Don't sleep on Rainbow's clothing store. You can find you an last minute outfit. They have some cute clothes. The prices are not bad at all. It's very reasonable and sometimes you can get 2 outfits for the price of 1. Now, depending on where you go, the clothes changes for example downtown, you get nice clothing because of the area. Forget Forever 21 - Rainbow is the place to hunt (and I do mean hunt) for cute cheap pieces to add to your wardrobe. Tredy to the MAX, don't expect anything to last more than a season, but enjoy the 2 floors packed full of bright colors, cheap basics, fun shoes (that might tear your shit up, but you never know) and the big accessory section. it's the perfect place to spend fifteen bucks getting something (or three things)that will spice up your ensemble. 125 is the cheap shopping mecca you haven't explored yet. Granted. Rainbow is your typical fast fashion neighborhood exploit where you get your cheap club outfit a couple of hours before you party...but it's like flushing money down the toilet. I brought home a blouse tried it on and RIIIIIIPPPPP ...a giant hole. Its not exactly what you want to happen before a night out on the town. One wash and the clothes are pretty much destroyed. In my book that makes shopping here totally not worth it. Plus. They sell shoes that are a recipe for a broken ankle. Corns, Bunions, HammerToes and all other kinds of foot salad need not apply. P.S. Don't buy the costume jewelry; unless you want to chafe for a week. read more

This place seems like a cheaper (in both meanings of the word) version of Forever21. My friends did manage to find a few cute things after searching the entire store. If I have to send a search party through all the racks just to find one semi-cute top, chances are the store's just not for me. read more

Cheaper version of Forever 21 is right! Decent styles for CHEAP. This Rainbow is not bad either. Its actually pretty big with a wide selection. My favorite part of Rainbow Harlem is the shoe section. I have to thank this location for my beautiful 21st birthday heels! They were purchased here and I adored them! I wore them out!! Low priced tops, dresses, bags, jewelry..etc! I love rainbow, I'm 21 and lots of pieces from my wardrobe are from there, but I despise this one. I'm a Brooklyn girl, never really went to Harlem growing up. Not sure if it's bc I'm a light skin Latina, or what, but the security man when I walked in grabbed me by my backpack one time telling me to take it off. When I told him no, it's like a purse to me (I'm kinda a guy in a way no purses here lol) and it had my wallet, he told me I had to take my wallet out and walk around the store with it in my hand and leave my bag. I will never go back to this store again! I wanted to purchase a sweater but it was missing a price tag and also had a little snag. I really wanted the item so I asked the manager to find out the price. It took him 15 minutes to respond. He finally went online to see if he could locate the price of the item. The shoes are usually a eye catcher! They close late at 9pm just in case you have to get a quick outfit. You can find cool different pieces in there from time to time. It's packed with clothes from wall to wall you can barely move, if you have the patience you will come out with something. read more

I like rainbow but the location is scary, limited shoe selection, no dressing room, and they almost never have my size. I had to go to the rainbow on 5th ave for a size small. And that store was much bigger. read more

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE EVER. They provide the worst customer service. They have security literally stand and watch customers and harrass customers. They do NOT have a fitting room for customers to try on clothing. They harrass you if you are standing in their ONE MIRROR in the top levrl of the store which is approximately 1,000 square feet if not larger. Only ONE MIRROR as large as that space is. There were 4 customers standing in front of the mirror waiting for their turn to STAND BESIDE a customer to LOOK AT THE CLOTHING IN FRONT OF THEM. Security came over to tell the ladies that we could NOT try on clothing...and that the policy is you have 7 days to return clothing if you get it HOME and it does NOT fit. REALLLLLY....so let me get this straight. Your store does NOT provide fitting rooms, you tell your customer..."hey GIVE US YOUR MONEY...we treat you like dirt...you GO HOME and try on your clothes...and how about if YOU get busy or travel for business and the 7 days expires...you are screwed!! GoodBye WORTHLESS CUSTOMER...WE JUST WANT YOUR MONEY...NOW GET OUT OF OUR STORE". That's the mentality of the ignorance in this store. Runnnnn. It's a OK place. It's bigger than the one on 34st with more selections. The clothes are at a decent price. Just remember you get what you pay for....I think the most money a piece clothing would be is $30 . The shoes aren't all that great for constant wear. There are no dressing rooms plus everything is kind of on top of each other. But the staff is friendly & helpful. Plus I think its a good place for plus size women. read more
