Customer service was absolutely fantastic and Tyler W. was accommodating and gave us clear explanations as to what was wrong. We received a text message with a picture of the employees so we knew who to expect and what they looked like. Arlinghaus has to send another worker out to discuss prices on a new furnace. Tyler was able to get our furnace working temporarily as we look into buying a new furnace. It cost $89 for him to come out and diagnose the problem. They will remove this from any extra work they may need to do. Unfortunately, in the end we could not afford even the lowest option they had for a furnace. They use a top furnace line brand and are more expensive then the national average. This was the only draw back for me that it was to expensive and I did not want to enter into a loan for a $7,000 furnace when the average homeowners pay is $3100. Regardless, they were transparent and did not pressure me into anything we didn't want to do. I highly recommend Arlinghaus for their professionalism and honesty with their customers.

Their quoting and scheduling contact was a pleasure to work with and their technicians were professional, knowledgeable, flexible, and did a great job cleaning up. One of the lights was not placed exactly where I wanted it, and they came back on a Saturday to move it at no extra charge!

They took the photos and were hired and paid to issue a statement on what happened to make it less hard on a single mother with a child that has special needs, to provide a home that isn't full of the remnants of some lazy company that failed to provide what they charged and took thousands to not complete. They hired kids for the most part, then had my home at their mercy and when i let them know the workers tried to get business from us outside of what we hired the company for, and that equipment was still here.. they showed to take pictures (likely for an insurance claim on the materials) then they left it' all here, including the mess from the damage they made, and all i wanted was it finished.. so they smiled and said they'd get right back to us, and that was that. Unlike them, I'm not in the habit of saying things im not able and willing to back up with more than my mouth and welcome any resolution. It's saying more about them than me though if I'm only able to get a reply because i called them out on here.

I have lived in several houses in my life. We bought an Arlinghaus house about 20 years ago and…read morehave had nothing but problems. The back yard was graded in the wrong direction (I blame the Boone County Building inspectors for that also). This caused repeated flooding of our basement until we spent several thousand dollars to get the yard regraded correctly. Along with the sump pumps we had to replace. The downstairs toilet was put in with wood screws so it wobbled every time someone sat on it, again until we paid to have it fixed. We still have water problems along the side yards because of their failure to bring the house up to the same height as surrounding house, so we get all of our neighbors water when it rains. I could go on but let me sum this up by saying if I had to choose between an Arlinghaus built house or a tent I'm taking the tent. Be advised.
