While visiting Brussels a coworker highly recommended this Bavarian family ran restaurant to try…read more We were later informed it is the only Barbarian restaurant in Belgium. DECOR - As soon as we pulled up in the parking lot I was impressed with the layout and decor of the place. You could tell the building is well cared after. On the inside everything is beautifully decorated with floor to ceiling of wood. Great for groups, lots of space and a beer garden. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. The owner greets and spends time with customers through out the evening. Just a great vibe and most importantly an enjoyable evening. FOOD & DRINK - the menu has a great selection of fantastic beers and Bavarian food. Our picks were the sausages with kraut which was to die for. Two of us were not big on kraut but in this case cleaned the plate. For mains highly recommend the jäger schnitzel, the meatloaf and the cordon blue. For sides we had spatzel which is buttery pasta bits, potato dumpling which consisted of a fluffy starch ball, and traditional potato salad. The schnitzel was the best I've ever had and I've had my fair share of German food but Bavarian style takes the cake for me.

Adorable German restaurant! The parking isn't very big and we barely squeezed in tonight, but thank…read moreheavens we did. English translations on the menu were helpful. The meatloaf with potato salad and egg sunny side up was DELICIOUS! I was a little skeptical but it made my night. I'd definitely be back for more if I wasn't leaving for the states in a few more days.

With a name like Schnitzelparadies, this was the first place we came on our first night in Germany…read morefor schnitzel. It was good, but it did have a bit of a diner or iHop feel to it for atmosphere (acknowledging the American reference here). The staff was friendly by German standards. The food was basically good, fast, hot. If you need a menu in another language, just ask, they have several, and it was helpful for one that does not speak/ read German. The staff was very accommodating and spoke very good English which was so appreciated. For traditional schnitzel, you can pick your size (by weight) and your sauce (there are several). They also have several pre designated specialty schnitzels based on cultures. I got the traditional pepper sauce which was very good and my son got the "England" and was quite pleased with it. 200g size was plenty. Dishes come with a choice of potatoes that are unlimited refills, and each dinner comes with unlimited trips to the salad bar which is basic but has everything you need for a decent salad.

We visited Schnitzelparadies because of the great variety of Schnitzels. 50 different kinds!…read more Service was great. Fast and polite. Food was ok. I expected to be more delicious. I have ordered a Jäger Schnitzel and my partner a paper sauce one. Side dishes were also ok. Happy surprise to see that we had free french fries and salad refill if we wanted so. Ketchup on a small quantity was charged 0.75 Euros. Too much I think.

I couldn't speak a lick of Deutsch, aber ich könnte Essen genauso wie ein Chef bestellen! The quality of Peter's schnitzel really set the bar stratospherically high. In so doing, it also set me up for a perpetual string of schnitzappointments. During all of my travels in Germany, Peter's has served me the best schnitzel I have ever eaten. Ever. Hands down. No contest. I was addicted to their Schnitzel mit Champignons. Very lightly coated with flour. Extremely well seasoned. Tender yet crisp. Blanketed in a decadent cream sauce dappled with mushrooms. Mit pommes. MIT POMMES!! Möchtest du Mayo? Kein Problem!! Even the side salads were crazy lecker. Trust and believe! And the service was bar none, a-number-one, aces, tops, uzw. A friend and I once stayed there well after closing, killing bottle after bottle of Riesling, and the owner/manager continued serving us! Very rude of us for sure, but the staff were quite gracious despite our appalling lack of manners. Hey, we've all been there, so don't judge too harshly. Peter's certainly didn't. When I think of schnitzel, Peter's inevitably comes to mind, often times haunting me and taunting me in my dreams. And yet, no matter where I go -- even in Bayern where good food is the trademark, nothing comes close. Not even by a mile or a kilometer. And that's why I hate this place so soundly! I pine for the day that I return to Höngen and eat my body weight in schnitzel. Peter's schnitzel!

The Breakfast is very nice, good variety and much more than someone could eat in one sitting. I feel guilty with the amount of food I don't eat. The dinners are absolutely awesome. The schnitzel is the best I have had during my many months of work travel in Europe. Sofia is fantastic and made me feel at home the minute I checked in. Can't wait for dinner tonight!
