Afternoon appointments seem to go faster than mid-morning. The office has an in-house MRI machine, which I used last week. The appointment was easy and the attendant made me feel comfortable the entire time. Today, I stopped in for my MRI results and luckily I don't have a rotator cuff tear!! That was a concern due to my symptoms. I did have a minor labrum tear, which is relatively common due to my age. It's deep inside the shoulder, and not affiliated with the pain I was having on my outside shoulder and upper arm. To help alleviate my discomfort, they suggested a cortisone shot. I could come back for another every few months, as needed. Andrew W. Is a PA on the team and he's excellent at giving shots! He and the nurse prepped the materials, used cooling to numb the area, insert the shot into my rotator cuff muscle on my back, and then apply a laser for healing before taping on a bandage. It was very efficient and fast, plus relatively painless!! I was so impressed! If you need a cortisone shot, I would definitely ask for Andrew W., if possible!

In my 30 minute session, Chris worked on all of my problem areas and left me feeling better than some 60 or 90 minute massages I've had elsewhere. Chris was punctual, friendly, but not overly chatty. He was able to discern that I'd want a quieter session and acquiesced easily. They put me on massive amounts of narcotics and left the meds in the pump for 6 more months. I ended up in ICU from the pump overdosing me. They STILL left the meds in the pump. Then Dr Kim dropped me abruptly (not titrating me off of the massive amount of drugs). I almost died from the withdrawal, so in my opinion I would NOT GO TO THEM for anything.
