The magnitude of this shopping, dining, and entertainment center is beyond compare from what I've heard. We went into a few stores to look around and enjoyed our time here. They basically have something for whatever you're in the mood for. It definitely is a very crowded place. There's a reason why they have soo many parking lots/areas. I'm glad we were able to come at a less busy time, but I'm sure weekend are extremely crazy. I liked the mall enough where I would come back.

After a few aborted attempts over the years, we finally made it to St John Chrysostom for a Sunday…read moreservice and we're so glad we did. We had heard some great things about their former Rector, Rev John Taylor and wanted to hear him preach. Well, we waited too long. Last weekend he was consecrated the Bishop Coadjutor for the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles. Congratulation to him and his family. The new Rector, Rev Christopher Potter gave an inspiring homily. He preached on Matthew's gospel -- on the sower of seeds, on both rocky and fertile soil. It was new and insightful (as well as clever). We liked it very much. We were also very impressed by the sincere and welcoming presence of everyone to two visitors from Scottsdale. It was also nice seeing how everyone greeted each other as friends, in a relaxed and genuine way. It made us miss our time here as being too short. Services at St John's Chrysostom are at 8:00 and 10:00. Btw, the summer choir has six section leaders, who are outstanding -- so you are in for musical treat! So come to hear the gospel preached, stay for some fellowship and marvel at their spirit. Peace!

I have made friends of all ages and feel deeply connected to this church family. As another reviewer mentions, the service is similar to a Catholic worship in ceremony, but Protestant in our beliefs. We read from the Bible every week and we have a fantastic sermon, either from our vicar, Father John Taylor, or our associate vicar, Mother Martha Johns. The sermons are posted on our website, www.stjohnsrsm.org, and they are often filled with many thoughts that I will ponder for weeks to come. My daughter enjoys the Sunday School program and once she hits 6th grade, she will join the youth group. When she was little, she went to the nursery and really had fun playing with the friendly staff. Our church is involved in many other ministries including Habitat for Humanity builds, a monthly Food pantry, a support group for caregivers, multiple Bible studies, etc. If you are looking for a new church family, I would highly recommend St John's, where all are welcome.

5 Stars -- Would Hire Again Without Hesitation…read more After dealing with a frustrating situation with another mover, I reached out to JFK Moving to handle a complicated executive desk move. Tia was my first point of contact and she was fantastic -- patient, understanding, and confident they could handle what others couldn't. Pricing was reasonable and transparent, and she worked with me to make it fair. Suhrob and David showed up early and immediately got to work. They were organized, careful, and clearly knew what they were doing. The desk was heavy and complex, but they disassembled it correctly and moved it safely. What impressed me most was that they took the time to explain how it comes apart for future moves. That's next-level professionalism. They also helped with a few extra heavy items without hesitation. This is how moving should be done. I'll be using them again this summer.

And the reason why there's so many mixed reviews is because it's farmed out to different movers

I went with JFK Moving based on their strong online reviews and expected a professional, reputable…read moreexperience. I'm a military member and have moved roughly 15 times over 20 years, so I have a lot of experience with movers. This was my final move, and I wanted it done right. To be fair, the actual packing and transport of heavy items was handled competently. For roughly the first 90% of the move, everything appeared professional and legitimate. I won't take away from their crews' ability to physically move items. Unfortunately, once an issue arose, the experience deteriorated quickly. A large OLED TV stopped working after the move. There was no visible external damage, which made the situation more nuanced. What followed was a prolonged, circular claims process that felt designed to wear the customer down rather than resolve the issue in good faith. Communications became repetitive and legalistic, with responsibility repeatedly deflected rather than meaningfully addressed. What ultimately concerned me most was speaking directly with the television repair technician JFK Moving used. He told me he was pressured to put in writing that the issue could not have been caused by the move. He declined to do so, explaining that he could not definitively determine causation either way. I did not ask him to make any statement on my behalf, nor did I feel it would be appropriate to do so. That interaction raised serious ethical concerns for me. I also found the company's written responses to rely heavily on templated, AI-style language that felt impersonal and dismissive rather than transparent or solution-oriented. As a customer, it came across as an attempt to grind down a legitimate claim through process rather than engage honestly with the facts. I understand that the moving industry operates on tight margins and that disputes are complex. I was not expecting full replacement value, and I've resolved similar situations amicably with other movers in the past. In those cases, neither side "won," but the outcome felt reasonable and fair. That was not my experience here. I can't say whether JFK Moving is worse than every other mover, but I can say that when a dispute arises, their approach left me disappointed and concerned. Based on my experience, I would not use them again and would not recommend them to others. Write to Tim Jenkins

I am writing this to provide an account of my 15-month experience with Amir Rug Gallery. I advise…read moreany future customers to ensure all terms are put in writing, as my experience involved retracted commitments and retaliatory threats. In November 2024, I entered a consignment agreement for a rug with a net floor value of $5,500. Notably, the gallery does not appear to use formal consignment contracts. Instead, they use a "Service Contract," which appears to be intended for rug cleaning. The pre-printed language at the bottom relates to cleaning risks and storage after a service is completed, rather than consignment terms. In November 2025, a buyer I sourced independently via eBay visited the gallery and offered $4,000. The owner advised me to reject this, calling it a "low-ball" offer. He suggested I wait because the holiday season was their "busy season" and we could likely get more. Crucially, he stated that if it didn't sell by year-end, he would purchase it. He followed this up in writing on Nov 19: "If you make it $3500 I can take it but by December." Relying on his professional advice and this written buyout promise, I declined the $4,000 sale. After the holiday season passed without a sale, I asked the owner to honor the buyout. He then stalled before stating, "I did not make a firm commitment." He then attempted to pivot to a "wholesale" arrangement that would have netted me only $3,200, less than the original offer he told me to reject. I decided to retrieve my rug on Feb 16, 2026. It was a rainy day, and the store's employee offered to load the rug. Instead of placing the rug directly into the trunk, the employee's handling allowed a fold of the rug to come into contact with dirty standing water on my vehicle's bumper. He did not notice until I pointed it out, at which point he grabbed a rag from my trunk, scrubbed the area, and walked away. When I documented this incident for record purposes, the owner's response was an unprofessional phone call threatening to charge me for 1.5 years of storage fees if I "made a case" out of the loading incident. When I pointed out that storage fees weren't in our agreement, he stated that it "doesn't matter what is in the contract" and that he didn't have time for "BS." Even if his cleaning contract terms applied to consignment, they stipulate that storage fees only begin two weeks after an item is "ready." The owner messaged me on Feb 13 saying he wanted to return the rug, and I picked it up on Feb 16, well within his own two-week window. He then claimed it was "unethical" for me to list the rug on eBay while it was in his shop. This is a strange claim, as my online marketing was doing the work I was technically paying him for. In 15 months, the only time the gallery called me about an offer was from the buyer I sourced and sent to his store. Despite me doing the legwork, I was still prepared to let him take his full commission for simply showing the rug. Helping a business close a sale is not unethical; retracting a written buyout promise after costing a customer a sale is. Anyone considering this gallery should be aware that verbal statements may not be honored, and any attempt to hold the business accountable may be met with threats. I encourage future customers to ensure everything is documented in writing.
