This was completed at Swedish Breast Center in Edmonds, and yet another physician evaluated the results and found it inconclusive. An MRI was strongly recommended. My physician finally convinced the insurance company to approve the MRI. Fast forward to 11/22/24 with an early afternoon MRI appointment at Seattle Radiology on Seattle's First Hill neighborhood. Scheduling was thorough and professional. Park in the parking garage adjacent to the Nordstrom Tower versus street parking. Payment is via QR code at the end, just follow the prompts. Likewise, this location is accessible via Metro Rapid Ride Route G along Madison. Seattle Radiology is located on the 9th floor. Check-in at the reception desk where ID and insurance coverage card will be requested. Other documents are reviewed, signed, dated via an adjacent screen. Additional paperwork will be provided via clipboard to be completed. Waiting area is clean with comfortable seating, has a calming aquarium, lots of natural light, and nice views. Unisex restroom is conveniently located nearby. Pro tips: shower but refrain from using any deodorant, lotions, makeup, fragrance. Eat sparingly, be hydrated. Use the restroom before the MRI appointment. My name was finally called, where I was brought back by an MRI technologist, completed & verified information, shown a locker area to change from street clothes to blue scrubs and lock up one's personal belongings. An IV line was started and flushed. This is where the contrast dye was injected. I was then situated appropriately just outside the MRI tube. An overview and an opportunity to ask questions was provided. A communication squeeze gadget was placed in one hand, warm blanket placed on me, and headphones placed over my ears. I was placed in the tube. I closed my eyes, focused on remaining calm and still as the testing commenced. Thankfully, the 45 minute session was completed in three increments without incident. I did not feel rushed or claustrophobic during my entire appointment. The technologist had a pleasant and professional demeanor. This was reassuring regarding their competency to oversee this MRI procedure. I am still awaiting the final results. However, from scheduling, check-in, and completing the MRI procedure, I had a positive experience at Seattle Radiology.

I went in for a sprained hand and saw Mike Erickson. He was thorough and asked lots of questions and felt several different spots on my hand to gauge where the pain was before sending me for my X-ray. Afterwards, he gave me a detailed explanation of what to expect while it healed, and told me to come back if there were concerns. Overall I recommend!!

The billing service is performed by an unrelated entity called "Seattle Emergency Physicians Services." PROBLEM: I have never received any billing statement or detailed invoice from you; please email both to me. I've already reached my out-of-pocket maximum for 2025, so I shouldn't be responsible for any medical costs related to my emergency room visit. HORRIBLE PATIENT EXPERIENCE Since I have never received any billing from your office, I do not have (1) a client number or (2) an account number when I tried to set up my profile and provide you with my medical insurance information. (See pasted copy of your website below) This is completely unacceptable. Why wasn't my personal and insurance information provided to your office by Swedish Medical? As a responsible person, I have spent countless hours trying to ensure all my medical bills are paid. Swedish Medical provided me with different phone numbers for "Seattle Emergency Physicians Services." I kept calling and was on hold for over an hour each time. I spent three hours at various Swedish Medical facilities (Broadway and Cherry Hill locations), but no one there could help me. I was told again to contact your office. We were diagosed with breast cancer and am now a 3 year survivor thanks to the angels at Swedish Cancer Institute. Dr. Kristine Rinn was and is our top oncologist, Dr. Morris our Radiation oncologist helped us through the cancer diagnosis. The fine people in the radiation ward, always had cheerful greeting to us, and the nurses in the chemotherapy ward was kind and gentle too. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rinn she was fantastic. We felt taken care of and I knew we were in good hands, it is tough enough with everything cancer brings, but thank goodness we found what we needed at Swedish!

I tried to explain that I haven't had contact with my doctor after moving to a new state so I can't get the clearance he needed for some reason. But he wasn't able to comprehend my words. Since the most recent time I came was during this Covid pandemic, it was reassuring to see the staff disinfecting common areas and taking my temperature to make sure I didn't have a fever. Staff was super understanding and patient and walk me through the proedure. They give you earplugs and also play some music through earbuds so you can relax and not hear the loud noises during the scan. They will keep in touch at all moments through a microphone and window. It will last approximately 40minutes but it will depend in the body part to treat. Now, if you need a shoulder MRi, you will also need a Doctor to inject a contrast fluid in your joint. It won't hurt because they use a numbness liquid first ;) So be sure you are going to be in good hands :) Be sure to bring shorts and tank top. No metal. Not even your ring (I was able to feel something with it).
