After landing in Monterrey's airport, and going to eat with my buddy, he dropped me off at this hotel. I noticed that the surrounding area is clean, safe, and quiet. Checking in was no problem, and I opted for an upgrade, since having a great view of the city was very important to me. I got a 2-bed room on one of the upper levels. The room was spectacular. It was nicely decorated, sizable, with great amenities. There was a separate area with the shower and a bath tub, where I was able to relax while enjoying the view of this magnificent city. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I used to complement the morning coffee I ordered through room service. The food available here was great, it was very tasty, and prepared with a good balance of ingredients. I didn't have time to check out the gym nor the restaurant, but I was able to explore the surroundings. Across the street sits Metropolitan Center, a great place for fine dining. There is also Fashion Drive, which is a huge indoor mall with many great offerings. There are nightclubs in the area, but I did not have the opportunity to check them out, either. Daytime or nighttime, this place has plenty to do, and it is very safe. Later on, I learned that San Pedro Garza Garcia is the most affluent part of Mexico. It shows. My stay in Grand Fiesta Americana was a very comfortable one. It exceeded my expectations, and I plan to come back in the near future.

Loved our views from anywhere in the building. Just beautiful. Breakfast was my favorite. Amazing variety of food with one of the best views in MTY. I would return and would absolutely recommend to others. Happy I was able to experience this with my cousins and my mom and my Tia.

It's important to note that there's another Holiday Inn nearby so make sure you're going to the right one. Location-wise, it's amazing! It's right next to Parque Fundidora, which is one of the places you should visit if it's your first time. You can just walk through the building towards the food court area and use the pedestrian bridge to cross. The park also leads to Paseo Santa Lucía, which is another Monterrey thing to experience. There's also an Oxxo and 7 eleven right across the street so if you need to buy water or snacks, it's super convenient. This was a pretty affordable option and the facilities are really nice because they're brand new and very clean. Service was amazing. The staff was always attentive and ready to help. It's also great that their continental breakfast is included. It's not exactly the same every day so it's nice that they mix is up. Some days we had pancakes, others chilaquiles, others even menudos. A little more than just continental! The most amazing thing about this place are the views. We absolutely loved enjoying beautiful views of el Cerro de la Silla and the entire city from our rooms, the side windows, and their amazing terrace. It was magical at night too! Highly recommend!

This hotel has at least ten floors. The inside is very modern, bright, clean and has a great open concept. The rooms are somewhat small, but do have vinyl flooring that is quiet when walking on. The bed was comfy with a nice king pillow. The bathroom is spacious with a stand only shower. The elevators were quick and the pool is outside. Breakfast is offered with your stay each day. The good vast options provided are excellent from eggs, rice, beans, bacon, sausage to fruit, yogurt, potatoes, cookies, muffins, chilaquiles to quesadillas. The breakfast option also offers a cook to order chef who will make anything you desire or anything on their menu for an additional cost. Near by, you'll find plenty of pharmacies, a few taco places and a McDonalds along with a 7-11. Overall, a wonderful stay, everyone was friendly, attentive and ready to be of service. Recommended, for a great stay.

It's in a great location and only 10 minutes walk to the plaza. The Front desk is staffed with English speakers who helped our group immensely. The Internet is fast in the rooms. We ate breakfast and dinner there for a week. We have a lot of people in our group and all commented about the food. It was delicious. The only negative thing is the elevators. There still doing some renovations to one of the elevators was not working. That left two elevators with one being an express elevator and not stopping at every floor. This became a problem at certain times of the day.

Although I spoke very very little Spanish, I was able to get by. I wish the STAFF could've been a little bit more knowledgeable with some of the English barrier. I had to use my app translation to communicate with them. It was very easy to get around we Uber to most of the places that we went and the fair price was decent, usually around under US $10 for 15-20min ride around to the other side

The breakfast buffet featured a variety of Mexican dishes, which was a fun way to start the day. Also, I highly recommend checking out the Sky Bar on the rooftop. The night view was stunning, and both the food and drinks were delicious--such a memorable experience!

As you enter the Gran Ancira hotel you are graciously greeted by numerous hotel employees. You then make your way into the lobby/ ballroom with a beautiful grand sweeping staircase. The floor is the classy black & white checkers that you'll quickly see reflecting above you on the ceiling adorned full of mirrors. I was here for work for 10 days so the food was provided by the hotel but it was very good. I did see that they had a Sunday brunch that looked incredible. The rooms are nice but your view can be hit or miss depending on what side of the hotel you get. The size of the rooms are decent size and the beds were very comfortable pillow top mattresses. The bathrooms varied in size from room to room. A few of the rooms had nice spacious bathrooms while the others(the one I got!) was tiny and made you feel claustrophobic. Other than that everything in the rooms are clean and tidy. Oh yeah the wifi was a bit spotty in the rooms. The surrounding area has a bit of a Euro feel with the cobblestone streets and plazas. Shopping,restaurants and even a electronics market reminiscent of ones found in Asia are all within walking distance. So onto the best part of the hotel....the PEOPLE! Literally every single employee that I encountered at this hotel was sincerely, genuinely nice and helpful! A rare thing nowadays but somehow you guys managed to do it! Booked this hotel due to convenience, it's a block away from my work. But for a Hilton Garden Inn…read moreits highly disappointing. They have major issue with cleanliness. First room I went in, water was leaking under the sink where the bath towels were placed, so they changed my room. The freezer in the 2nd room refrigerator is filled with Ice, I mean literally filled, seems like an avalanche went through the freezer. So, you can't use it. There's very few towels in the room, no face towels at all. This is the first time I have seen a Hotel Room that has no clock. Not that I needed one, but I found it unusual. I could live with everything, but the cleanliness issue is why I am going to check out early and go to a SPG Hotel. #onetimer #Airwolf
