Jamba Juice location. Furthermore, the employees don't greet or thank you. A robot would be friendlier. This is a poor experience for anyone whether a frequent customer or a first time customer.

I love their bowls, while the price is a few dollars more than your average fast-casual restaurant, you'll get much fresher REAL food that you won't get at your from an $8 sandwich shop. I had been craving Playa Bowls ever since I got back from my beach trip (wishing I was still there...sigh). I tried to visit the Newark, DE location the night before - after a 25 minute drive I pulled up to a sign on the door saying 'we are closed for maintenance'! The next morning I bumbled down to Wayne, PA for my first visit to this Playa Bowls location. They were much faster and friendlier than my usual stop down the shore, even during my 11 am visit on a Saturday... My Chila Tella bowl with vanilla vegan protein was as perfect as I could have expected. As was my girlfriend's strawberry banana smoothie which soon became 30% mine. My only frustration was that the staff was unsure how to use their own app - I showed them the QR code of my Playa Bowls rewards card, as the app says to, and the employee had no clue what to do with it. Nor did any of the other two ladies working. They took my phone number instead, and my points never showed up. Again, it's certainly not the end of the world but this is just something I would've expect them to be trained on. All in all, I have always had fairly good experiences at Playa Bowls. They're one of my favorite places to eat out, especially when I need that beach-away-from-beach vibe. Hope to go back before the end of the summer... more like the end of this week.

I try to be very careful with reviews & not penalize a small business for my personal tastes. But I…read morealso rely on Yelp to give me honest reviews & I must do the same. My 1st time here, I'm glad I had a gift certificate, but still feel it was wasted. I have another location near my home, I will try that one in the future. I ordered the Buddha Bowl -a WARM bowl with no tomatoes due to a medical dietary restriction, but not an allergy (thankfully!) I posted my receipt to indicate I ordered "no tomatoes" yet you see from the picture I have a pile of tomatoes on my order. I took it back to my office and scooped them out. A small annoyance, but fine, this did not affect my star rating. Let's get to the actual bowl. I ordered a warm bowl for many specific reasons. The young lady gave me my bowl. It was wonderfully overstuffed to the point that you couldn't even get the lid on it. I'm thinking, "bonanza!" She offered me another lid to try, I wasn't able to carry it out because you could not snap the lid on. I said no worries, I will sit & take a few bites to eat it down so I can get the lid on. I took one bite of the chicken and it was ice cold, nearly frozen. Maybe my teeth are extra sensitive, but this was the coldest bite of chicken ever. Beyond refrigerator cold. I'm hammering home how cold this chicken was because I turned my neck to look up to make sure I ordered a WARM bowl! That was an instant turn off, I took the dressing out and I was able to get the lid to fit at that point. While I'm driving back to work, I call my wife to ask her if she would like to take this bowl and she laughed at me and said no thank you. (we work at the same place.) When I think I'm getting a warm bowl, for me that means warm protein. Even if I have a salad, I want my protein to be warm. I guess that's my very personal preference , but it was disappointing. It's not meeting the expectation. But that's STILL not even why I'm giving it three stars, lol. The reason why I'm giving it three stars?? The bowl was not good! I would never order this again or anything like it. The bowl is this very deep and heavy serving of riced cauliflower. Way too much cauliflower for the small amount of toppings. It's basically cauliflower and greens. The cauliflower was warm. But also 100% bland, as in not seasoned in ANY way. It's astonishing. As if shows like Chopped and TOP Chef don't exist where chefs are criticized about their lack of salt and lack of seasoning. This is why I'm giving it three stars. I cannot in good conscience overlook that this tastes like you're in the hospital and you're on a restricted diet. I don't understand who eats this food. Chickpeas out the container, avocado sliced out of its skin, tomatoes out the container, cucumbers out the crate, and cauliflower out its package. Then you assembled it and gave it to me. What am I paying for? What are you selling? Your ability to assemble? No salt or pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, seasonings, herbs, spices- you did not do anything to any ingredient! I had to get dressing from a colleague because even the balsamic vinaigrette that comes with was bland. I'm going on and on because I'm frustrated with establishments taking money for doing the absolute minimum. You're a restaurant, you need to actually do something to the food, or don't offer it. Stick to the fruit bowls! And I will try that with the remainder of my gift card balance. Now I have to figure out how to choke down this terrible bowl that was supposed to serve as my lunch and dinner. I'm just really aggravated. If you made it this far, thank you for following my rant to the end. I was just venting at some point but oh well, here we are.
