They teach and spread the authentic knowledge of Islam, have fun events for the whole family, and it's an amazing place to build a strong foundation for your child's faith while living in America! :) To truly worship God means to understand what MUST befit God and what God is clear of! Imam Al-Ghazzaliyy said what means: The worship is not valid except after knowing the One who is Worshipped (i.e. God/ Our Creator) By the Will of God, it is by learning and applying the knowledge of Ahlus Sunnah that we can protect ourselves from the evil of the devils among the humans and jinn. Protect yourself and loved ones by learning and teaching the knowledge of the religion that every accountable person is obligated to know to ensure their beliefs and acts of worship are valid! The family fun events they host are a blast! From picnics in the park to madih nights, it's a great way for the whole community to come together! May God continue to protect and bless this association and those who dedicate themselves to defending the beautiful religion of Islam!

i love this masjid alhamdulillah…read more this is a great place for people interested in islam / reverts, there's a wide range of activities for youth, and young adults. there is always SOME class you can attend whether it's for reverts or born muslims.

For a while,…read moreI had been wanting to learn more about Islam, but I didn't grow up in an Islamic household or know Arabic. My background is rooted in Catholic traditions and because of this, I was honestly hesitant. I worried about unintentionally offending anyone or not knowing the proper etiquette. One Friday evening, I finally gathered the courage to attend topen class for reverts and those who simply want to learn. I dressed modestly and covered my head out of respect, still unsure of what to expect. Before I even reached the entrance, someone in the parking lot noticed I looked a little lost and kindly asked if I needed help. Almost immediately after, a sister warmly introduced herself. When I told her it was my first time ever stepping into a mosque, she didn't hesitate and she introduced me to other sisters and to Jamaal, who all welcomed me with open arms, patience, and absolutely no judgment. Their eagerness and kindness made me feel at home in a place that was once unfamiliar. The community at IIOC truly embodies hospitality and compassion. The center also offers so many resources, educational classes, and support for those wanting to learn more. I only wish I had started this journey sooner. If you're considering learning about Islam or whether you're thinking of becoming a revert or simply curious I cannot recommend enough that you just take the step and show up. You won't regret it. I certainly haven't. Thank you IIOC!

I have been attending the Yorba Linda masjid for years, and it's honestly disappointing to say that…read morethe level of respect on the women's side has become unacceptable. First, the noise level is a serious issue. The women's section is rarely quiet. People constantly talk during prayer times, and it is often difficult to even hear the imam through the speakers. During Ramadan nights especially, when people leave after 8 rakahs of Taraweeh, groups of women walk out loudly talking while prayer is still happening. It becomes nearly impossible for those remaining to hear or focus on the prayer. This is extremely disrespectful considering we are in Allah's house. What makes this even more frustrating is that when I've visited other masjids recently, the difference in respect and etiquette in the women's sections was immediately noticeable. It honestly made me feel embarrassed about the environment that has become normal here. The condition of the women's area is also very disappointing. The carpet is often dirty, with crumbs, stains, and generally poor upkeep. For a masjid that recently invested in building a café and is known to receive very large donations, it is difficult to understand why the women's section still has temporary rolled-out carpets instead of proper flooring and why the space has not been expanded to accommodate the growing crowd. There are many issues in the women's section that have been present for years and are only getting worse as the masjid becomes more crowded. The community deserves a space that reflects the respect and dignity that a house of worship should have.

We just moved back from Egypt looking for a place to feel happy and accepted. My husband is Muslim and I am Christian but we support each other's religions as profit Muhammad (Peace be upon him) married Christian's and let us know it is our job to be kind and love one another. Islam has always been a beautiful religion to me. I have read the Quran from front to back and even learned Arabic in order to have a better understanding of the religion. The man Sheikh Mustafa and Sheikh Nagm El Deen unfortunately don't know their own religion. They have abused their power of being sheikhs and know nothing of what it is to be men of God. They basically told my husband they would not marry us and do our (katb el katb) because I am a Christian and my husband is a Muslim. Which would have been fine if they would have said it kindly but it was the way it was said was so insulting and concerning. Mind you, in our country we have Al Azhar, the best school a Muslim should attend so we know our teachings and what's right from wrong. Muslims and Christians walk hand and hand, sheikhs, rabbi's, and pastors, walk hand in hand in Egypt. For them to tell my husband and assume I am an atheist because all people who are American are atheists is so disrespectful and disgusting. My husband and I are debating on whether or not we should have these men investigated. It seems they don't work or do anything except live off the deeds of people. If I were someone who were interested in converting or looking for somewhere to practice Islam I would beg you to please not step foot in here. This place is not blessed. It is judgmental and disgraceful. I pray you all find a beautiful place who is aware of their teachings and know how to be kind. I am so sad because although I am Christian, I desperately miss the mosques back in Egypt. We desperately miss our community there of people who are well educated. It is men like this who give Islam a bad name.
