Kudos, Rain Rock Casino, you really are three floors of fabulous. The pool area is especially nice, with several individual-sized hot tubs scattered around the pool. They can fit just you or a small group, which was actually really cool and not something I've seen before. As for the casino, I did a walk-through only. It's quaint and easy to navigate. The first section you come to is non-smoking, while the back area allows smoking and also includes a bar and restaurant. They also have a banquet hall that seats about 300, and tonight there was a country artist tribute performance. I stayed overnight at Rain Rock Hotel and ate breakfast at the main restaurant. I didn't gamble, so this review will have little to say about the casino. I arrived late, perhaps 11pm, in the middle of a multi-state road trip. I was driving a 15 foot U-Haul truck and parked near the casino. The front desk had a single attendant who quickly and kindly got me sorted out. Within 5 minutes I had my key and was walking thru the hallway to my room. The carpets were short piled but thickly padded and felt good to my feet. It was very quiet. Walking into my room, a double queen, my first thought was, Wow, the beds are tall! The beds were almost up to my hips. I had to issue getting into it but it was a surprise. The room was large, with a padded bench by the door, the bathroom on one side and fridge, coffee machine, and safe on the other. The shower could be separated from the toilet and sink by a door, making it useful for mixed groups of friends sharing room. The shower was HIGH, like 6.5 feet or more. It had a detachable shower head and I had to stand on my toes to reach it (I am 5' 6"). There was another shower holder lower down, but this was unusually low. I had to duck to point it at my hair. I am guessing it was best for children or perhaps folks who are seated in the shower. The beds were perhaps the least impressive. The sheets were perhaps a little scratchy (or I am spoiled by my bamboo sheets!) and the blankets were both light and stiff, making me feel almost like I was sleeping under cardboard. There were two chairs, a large tv, and a table with plugs between the beds, great for changing devices or for CPAPs. The windows had blackout curtains, which I used, and I had a restful night. The next day I went looking for breakfast. I spotted the pool and it looked very inviting. I followed the directions given at the front counter to the restaurant. I walked thru the non-smoking casino, which was filled with large, modern machines. Then, though Dick's glass doors through the smoking section of the casino, which was otherwise the same, then to the restaurant. I had a good breakfast for reasonable price, returned to my room, and checked out. I am not much of a gambler, but I was in Vegas recently and I liked this casino more. Vegas is VERY noisy and flashy. This casino is quieter, and is emphasizes its relationship to the land and the tribe who built it. I would like to return for a long weekend, try the pool, sample more foods and try the cocktails. There are hiking trails, water sports, and other activities for those looking for a resort getaway that intrigue me. read more

Good little casino that has it all - I do prefer Rolling Hills much more - just better vibes inside. This little casino does have everything you could want - slots, table games, food - even free self serve beverages. If you live in the area no good reason to drive more. I was driving through and I think this was near the Oregon border or Redding area if I remember right. There are so many casinos along the main highway if your driving from the bay area to Seattle - I was really surprised by the overwhelming amount. Since there are so many casinos there are so many choices - and I'd say Rolling Hills was a bit larger and more options. Rolling Hills is known for their slot machine selection - and it was impressive. Probably the best part of this particular casino was the non smoking room. It was very new and and zero odors of any type. Sometimes I find it a problem when going to casinos - that lingering odor it leaves in your jacket - people can tell when you've come from there. If you go to this non smoking casino nobody has to know. There is construction going on and I think it will get bigger and better soon. Probably a hotel and lots more. After staying in Redding, Ca for a day, we decided to stop at Casino prior to hitting the Oregon border. Rain Rock casino had plenty of billboards along the way and thankfully not far off the freeway. Only wanted to stop for the $5 burgers. Arrived around 10am, decided to play for a bit before heading to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not open till noon. But I have to say, I enjoyed how clean the casino was and how I walked away happy with an extra hundy in hand. I noticed some construction, I think they will be building a convention center? I had no idea who this guy was and he didn't identify himself. Asked him what the heck was his problem and he asked if my name was Lisa. I told him no. He then called someone and came back and told me to leave because I wouldn't give some strange man my ID. It's extremely clean, great selection of games, never too crowded to enjoy yourself, highly attentive and helpful staff and best of all you can play for hours without losing the bank! Their slots are fair in comparison to 7 Feathers and/or Las Vegas. My son was able to play Blackjack for 3 hours with less than $100 and still walk away ahead for his first time playing!! The food in the restaurant was delicious and the presentation was perfect! This speaks volumes considering one of us in our group is an executive chef. The icing on the cake was the absolutely incredible service we received in the restaurant from our server, Kelsey!!! Having her as our server was like hitting the jackpot to end our visit that day! We haven't visited Rain Rock for a few years, we were not impressed since it was a relatively small casino. When I read some reviews recently about their expansion with non smoking areas and a hotel, we went to check it out. The casino doubled the size with an equally large area of non smoking area that are truly smoke free. We didn't stay at the hotel this time since we are only an hour away from home but we would love to experience that someday especially if there is discounts or points to offset the expense. The gaming floor has a lot of variety slots, we didn't win but we had fun. There's not a lot of promotional freebies going on like free play or food vouchers. This place bleeds you dry quick! I was losing money at a rate of $120/hr. And that was that was light gambling. All thd table games revolve around side bets that dealer takes 90% of time. After gambling and drinking a bit I was left hungry. It was Valentines day so the restaurant was fully booked, which means no other food available in the whole casino. Finding a place open for a bite after 9pm in Yreka can be challenging. They sold slices of pizza with raw dough behind the bar. That was literally all that was available. read more

Attempted to visit this casino and play some slots. Huge sign out front that you need to be fully vax'd or wear a mask. Even now in 2024. They have a very aggressive security guard at the door wanting your vax paperwork, to take your temp, sanitize your hands, etc. This place also would not allow my two pound dog (who was inside a stroller) to enter the property. This is a brand new casino, one of the employees told me that tomorrow was their two month anniversary. It's a relatively small casino, but it's been done nicely. As you would expect everything is new and therefore clean. Thier air filtration system seems to work very well too as the cigarette smoke wasn't too bad. They seemed to have all of the newer machines and a few of the older favorites too. There is a small section of tables games in the middle of the casino. It looks like they are still adding RV parking, and extending thier current parking lot. Definitely worth a quick stop if you're in the area and want to visit a casino. Been going here since the day they opened and have noticed a massive decrease in their payouts, some game use to pay out every 10 or 15 spins now I have play games that don't let you get a bonus round even after 80 spins and then when you do get one it pays out less than $15. Before arrival I called to confirm that I would be able to park in their RV parking in my camper. I SPECIFICALLY clarified that I have a camper and not an RV but they said it was okay and to just come in and register when I get there. Upon arrival they come out to look at my camper and tell me I can't register. The first man I spoke told me that the head of security only lets people stay who are in "big fancy RVs." The first thing you notice when you walk in are people smoking. They smoke by the front door and in the casino. I'm pretty sensitive to cigarette smoke as we're my friends, all in our 60's. It actually took over an hour and 20 minutes to get served The cafe was bright and crowded with only a few tables in the place. The design is not conducive to a pleasant atmosphere. The salad bar lacked flavor and imagination. The soup bar consisted of a watery chili and a scary looking mushroom soup. The wait staff was friendly. The hostess had given us a pager when we first came in. After 20 minutes of waiting she exchanged it for one that worked.. it should have been a clue. I worked in a lot of restaurants. This one has potential but they need more training and hospitality skills. Senior Wednesday is a good marketing idea but be prepared for the long lines of people! read more

A lot of great people work there. They are always looking for ways to make your visit and even better one. The restaurant has a nice variety of food to chose from. My favorite has always been the Fish and Chips. Out on the gaming floor there are a ton of games. I love the Buffalo. They also have texas holdem, black jack at the card tables, with some of the friendliest dealers. You can sit up at the bar and play Keno or poker on their machines.
