Called this counseling service on a recommendation. I had looked up the website to get the phone…read morenumber . I only wish I paid more attention to the the review on the site !!! He gave them a horrible review!! Well here is one more!! I called the number and listened to their message. In order to make an appointment as a new client you were told to contact Heather O'Rielly at extension "1". Pressed 1 and listened to the music for a minute or two. She picked up the phone and said "hello". I was taken aback, thinking I got someone's private line, not a business extension. She didn't say "can I help you?" or introduce herself by name. I felt like I was disturbing her! She was borderline rude. I had to explain that I wanted to make an appointment. "Oh...what insurance do you have? Is this for yourself? I told her that I had Medicare and United American. Her response was "I haven't heard of that company." Explained it is not a common company . Curtly she said "I will have to call you back. What is your phone number? Oh, we don't take Medicare either. " (Said offhandedly.) "Do you want to call someplace else instead?" At that point I said yes! I told her that her phone manners were atrocious !! I have never contacted a medical service that did not introduce themselves when answering the phone, be courteous and polite. Heather O'Reilly was none of these things and an embarrassment to Elevate Counseling Services. She is your first contact person and therefore her behavior is your first impression of this group. They need to re-educate this woman or get someone else to do these phone interviews!! No, I will not recommend this service to anyone! Also read another nasty review just now. I wonder how many more are out there????

Sloppily run practice…read more The clinician working with our child suddenly left the practice. And we found a clinician in another practice. A few months later we received a bill from ACCA because they didn't bother sending the information to the insurance company. I called the insurance company, let Dr. Jones at ACCA know they didn't have the information. I called the insurance company back to double check with the exact date of service and the name of the person who should have sent the info. They verified they had no record of services being rendered on that date. I again let Dr. Jones know, but never heard back from her. I assumed she had followed up. But today I get a letter from a collection agency saying my account is seriously delinquent. In my opinion, it is service provider's responsibility to provide the information to the insurance company so they can pay. It's not a large amount of money, but it's the principal of the thing. If for some reason the insurance had denied the claim, I would fully understand it's my responsibility and would have paid. But if you don't file the claim, how do you expect to get paid ? Unprofessional. I would avoiding Adult & Child Counseling Associates, and Dr. Margaret Jones.

I'm so disappointed to have to write a negative review. I wanted this to work so badly but it…read moredidn't. Tamara is a good counselor but being good, isn't good enough, Especially when you unreliable. First, I feel like she's more concerned about money than actually helping. Multiple times she chased me down, telling me I didn't pay for appointments. After I pulled out receipts, which I had to ask for since they don't automatically give you one, she backed off. But this happened, multiple times. She made sure to find me for money but never to make sure I was doing ok. My first appointment that SHE booked me for, was a disaster. She never actually put me on the schedule and I waited an hour before I could see her. I just assumed this was a mistake and it wouldn't happen again. Little did I know, this would be my experience. Every single time I went, she was late. After she was late, she would rush through our sessions. I never saw her for more than 20 minutes. After our second session, she tried to push me from weekly sessions to biweekly or monthly. After TWO sessions, she was already trying to cut me out. I pushed back, she agreed that I should still come weekly. One time I went for my appointment and she wasn't even there. Again, maybe a mistake, even though I confirmed my appointment multiple times. The last time I went for my appointment, the office was completely closed. This was a very important appointment for me, which she knew. Despite her knowing how vulnerable I was, she never rescheduled or even called to check in on me. Thank God it was t life or death because she still doesn't know if I'm alive or not. That last appointment was over a month ago. As a counselor, you are sometimes someone's life line. If I depended on her to save my life, I wouldn't be here. She is not reliable. She is unprofessional. I am so disappointed and will never ever step foot back in that building.
