To our delight, we found their "egg store" is actually their converted garage. Bottom line, expect nothing fancy for their store, but this is a little gem regardless. If you can not make it during regular business hours, fear not! On the front porch is a smart vending machine where you can buy their products even during off hours. You pay by scanning your phone/credit card to make a purchase. The vending machine contains jars of their unfiltered honey, their eggs (sold by the dozen), specialty lotions and soaps, and other products from small, local businesses. Their eggs are super fresh, huge, and come in varying colors, light beige to deep brown. The yolks are deeply colored and rich in minerals. These are obviously very happy, well fed chickens. While the eggs are more expensive than store-bought, you can expect his to be super fresh. He explained that, typically, store-bought eggs are several weeks old before you can buy them. His are a day-old. On Wednesdays (and sometimes Sundays) they sell locally-made sourdough bread loaves, until they run out. Their business card says they also carry other baked goods, but we did not see any on our visit. We returned on Wednesday and came home with a perfect loaf of sourdough bread... wonderful! The front garden is a welcoming, mini paradise, set up with chairs/benches, and filled with pretty flowers, an above-ground vegetable garden, and lush landscaping. They invite their visitors, young and old, to come and stay awhile. Children are challenged to a game where tiny play figures are hidden in the garden to find. It's an adventure for the whole family. This is a chicken farm. The ladies are housed in the back. We are looking forward to a "chicken tour" soon with the grandkids. The honey he sells is from his own bee hives in Temecula, Fallbrook and two other cities I have already forgotten. While I forgot to ask his name, he is a delightful, dedicated owner. His proudly Portuguese grandmother was there helping out, and a real jewel. It is a pleasure supporting a small business, run by good, earnest people like these.

I showed the post to my daughter, and she immediately wanted to paint one of the bunny vinyl dolls. The process was very easy. You simply go to their website, make an appointment (highly recommended), choose from the available dates and times, and pay a $10 deposit to reserve your spot. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Lizz. She was very nice and showed my daughter all the different vinyl options and the many possibilities for mixing colors. After seeing the samples up close, my daughter changed her mind and decided to paint a vinyl cat instead. Lizz explained the process and helped my daughter choose her colors. We then went to our table, where Michelle was very helpful and assisted us throughout the painting process. My daughter had a wonderful time, and just by watching her, I could tell how much she was enjoying the experience and being creative. After completing her piece, my daughter decided to add glitter to her vinyl cat, which made it even more special. Overall, we had a great experience. A special thank-you to Michelle for being so helpful and patient with my daughter and for assisting her with the painting. It is your choice on how big or small you want it and how you would like to paint it as well. Just note that you should not paint the bottom of it so when they can bake it, it will be ok. Overall the session was fun and yes your hands will be a little messy from the clay but you can wash them, inside of the studio towards the back. I came with a party of four and all of us came with something unique and different. I would do this again and can't wait for my next projects. Oh yeah, you will not get it right away you have to let it stay a few days and they will leave it outside with a locker code so you can pick it up anytime after it gets baked in the oven.

I decided to stop in here again this morning before work to pick up what I needed for a tasty Taco Tuesday! It was not busy at all this morning. I was helped immediately and finished up my shopping quickly. I couldn't find the tortillas which I thought was odd, I could only find the tostada shells and tortilla chips. As the cashier was ringing me up, I saw them along the front wall and grabbed a package. I also bought a container of freshly made salsa, two pounds of carne picada and two pounds of pastor, some cilantro, and an onion. Needless to say, these were some of the best tacos I've made and I credit the items I purchased here! We have a ton of leftovers too, so that's awesome! They do charge a $0.75 fee for credit/debit cards. I will definitely be back!
