Service provided mostly by school-aged kids, but they were well trained, polite, and attentive. We ordered Family Deal (with grocery store receipt coupon). On a rainy day in Cross Lake everyone had the same idea, escape the rain for good food! I saw the reviews for Raffertys and was sold. It's small, not a lot of seating but their to go orders were booking which tells you something about the pizza. We had a large pepperoni /sausage a standard for a new place and a salad with beer. Good beer on tap and the food was excellent. Thin crust pizza with fresh toppings cooked perfectly and a sizable family salad worked great to split. I love Cross lake and love this place... a good casual option if you are looking to escape the pub food scene! I look forward to trying to prickly pig and Cuban! read more

Solid pizza on a chilly day! Rafferty's hits the spot and it's not near as chaotic as other places in town. Great for families. Staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Pizza's are consistent and yummy. We like the wings because they are juicy and not overly crispy. read more

This was a great spot for takeout dinner during a week at the cabin. The staff was courteous, and service was quick. The pizza was a bit cold and chewy by the time we got home - I'm sure it would've been best right out of the oven. The chicken wings were solid - flavorful but not too spicy for the kids. (Score!) we ended up ordering pizzas from here because of a disasterous encounter at another local dining spot. The manager and bartender were amazing to work with and were even willing to stay open late if we wanted to hang out a little longer. We ordered three pizzas for carry out and thought all three were great! I have never had a pizza with mashed potatoes on it but thought we would give it a try and it really worked. Same thing with the pizza with Lingonberry Sauce. I even thought the all- meat pizza was very good. I've been coming here for years and recently their pizza has gone downhill. I normally purchase it as pickup and the pizza is not even hot for the short drive home. The flavor and toppings are lacking, especially for the price. Today, it appears they forgot to add the onion and just tossed it on after it was cooked! We called our order in as we had our dogs and though they take them on the patio we wanted to be in the shade. The girl on the phone was very nice and it only took 15 min for a medium pizza. We picked it up and asked for some napkins to eat at a park and they supplied us with plates and parmesan cheese as well. It's right at the town square which has a little park with shaded seating. The pizza was good, sausage had good flavor. The cheese bread was super cheesy and was yummy, the sauce that came with the bread was good but plain, it could of used a bit more flavor. Great pizza! Some of the best pizza in the Brainerd lakes area. They have a great variety of special Pizza's and their sizes can feed a family with just one pizza! We got the chicken Alfredo pizza which is one of my favorites and tried their boneless wings for the first time the pizza was a 9/10 and the wings were about a 5.8/10 they were nothing special and did not have much sauce on them at all but the taste and the wing were good. No complaints here we will be back here to have one of our favorite pizza's hopefully soon! read more

When we grow tired of all usual places you can get to by water, we pop into Raferty's in Crosslake! Actually it's my kids favorite pizza place in town and when I'm not in the mood for pizza the salad and hot sandwiches are also delicious! We got takeout and the chicken boneless bites were mushy and soft. The pizza had ok flavor but it didn't seemed cooked, seemed like someone heated it up and then just stuck toppings on it and said good. Good pizza. I have been visiting the one in Nisswa for a while but this is a newer addition (at least to me) to the Crosslake area in the new mall area they built a few years ago. I like their pizza. To me, a good crust is a must and I like this crust. I had their buffalo chicken most recently, and it was quite good. My wife had a sausage and black olive and we traded slices, and it was good as well. Good red sauce. My daughter had a corn dog. I didn't try it. But she seemed to like it. Overall a great place to stop for some pizza and family friendly. If you're up at the cabin, check this place out over Zorba's. read more

Been to Rafferty's since it opened and always considered it quite good pizza for the Northwoods. Was greeted promply when arrived and given menus although you have to go to the counter to order your pizza and drinks. Ordered a "build your own" rather than one of their house specials. It arrived promptly but unfortunately undercooked. This is the second time this has happened since they seem to have changed the crust to what I suspect is a prebaked product rather that a hand tossed product or ran through a sheeter which I recall seeing in the kitchen last year. Pepperoni was good and greasy. Italian sausage was hard to find and lacking seasoning. Canadian bacon was good although needed more cooking time. Mushrooms were ample, fresh cut and placed on top. However when cooked on top the mushrooms seem to take on a shriveled look and lack flavor. Always willing to give them an additional try, but feel they're taking too many short cuts by using too many distributor prepared ingredients to make an above average pizza. One of the guests compared it to one of the local pre-made bar pizza's that come in cellophane. Maybe I'm critical but if you been to Pizza Expo in Las Vegas you get an idea what a exceptional pie can be. read more

Hours are terrible (only 10pm?!), service is minimal - it's run by high school kids and you have to order at the counter - no table service. Sat outside on their nice patio and where aloud to have our small dog join us there while we ate lunch. Pizza was fresh and done just right. We are residents of Crosslake and visit Rafferty's at least 3 times a month. We've always been satisfied with their pizzas but the staff is the best! They all seem so happy, whether they're answering the phone or handing us our pizza! It says a lot about the supervisors and owners when their employees are always cheerful!
