Validated parking when you go here. The only exception is you'll be lucky to find a wheelchair. Plan ahead. Call ahead to transportation. It's sad how few wheelchairs there are available at Buck.

In short Probably the best experience of any of the…read morehospitals we've had to visit over the last couple years. Even the food was perfectly fine. In long My lovely bride had a massive stroke about 18 months ago, and managing the pain and tremors that resulted sometimes lands her in the ER. Most of the ERs up here in south Snohomish County are underwhelming one way or another, but the Overlake clinic on 196th is amazing. They see you almost immediately. Only disadvantage is having to go to Bellevue if you need to be admitted. She ended up spending 2 nights here at one point this summer, and everything was very well handled. Doctors and nurses were right on top of everything, and got her pain under control quickly. The CNAs handled bed and clothing changes quickly and comfortably. She had a big, well-lit room. She ordered food a couple times, and even with her reduced appetite of late, she was able to eat heartily. She's not one to just go with it when food is below par, either--no matter how hungry she is. Overall, I don't want to come to learn how good lots of different hospitals are, but this is our life now, and Overlake stood out from the rest for quality of care, efficiency, and the compassion of the staff, too.

I was able to stabilize my condition on my own but…read moreas I navigated our health system, Urgent Care -- Teledoc -- Emergency Room -- Specialist, this resulted in my condition not being taken seriously. I was told to ice it and start PT. When I started with the PT specialist, they immediately flagged my condition as serious and recommended I talk to the folks at LWSS. I met with Dr. Chimes and he was the first doctor that took the time to listen to the issues I was experiencing. Dr. Chimes is direct and blunt in his feedback, a trait some may not like but I really appreciated. Dr. Chimes got me setup for a MRI that took place @3pm. He called me on his day off at 8:30 the next morning to get me in contact with a surgeon. Until I met with the folks at LWSS, I was feeling pretty abandoned by the healthcare industry. I can't emphasize enough my appreciation for them taking my condition serious and putting me on the right track.

This is my full update review (I have removed my prior). TL;DR at bottom…read more I saw Doctor Chimes around one year ago for intense hip and back pain. Right away, it was clear he cares more about his personal time than his patients. He told me he wanted yes or no answers and not explanations to his questions (and wouldn't really let me explain things in full even when it would clarify things). After my MRI, which showed multiple spinal issues (bulging, herniated, parse defect, which is a fracture) and bursitis in the hip, he gave me a shot for the bursitis that had already begun healing on its own. During this time, I continually try to tell him the pain is not in the location of the bursitis anymore. He continually ignores or even speaks over me. At the end, I am again trying to tell him I feel pain elsewhere in my hip even though there is a little reduction after the shot (but I was numbed, so of course it would hurt less). To test my pain, he had me stand up from my chair...once. Worse, when we were done and I was alone in the room, when I tried to get up to put my pants on, the pain was so intense I collapsed. This pain happened again when I got home and tried to take one step up the stairs. During our last appointment, instead of listening to me, he tells me "Your pain doesn't match the MRI", and that tells me I'm about to be dismissed, but then it got worse. He continues with, "In his professional opinion, you just need internal pelvic floor PT". Why? Because I'm a woman...and he asked me 2 or 3 YES or NO questions around sex and did not let me explain the answers... I told him I didn't think so, but he disagreed. Well, after speaking with a Pelvic Floor specialist, she disagreed with his assessment. So, instead of doing that, I went to Evergreen Sports and Spine and met with a new doctor who actually took my pain seriously. With his help and a new PT, another MRI of my hip WITH contrast (he was surprised that Dr. Chimes didn't order contrast as it's needed for specific tears in the hip), we found that I had a CAM Morphology, that should have been showing up on my other X-rays and MRIs, but apparently weren't spotted and/or reported...and that I had a tear in the Labrum of my right hip. Later, they also found I had a small pincer as well. So, a double impingement. I had to have surgery because the surgeon I spoke with next agreed that the tear was too large to not do surgery if I wanted to not be in pain. No arguing. No trying to talk me out of it. They immediately agreed it was the best course of action. I had surgery April 2nd of 2024 to remove my CAM and the Pincer they found, and then repair the labrum. While I'm still in recovery, my pain is down 80% of the time outside of flareups when I over exercise during my strength training. I would never send a woman to him, as she will be dismissed. I was in so much pain that I was crying after collapsing at the office during my last visit. The only reason I am giving this location a 2-star is because the women at the front were incredibly nice. This review is leaving out a lot of other smaller issues I had during my short time there. Maybe if you're a man, it'll be worth it, but if you're a woman, go elsewhere. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this office or Dr. Chimes. TL;DR, Dr. Chimes ignored what I said and then gave a sexist course of action due to my gender. New doctor 2 months later discovered the issue and that I needed hip surgery to remove two bone defects and a tear in my labrum. I have now had surgery and am doing well in recovery with a large reduction in pain.

My experience with OPA Orthopedics was completely unacceptable…read more I was referred to OPA after a serious motorcycle accident on July 18 with multiple fractures that required orthopedic follow-up. They received my medical records and imaging, then lost my file. After more follow-up, I was told my records had also not been properly sent over for review, causing even more delay. Then, after weeks of waiting while I was recovering from broken bones, they finally determined that they do not even accept my insurance. So OPA lost my file, failed to process my records correctly, delayed the medical review, communicated poorly throughout the process, and then only after all of that figured out that they could not see me because of my insurance. That is an unacceptable level of incompetence for a medical office dealing with injured patients. This was not just an inconvenience. I needed timely orthopedic care after a major accident, and their administrative failures wasted weeks of my recovery. I would not recommend OPA Orthopedics based on my experience.

It's nice when a provider balances efficiency with compassion, and I think Bellevue Pain and Wellness did just that. Shout out to Derek because he is awesome!! I received IV Ketamine infusions and Spravato for treatment resistant depression. Both were incredibly helpful. I am returning to Bellevue Pain and Wellness in 2026 for the same condition, and look forward to the experience. The location and atmosphere are pleasant and they recently did construction to add more rooms. Sometimes it's the little things, like lollipops at the front desk or a kind greeting with a smile, that makes the experience so much better. Since the most recent time I came was during this Covid pandemic, it was reassuring to see the staff disinfecting common areas and taking my temperature to make sure I didn't have a fever. I have never had an MRI before. I was super nervous because I didn't know what was I going to feel…read moreor hear. Checking was super fast as they already had my info through the doctor. Staff was super understanding and patient and walk me through the proedure. They give you earplugs and also play some music through earbuds so you can relax and not hear the loud noises during the scan. They will keep in touch at all moments through a microphone and window. It will last approximately 40minutes but it will depend in the body part to treat. Now, if you need a shoulder MRi, you will also need a Doctor to inject a contrast fluid in your joint. It won't hurt because they use a numbness liquid first ;) So be sure you are going to be in good hands :) Be sure to bring shorts and tank top. No metal. Not even your ring (I was able to feel something with it).
