He is very personable, knowledgeable, and has a breath of understanding on how to address various aspects of the individual. If you need someone to talk to, someone who can help you or your child or your partner or spouse, even together, this is a good guy. Completely recommended.

During the last appointment we had with our son, which was regarding a serious issue where our son had been incredibly disrespectful and dishonest, John said to us in front of our son, It's not like it was murder. I replied I didn't think we should use extreme examples to downplay the seriousness of our son's behavior. I came to find out later that while in session with our son he would share his opinion with him on how he thought certain things weren't a big deal and that our rules weren't appropriate, making comments like, And how old are you? when our son would share something with him. Which, of course, our son has thrown back in our faces that even his therapist agrees with him, further validating his disrespectful behavior toward us and his disdain for our rules that he thinks he doesn't have to follow at 16 years old because he thinks he's grown now. I don't care what John's opinion was/is about our parenting style and rules, it was not his place to comment on them to our son. Especially knowing the issues he has with female authority figures that we specifically told him we needed help with! John even told us himself that he told our son that mothers are just more protective, further pushing the gender norm narrative and patriarchal dismissive attitude toward women's actions only being emotionally motivated and not logically valid. I'm just beyond disgusted at how unprofessional he was and the further damage he caused to our son's sexist attitude and his relationship with us.

We all were sleeping better and feeling more grounded and peaceful after the first 4 or 5 sessions. We did daily sessions for a month. The anxiety my daughter was experiencing went away. She was able to focus better at school and and enjoy her peers more. By the end of the month she was more flexible and adjusted better when plans changed last minute. She was a lot happier and more joyous overall. I highly recommend this product.

Hello, To whom may read this with the intention to determine…read morewether this is an adequate place to look for counseling, I can tell you yes! I see one of the counselors, Lauren Sanders, with her pal Chai. Chai is an emotional therapy dog that always brings a smile to my face when I see her. Lauren is qualified and professional, you can view her credentials on their website. After attending two other counselors, I met Lauren. She treated me with care and positivity which were two things she saw I needed. Lauren is attentive and problem solving, I say this because she saw a problem and she provided me the tips/tools to conquer these issues. Not only did I learn the things she helped me with but she also taught me to meet the negativity with positivity. I learned this from observing wether she was a good fit unlike the previous two. You could say I was guarded at first like anyone would be but as she helps you, you can see that this is not just a job. She truly cares about her patients and you can not help but think about what makes a person who hardly knows you, be ready to go beyond the call of duty to make sure you succeed. Overall I think Lauren is an amazing counselor and we all could learn something from her. I know because I did and I am much better than before I saw her.
