It's very ironic that the cashier/owner works at/operates a toy store when she so obviously HATES children and would be a better fit at some elite and bitchy art studio or museum. It's sad that I'd rather shop at target or amazon because the staff at a locally owned shop is obviously annoyed with your basic presence in her store. I went in with my husband to look at baby stuff and stuffed animals and the entire time we are shopping. The cashier is practically down our necks. Very rude and when I asked a question about one of the toys she said are you going to buy it? In a very rude tone. I am absolutely appalled by the way we were talked to. This is a great addition to the Eastern Hills Mall. It's a big beautiful toy store with all kinds of non-traditional toys. Then there's the play area. It's kind of like a mini Strong Museum. There are little stores and shops where kids can pretend and use their imaginations. There's a grocery store, a Duff's, doll houses, a fire truck, a police station, etc. Your kids can play while you sit, or you can play with them obviously. It has a gate that locks, so you don't need to worry about your kids escaping. Fun place to pass the time on a rainy or snowy day. read more

This is an excellent toy store for Western NY. Obviously not as big as Toys R Us was, but the selection is still decent. Lots of stuffed animals, train sets, toddler toys, puzzles, games, STEM products, etc. The best part? Prices are actually reasonable, which we were surprised by. There were a couple items we were interested in, and checked Amazon pricing. The price at Raff&Friends was the same or within a dollar or two. It's also nice that they have some toys out for kids to play with (thomas train track, calico critters, etc). read more

Toy store has lots of options but get your wallet out , support locally isn't cheap that's fore sure. The play place is very cute and a great set up for kids . The "service" on the other hand / woman at cash out was so rude and perhaps a children's place /toy store is not the right fit for her . Zero personality and unwelcoming . This place should be thankful it even has patrons in the dying mall and it wasn't busy (the store or play area) A $5 charge for adults is ridiculous, change that to a $5 cleaning fee instead and it would feel a lot better to the consumer . Overall we may go back because at the end of the day the kids did have fun but hopefully have a nicer staff member who would maybe thank us for coming or even say good bye . read more

Had been searching for a specific toy on the internet for months to no avail. Finally came across Raff and Friends, alas, they had one, just one, left in shock. I called to confirm this was accurate as I was on their website and know sometimes site inventory can be incorrect. Sure as heck, it was correct, not only did the gal on the phone confirm but she graciously pulled it from the shelves and said she would be shopping it the following day. No more toys r us means there isn't a lot to choose from locally or in store period. Unlike Toys R Us however, Raff and Friends is one place I will keep going back to again and again for many reasons, the main one being they have HIGH QUALITY items. Little to nothing there is made in China. All companies from around the world and right here in the USA as well, that specializes in making good quality toys and board games. I have many family members who love board games, puzzles, memory/logic games, and getting toys and stuffed animals for their kids and grandkids. There is a VERY WIDE selection of all kinds of games, puzzles, and toys ranging from all ages. You don't have to be a kid or even a parent to wanna shop here. You are bound to find something that you'll love or have never seen in a toy store before it. All the young ladies that work there are also very helpful and have excellent knowledge of the store and it's many different var Whether it's a special occasion, or the holidays, or any day you go out shopping in the area, this is the toy store to visit!! We came to play in the play area and briefly meet a new babysitter (around 430 on a weeknight). Went to the counter and said hi can we play? The (I assume) owner said "that's our PAID program." I said ....yeah.....! With my wallet in hand. She said oh no it's closed. I said oh! I thought you closed at 6? She was argumentative and acted like I was so dumb since "their hours are on their website," and with a smug look on her face she said "the STORE closes at 6 and the play area closes at 4- if it closed at 6 when would I have time to clean? I wouldn't have a life." Strangest response. Meanwhile the store was completely empty. The whole thing was SO awkward I was appalled. Had the interaction instead been "oh I'm so sorry but give us a try another time / take a look around the store" I would have had the kids each pick something to buy- and it's a shame because the store has so much stuff- but now we will never be back. Kim does an amazing job with the birthday party bookings! She really puts time and thought in making each party special for the child. My daughter had a princess and knight theme. She absolutely loved the party Ms. Kim created! The party was for special needs children and with her background with special needs kids, Kim had the children enjoying the whole thing with no issues! We would recommend Raff and Friends to any and everyone to book a birthday party! Affordable, fun and an amazing store owner to boot! There are toy stations throughout the store and the owner encourages kids to play with them. She just asks that the kids put things back. That is something that parents should encourage to do! Raff and friends has a very large variety of quality children's and baby toys for fun, imaginative play and learning. They carry a lot of Melissa and Doug, which is a brand I love as do my kids. Their stuffed animal assortment is huge and they have Beanie Boos, Hatchimals, Calico Critters, tons of animals, and baby dolls. My kids love that they have play tables and train tables out to play with while you shop. Some items seem kind of expensive but a lot of stuff is right on with other stores or online prices. I've not had a bad interaction with staff yet. All in all it's a great store if you're looking for a quality gift or just to look around and play :) read more

The staff at the store is very rude. I've been in there multiple times to buy different things my kids love the store but as soon as a staff member corrects my child that does it for me I will never step foot in there again. I love to give business to small businesses and local businesses but after this I'm going to the big guys. Not to mention if you walk in there with your Amazon app open you can check the prices on there and you can get whatever they have for a third of the price. There are way too many rules at the store. Came here to shop for my nieces' birthdays. Planned to go here and then to Clayton's, but I ended up getting gifts for all five nieces here because their selection was so extensive. More specifically, their selection of Playmobil was amazing. Very friendly staff as well. Felt great to help a local small business, especially in times like these. read more

Bright and colorful enough to draw you in. High end toys, games, and stuffed animals with prices to match. Don't bother trying to avoid the sales staff, they are pushy and will try to talk you into anything you look at, touch or pick up. For that reason alone I will probably never return. read more

My husband and I stopped in today. We liked the selection of toys and educational items. We were curious and asked if they offered an educator discount. We inquired if it included homeschoolers. We do homeschool, and didn't care if they offered one or not. However, the attitude and tone of voice of the woman who was answering our questions changed from nice to unpleasant the moment the word "homeschool" slipped from our lips. read more

Came to the Elmo play day here on 5/21/16 since some friends were going. Really glad that we came, it was so nice for the little ones. The Owner seemed great, reading books to all of the kids. We then went for a parade around the mall, then had cookies and juice and even made a craft. I was unable to do any shopping as the little one was tired out after all of this, but I will definitely be back--they had a lot of hands on toys for the kids to try, which is always nice before buying and the store is huge, lots of different things throughout. read more

I like the toys but the owner and employees are rude and pushy. My 12 year old friend and I went in and we almost got kicked out because we were "underaged". The second time I was babysitting so I wanted to see if there was anything for that child I was watching, she didn't care when we were in but once she saw I had money she was showing me stuff left and right. Also my mom owns I shop really close to this store. When I went in today she asked me if I lost my card in there I said yes then I told her the 20 second story but I was cut of and aggressively asked what's my last name she didn't bother to contact me or my mom at all and I gave her my moms business card so she had my moms number! read more

This is such a fun store! I'm so happy to see that they've expanded and have gotten so many new science items in! I do wish it wasn't so pricey but I suppose it's worth it since the products you can get there are excellent and they're unique - you definitely can't find some of these toys at other stores! read more
