This has to be one of the most efficiently run clinics I have been a part of given how many PTs, PTAs, and PT aides they employ. They do their absolute best to have 1:1 ratio of patient with PT which is manageable on most days with the exception during busy hours. Even during the busy hours, they have enough assistance from their coworkers as they use a team approach to provide the best patient care possible. Patients are given undivided attention by the employee during the entirety of their treatment session and they even have bilingual staff which helps reach out to more people in need of assistance during their treatment sessions. The clinic handled the pandemic phenomenally with closing down as soon as possible early in 2020 and only opened once the local government lifted restrictions. They opened following COVID-19 policies and restructured the clinic to abide by these policies as well as created a staggered schedule for the PTs so that not too many patients were being treated at the same time/risking overcrowding. All employees and patients MUST wear masks and have their temperature taken every visit with no exceptions and they've continued to be strict about that to this day (Mid-September). Machines and equipment are constantly wiped down with disinfectant wipes, patients are treated on tables more than 6ft apart, and PTs use the private treatment room as often as possible to aide in flattening the curve in Maryland, especially since the patient population comprises of "at risk" individuals during the pandemic. All in all, I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone in or near the Germantown area if they wish to be seen promptly by knowledgeable staff, want to work with employees that feel like family, and are a fan of a healthcare establishment that puts patient/employee satisfaction and safety on the forefront of their company's mission.

I wish I could give negative stars. AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more 1. My doctor was essentially a drug dealer. The answer to everything was a shot or a drug. Fine. But even then he was incapable of correctly ordering a prescription correctly. 2. As a result of my doctor's mistakes I had to keep calling for 3 days to get anyone's attention in order to get premature refills on the now lifelong medication I would be on. You CANNOT get an immediate answer for ANYTHING. You have to go through a voicemail box to talk to anyone and good luck getting a response the same day. The receptionists that are on the phones are the only ones that you can actually talk to and they are not going to be helping you. When I finally got a response it was claimed that they tried contacting me but couldn't get through. Yeah, sure. 3. They are scam artists. They put a boot on my foot without explaining the costs. In fact, the medical assistant explicitly said that insurance would pay for the boot. They charged my insurance $400 for a boot that costs them about $10-$20 tops. In turn my insurance charged me for most of it. In fact the out of pocket cost for this boot was more than my entire visit. When I called their billing to question it, they lied and said there was nothing they could do. As someone who has managed medical billing departments before, there was plenty that they could do, but they just refused. 4. The apathy of this practice towards their patients has made the last few weeks of my life a living hell. Not only do I have to live with my affliction but I have to pay these crooks for the privilege of being ripped off. AVOID AVOID AVOID

When I ended up at Shady Grove hospital they recommended Shady Grove Orthopedics. I was so impressed with the smooth running, well organized office. I could do most of the paperwork on the computer at home before my appointment. That is great, especially for one handed patients. Then, there is Dr. Shrout, who is outstanding! He specializes in hands, wrists, and elbows. He is kind, thorough and professional. He listens and takes the patient into consideration. He gives great advice. I highly recommend him. So, great office(Germantown) and fabulous doctor. A win, win situation. Now, if the hand would just get better !

It was an overdue stroke of luck! Unlike other locations, including the Rockville location of this firm, he did not bring up a computer program, type in relevant joint and run me through what program queued up. He carefully crafted a regimen tailored to my problems using a paper chart involving a lot of exercises that didn't come up with computer program, and slowly progressed me without causing any new injuries or problems, more than making up for functional losses accumulated over prior year in 12 weeks. He worked with me personally for at least first half hour of every hour, and actually supervises the PT assistants for second half hour. I can't say enough good things about Daniel. Also, location has moved, so address above is incorrect.

He answers all questions to my satisfaction, assumes I am intelligent enough to understand what he says, but patiently explains when I do not. He always greets me with a warm, welcoming smile--even when I know he is having a hectic day. He has performed two surgeries for me, after attempting to relieve the problems with therapies of one sort or another. I have had no complications with either surgeries, recovery time, or follow-up. He is willing to admit when an issue or problem is out of his purview and ready to refer to whom he feels is the best to handle it. Dr. Levin's direct assistants are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The front office staff could be a bit friendlier and welcoming, especially in the Germantown office where I most frequently see him, but they are not rude or impolite. I most heartily recommend him to anyone needing his specialized services.

I hit the jackpot with Dr. Shrout. He is outstanding in his field and his bedside manner is excellent. He is kind, empathetic, knowledgeable, and an expert professional in the area of your hand. But, the PA who welcomed me and started the ball rolling, her name was Grace and she was fantastic too. And, my x-ray technician, who is about to give birth, congratulations to you. She was so sweet and understanding. Even the gentleman at the front desk was kind and made checking in and checking out a breeze. The office is in Germantown and it's in a complex where there are a lot of medical offices. The office is a bit hard to find and is not visible to where all the parking is. Save yourself some time and just call them to ask for walking directions in case you were lost like me. The office is facing the street, behind one of the buildings. After speaking to Erica, the receptionist, to ask for walking directions, it was a breeze finding the office! My physical therapist referred me to Dr. Samuel Sanders to take a deeper look into my shoulder injury. My first appointment was an initial check and consultation for my shoulder injury and he recommended I go back to my physical therapist to do more rehabilitation for four weeks and then come back for a follow up to see if it improved. Dr. Sander's is a great doctor! I really appreciate his conservative approach to assessing my shoulder and ruling out all options before going with more invasive approaches. He is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He is also very friendly and easy to talk to. I truly appreciated all his feedback and he helped me understand my body more. I did not get any invasive procedures done because he felt they were not absolutely necessary, unless i wanted to move forward in that path. I appreciate that nothing was forced on me and that he allowed me to make my own decision. I would recommend this practice to anyone!

This only deals with the initial experience, I have no idea about how competent the PTs are or how…read moreeffective the treatment's are as I didn't get past the initial consult. Arrive for appointment to a dark office, as a new patient, I'm not certain where to go exactly so I sit in the waiting room until someone walks by, looks at me, keeps walking and then stops and asks me 'may I help you?' I respond I'm here for PT and she points me to the room marked 'Physical Therapy' as apparently there is a separate front desk there which could not be seen from what I thought was the waiting room for the PT practice. Go the PT reception desk and say I'm here for my appointment. Get handed a clip board with 8-10 pages of paper on it with zero instructions, not even a single word. Okay fine, sure. Sit down and proceed to enter repetitive information and some fields have already had someone hand write information in such as referring Dr, etc , folks, it's 2025, why is paper forms even a thing? So go thru that fun, then get handed a tablet with 'here, you need to do this' um, sure. So do that, and I really had to say something about the experience so far. Then get put in an examination room, and in comes the PT who sits down and starts asking questions about the injury, how it happened, what my understanding was, what treatment was done, how much fluid was drained, what injections were done, etc. Part of the reason why I chose to get PT here was because it is associated with my Ortho Drs practice so they would have direct access to my treatment record and all of that information was in the record. I have zero issues talking about issues related to the injury that is not in the treatment record but please don't try to buy yourself time because you didn't review the record prior to coming in by asking needlessly repetitive questions. I'm not a medical expert so asking me how much fluid was drained when it's listed in the treatment record so you can 'get my understanding' is going to accomplish exactly what? If I do remember the exact number, it's just to confirm what's in the treatment record and if I give you the wrong number, it proves what exactly? So at this point, questioned exactly what was the point of asking me information that is contained in my treatment record and that I have zero issues providing any information related to the injury that is not listed. First time I have ever walked out of a medical office but I will not be going back. This experience was really poor which is very disappointing considering how much I love my Ortho Drs and staff there.
