We were so excited and enjoyed our stay in Stonegate. But they showed their real face when we…read moreplanned to move out because of job. On the day of move out I went in person to leasing office to check if they wish to inspect my apartment. They dint show up and said to just drop the keys. Four days later we moved out they sent me email that my carpet has stains and need to be changed completely. Before move out I paid $200 for cleaning service for entire unit and there were no stains at all. I asked Stonegate to send proof of stains which they dint send for a week and after consecutive demand from my end they sent some pics where the stains are not even household stains. I have attached pics below. It looks like paint or varnish stains when they renovated the unit when we moved out. The carpet was also used by previous tenant at my unit as well. But they asked only us to pay for replacement. Then I checked in Google reviews and similar complaint was reported by another tenant (Shannon) as well. Similar pics and stains. (Attached for proof). I tried to reach her but not able to find her contact details. The management never respond to email with a solution but simply send email demanding us to pay for the carpet replacement. They deducted the amount from my advance and sent the rest amount to me. Please be careful when you plan to vacate. Demand them to check your house when you are at the unit. Never agree to inspect after you leave. They will try all ways to take your deposit amount. Update: 13-JUL-23: As you can see Kim's response below that she is not even ready to investigate and simply comment good luck with new house we moved. They never take the effort to listen to you. It's so hurtful and disappointing. :(

First of all, this is a budget apartment in an excellent school district. My 2016 rate for a 2/2 is…read more$1300/month. If you prefer luxurious living conditions, there are plenty of other high-end apartments in the same area, with ~$400-$600 additional rent each month. Even though the apartment is quite old, but maintenance is speedy. These are the bases of the five stars that I gave here. I lived here for 3+ years (2016-2020). Many residents here are eastern european immigrants. They might not speak much English, but they are honest people and the community is safe. There is a large courtyard in the center of the community. A lot of kids play in that area during the day. There are not many apartments having this kind of community space anymore, which I really appreciate.

Simply put, don't live here…read more I lived at Delmont Village for 5 years. The lease terms are specifically designed to be of maximum advantage to the landlord. Some examples: - By default, if you only lease for one year you lose your entire security deposit to a "redecoration charge". - The lease automatically renews 90 days before the end of each year. The landlord will send you a notice to renew, but the notice does not say when you must reply by if you do not wish to renew. This information IS contained in the lease, to be fair, but the yearly renewal notice is written in such a way that it seems to be deliberately obfuscated exactly how to get out of the lease. Other issues I experienced: - It's virtually impossible to speak to the landlord or maintenance directly if you have an issue. If you call the office you will speak to a friendly, but ultimately powerless gatekeeper who will assure you that she will "put another note in." - Maintenance is very slow to respond to requests (probably due to understaffing). I typically had to call at least twice and sometimes as many as five times in order to get things fixed. - I had squirrels in my walls which woke me up most mornings at 5 AM for months at a time. I had to call maintenance almost daily in order to get the issue taken care of, only to have it return in a few months. - My dishwasher ceased to effectively clean my dishes, and I simply gave up using it after a few tries to get maintenance to replace it. - My air conditioning unit would have to run constantly in order to cool my unit (probably due to it being low on freon). I was unable to get this fixed by maintenance in a timely manner. - The washer and dryer units are almost never in a working state all at the same time. The issue was so frustrating that I stopped using the on-side washer and dryers and just took my clothes to a laundromat. So, long story short, it's a dump. The management is doing the bare minimum to keep the place running, and it shows. I wish I'd moved to Strafford Station apartments instead. Live and learn.
