Great food, great fellowship, great drinks! Raging Burrito and taco was a great meal stop while headed to a book release/discussion! There menu spoke everything mexican and authenticity! We street parked for about $4 for 2 hours. Which was perfect. We were seated immediately! They were playing music but not loud. It smelled so good in there. The spoces and herbs were there. Our waitress was extremely helpful. I ordered a mixed margarita with pomegranate and mango FROZEN w/ tajin on the rim. $10.50 For my meal, I ordered Jamaican Jerk Burrito BOWL Famous jerk chicken , light sour cream, & salsa added guacamole and sundried tomatoes $12.95 plus add on cost $4.50 Everything was amazing especially the drink! If I am ever in the area, I will make Raging my choice. Thanks Raging and SYOY!
Large restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit at the bar where the bartender appeared to be new so we're giving the pretty average service a pass. The food came out quickly and portions were huge! The nachos with steak were really tasty and the Pineapple Jerk Burrito was good as well. Not a fancy or high end spot, but an affordable option on the square.
Sat on the patio and the vibes are great! Art in the walls, lights hanging over the tables, and a fountain in the middle. I ordered a 2 taco plate - was teetering between ordering the veggie or brisket and the waiter let me know that they're known for the brisket. The menu does state the brisket is spicy so I was a tad worried, but it was good and surprisingly my second taco (Baja fish) was spicier.
Came back after a few years and the place is still pretty good. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly and attentive. Our food was pretty good as well, we had the Monster Nachos and Fajita burrito. Still a great place to eat in downtown Decatur
A friend suggested we grab a bite here since it's one of his favorite spots. He ordered the nacho platter, which looked great, while I went with a burrito. Unfortunately, I was pretty underwhelmed. It wasn't what I expected from a burrito--more like a soft chimichanga, heavy on vegetables, and it tasted slightly undercooked. If I decide to revisit, I'll definitely try the nachos instead.
I came to Raging Burrito for a happy hour event and had a great experience. They gave us our own dining room and basically let us take over. I had a delicious cocktail and sampled the chips and salsa--the salsa here is fabulous. I was impressed that there was always at least one server taking care of our group so we could place our orders super quickly despite being a large group. I can't wait to return in summer to try out the patio--it looks like fun!
Great mexican style restaurant located at downtown Decatur, sport bar ambience, good music, service was fast and friendly, food was delicious, we ordered some chips, guacamole, burritos and tacos, everything was hot and fresh made. Recommended for families and friends
We love Raging Burrito & Taco and go here very often. Every time we bring any guest they love the fat burritos and it's delicious with a great patio vibe in the back. We usually get margaritas that are great but also got some mocktails last time and those were honestly some of the best drinks we've had in quite awhile!
I used to come here all the time and then I moved away so when we moved back to the area this year, I wanted to see if they were still good, sadly no they aren't. My return experience was so disappointing and expensive. We ordered two fajita burritos and queso. The chicken in the fajita burrito was large cubes that tasted like day old meat. It was smothered in very wet bell peppers and onions that made the already unpleasant burrito unpleasant. There was hardly any rice and I never found the cheese or sour cream. I ate (barely) half of the burrito, which was the same situation for my daughter and then we threw the rest of the food away. The queso was lukewarm and didn't taste like anything. The chips were so old it would've been almost funny at this point had we not spent almost $40 for two burritos and queso. On top of that, we complained to the restaurant and it went unacknowledged and unanswered. Never again, I hate that my good memories of this place was ruined in one visit.
Cinco De Mayo dinner for 2 It was Cinco de Mayo, and we threw together a last-minute plan to grab some Mexican food. We made our way down to Decatur to check out Raging Burrito, a place we hadn't tried before. I'd passed by it a few times but had never stopped in to eat. We arrived and noticed the shared parking lot that we had actually been to for another nearby restaurant. It was the usual scan-and-pay setups, but the pricing was kinda weird--$7 for 30 minutes or $19 for three hours. No in-between. I went with the $19 options this time. We walked into the outdoor patio area and were told we could sit wherever we liked. A few tables were open, the layout was relaxed and casual. Our server came by and handed us the drink menu. There weren't many beer options, so we both went with the Raging Mexican Lager. Not long after, she returned with the food menus. After looking them over, Wifey ordered the Carnitas burrito bowl, and I went for the jerk chicken and pineapple burrito. Our beers arrived shortly after and the food followed surprisingly fast. We both dug in and were pleasantly surprised--everything tasted great, and the portion sizes were just right. After we finished, we walked through the restaurant and realized the front entrance opens directly onto downtown Decatur Square. Like I mentioned, I'd passed this spot before, but this was our first time dining here--and we'll definitely be coming back. The food was excellent.
There are quite a few places for burritos in downtown Decatur, but this spot is my favorite. The burritos really are huge and tasty. Inside is nice, but we prefer the outdoor patio. We've always received good service here too.
This was the first place I ate in when I came to Decatur for the first time, so I had some high hopes. I wound up getting a raging queso burrito but wanted it in a bowl because it looked like one of their signatures. However, I think they forgot about my order because my friends got their food much quicker than mine and the server came to apologize about the delay. Although I asked about getting it in a bowl, it still came as a burrito. I enjoyed the mushrooms inside, but I was hoping for a cheesy filling too. It also looked small. I got the Georgia peach margarita for around $10. The peach flavor could have been stronger but it paired well with the sourness. The parking situation could have been better. It's next to a paid lot and street parking.
Reviews are mixed. Many highlight the large portions, lively patio atmosphere, and friendly staff. Drinks, especially margaritas, are also well-liked.

A great casual Mexican Cantina that serves serious Burritos! Go in with an appetite as they are huge. The parking is a bit sketchy, and the front entrance is all but invisble. Go to the back [that is where GPS will take you anyway] and life is good. They have plenty of outdoor seating and two main dining areas indoors. The food! The Service! The location. Gets an 'A' from me. read more
I used to really love this place SO much! But after countless miscommunications with staff, hours on Yelp, Google, the internet, etc. they are definitely NOT opened as much as they advertise! Tell me why we went to eat in tonight at 8:30 and all of the chairs were on tables already and we stupidly thought we could sit at the bar to order and they said they are closed.... You're closed over an extra hour than what you're advertising on the internet?!? Not to mention a few months back I brought a few friends here (1 is from Mexico and they as very excited to try this place after my hype) and we walked in and the waitress was very pushy and told us we had to order absolutely everything we wanted because they would be closing in 5 minutes... it was freaking 8 o'clock!!! Not a great way to run business and ever since it's been under new ownership, I've heard several remarks that it's going down. It's such a shame because I used to love this place but don't false advertise... I'll take my friends to Twain's, Brick Store or RREAL Tacos before ever doing this again. I've learned my lesson the past few times. Really sucks. RIP old owners because this place *USED* to be the best! read more
I mean, it's ok. Service is good. We had chips and salsa, tacos and a margarita. Everything was fast and fresh. It's also nothing you can't make at home for taco night with the fam. The only thing that really got my attention was the pineapple salsa, a sweet delight. I'm supposed to mention ambiance so think early 2000s Don Pablos and that's about right. read more

The burritos here are AMAZING and GIGANTIC. Definitely a good place to stop if you're starving and need food quick because the burritos come out fast. I was unable to finish mine and I had leftovers for the next day. The space is also large, I went on a Sunday afternoon at a random time so there weren't that many people but I can tell it probably gets busy. It seems like a great hangout spot or place for a group get together read more

The food is good- not amazing as the brisket was a little dry or the tilapia tasted like it was fried from a frozen pack. The service was fine? It just was if that makes sense. Nothing was over or undwewhwlming. My friend got a pomegranate margarita. I got a mango mimosa. They were dandy. I will say no matter which entrance or dining room your in you pass by kitchen and closest and that is gross. Looks cluttered and unkept and makes you wonder about the food. This is why I took away two stars. Lastly, from where we were seated we could hear Latin music coming from the kitchen, but that's not what the dining room was playing. Ambiance opportunity for sure. read more
This restaurant is a staple of downtown Decatur. From its charming decore to their attentive staff, I have to say that it's one of my favorite spots to visit in Decatur. Obviously they are know for 'rolling fatties' meaning their gigantic baby-size brurritos. Filled to the brim with delicious goodness. Besides those, their selection of tacos and quesadillas are also quite impressive. On this occasion, we tried the raging monster quesadilla with chicken. Not only was it enormous in size.. it was also enormous in flavor. Too big to eat in one sitting for me. The tacos are usually pretty good here. My favorite ones are the carnitas tacos.. which I opted to skip on this trip. Instead I had the Baja Fish Tacos.. which were ok.., but definitely not as tasty and flavorful as some of the other options. Either way, Raging Burrito is a must-stop next time you're in Downtown Decatur. Enjoy some chips with a delicious queso or salsa. read more
This is a nice Tex-Mex spot they have a wide variety of burritos, and some unique options of jerk tofu with pineapple salsa and chicken with Thai peanut sauce. They have an extensive taco selection, and refreshing margaritas. Our waiter was accommodating and friendly. This is a great spot for casual dining with family or friends. read more

Very solid spot for afternoon chill time with friends. The seating is plentiful, and if it matter to you, it's right next to MARTA. The margarita pitchers are pretty well priced, and delicious. Our server was very sweet, too. read more

Raging Burrito and Taco is a cool, dive-bar style Mexican spot in the heart of downtown Decatur. My husband and I were in the area and felt like grabbing some tacos. We decided to sit on their patio since it was a nice day. Even though it was pretty packed on this particular Saturday, we were able to find a table with no issue. A little tip: if you check in on Yelp, you get a free chips with chili con queso dip. We both ordered margaritas- one blood orange and one georgia peach. Both were pretty good, just a little on the sweet side. For entrees, we each got the two taco plates with rice and beans. I got a steak and baja fish taco with a side of guacamole. The steak taco was delicious! The meat was tender and plentiful. Wasn't a huge fan of the fish taco. Not sure what type of fish they used but it didn't taste fresh. Plus, the breading was mushy and the oil used for frying tasted old. All in all, I thought the service was very good and the overall vibe was fun. I would probably come back to try one of their burritos the next time I'm in the area. read more
Visited this restaurant for the first time with a few of my capoeira friends, and it was great! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly faces and a beautiful ambiance coupled with great music. Our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful when we were going through menu options. I order their taco platter and it was very good! The drinks are great as well. This location is in the downtown Decatur area so parking most likely will cost, but there are so many things in the area to make your visit worthwhile. read more

Me and My husband came in today and got exceptional service from a server named Liam. Liam is on point!!! He gave great suggestions for drinks while we were sitting on the patio. The ambience is great, calm cool and collected. we will definitely be back. read more
Ate here last night through door dash. We got a Cajun burrito and a raging queso burrito. They were so big and hearty, love that! There were filling and tasty too!! My only complaint is that their menu when ordering does t seem to be set up right. For instance the queso burrito states that it comes covered in queso but when selecting options for it, it tries to add $3 to add queso. The Cajun burrito states it can come with Cajun spiced meat, but it's not an option to select as a meat. We left comments in the modifications sections regarding these two things and were happy to see they were addressed. This place definitely gives you your moneyed worth, glad we chose them. read more
I haven't been here in years but recall enjoying the burrito I had on my first visit. My most recent dine in was earlier this month on a Thursday evening around 8pm; the weather was lovely and perfect for outside dining. I guess everyone had the same idea because the patio was packed, and the inside was pretty empty with the exception of a large party. This is the perfect spot for an Americanized Mexican meal for carnivores, vegetarians, and sometimetarians. You can enter the outside patio through the front or back and it's first come first serve and seat yourself. You place your order at the makeshift ordering station outside. I definitely recommend checking out the menu online so you're ready to order when you arrive. Once you order you get a number to take to your table and your meal is brought out to you. I had the nachos with tofu, and it was a very large portion with lots of yummy toppings, tofu was seasoned well, and the dish was very good! The guacamole side was simply good, definitely a must for a starter. The peach margarita was strong and delicious. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and would dine here again and sit outside. Don't forget street parking is free after 6pm so don't waste your money parking in a paid lot if you can find a spot on the street. Servers were working hard, made sure tables were being turned and food was brought out timely. I was also greeted as soon as I walked through the doors by the bartender. read more
This is my dad's favorite place so we go here All The Time. HUGE portions for the price and very yummy salsa! (You do have to order it but it's maybe $4) I always get the steak nachos but decided to go with tacos this time. Make sure to get the dip trio if you have a group! (salsa, guac, queso) Their Thai chicken salad is also amazing? I love their mango mimosa! Super generous pour. They advertise having 16 beers on tap outside but there are only about 4 (Trust me, they want to change the sign too, LOL) Service is always great, we love when Ashanti works the bar! They are all so kind here. Their patio is beautiful, spacious, and dog friendly, but you'll need to order outside at the designated table. There is no table service outside in terms of ordering (they do check up on you though, they are the best!) A gem in Decatur for fun times and a great value :) read more
