I had my 2 watches and 4 pieces of jewelry repaired by Goldmine recently and was very satisfied…read morewith the service and overall experience. Their jeweler is a try craftsman and made my jewelry look like new again, and the watchmaker is a true expert of the trade - he took time to explain to me what work needed to be done to my Rolex and Longines watches as well as why service at regular intervals was required. Their staff is very helpful and courteous too, It was an excellent and very pleasant experience overall.

I brought my son's less than a year old G-Shock into Goldmine Jewelry to have the battery replaced…read more While my son was waiting, the owner Chaim attempted to open the back of the watch but was unable to do so.Chaim is not a watch repairman and was unaware that G-Shock watches require more nuanced service to maintain the watches pressurized water resistance. My son told him that the watch would be picked up later in the week and there was no rush. When the watch was returned to us, Shimon the watch repair man replaced the battery but did not use silicone lube when aligning the case gasket, causing the watch to fog up due to the loss of water resistance. I brought the watch back and explained that the water resistance was ruined because they did not properly reseal the watch. A few days later Miriam, the owner as well, told me that they have to break the gasket in order to replace the battery. She said that they don't repair gaskets and told me they are not responsible for the water resistance damage. That is not true. The battery can be replaced without damaging the gasket and it is worrisome that a "professional" Jewelry store owner would say such a thing. When I asked for a repair or a replacement of the watch, Chaim told me that it was my problem and that I should send it back to Amazon. He also told me I was making a big deal over a $100 watch. $100 dollars is a lot of money for me, it was a present for my son's good grades and I felt belittled that my $100 watch was a pittance in his eyes to make a fuss over. I felt belittled. He called me a liar about the age of the watch and didn't apologize after producing the receipt that shows the watch is less than a year old. Shimon the watchmaker wrote on the note that the gasket was broken and needed to be replaced, then when spoken to by phone, he said that he isn't sure if the gasket was broken and that he did not lube the gasket with silicone, as is standard procedure, nor test the watch for water resistance after replacing the battery. The watch is less than a year old and Goldmine Jewelry did not own up to their faulty service. Do not use Goldmine Jewelry for replacing batteries on pressurized water resistant watches, they will not do the proper procedure to assure that water resistance is maintained when changing the battery. In addition, the customer service provided by Chaim and Miriam was rude, unapologetic, fallacious and contentious. I was very irate and used strong language out of frustration due to the dismissive, belittling and defensive responses from the owners.
