I got my nose pierced out of town a month ago. Unfortunately, I developed a bump around the piercing and looked terrible! Was researching credible piercing companies that specialized specifically in piercing and found this place on Google. I called and Ellie answered. This was my first time at the shop and I was referred by a friend because I wanted a tongue piercing but they said I didn't have the right anatomy and i took their word for it so I decided to look at the jewelry but was unaware that their jewelry is real gold which took me back because there are no prices displayed and the person who helped me pick out jewelry did not inform me, so after I ended up picking one septum hoop with nothing on it they swiftly told me my total was $200+ like it was nothing. I'm sorry but there should be a price conversation before even touring the jewelry because to be honest who has that kind of money to spend on a nose ring. Obviously I left empty handed. After a couple weeks I came back to get my labret repierced because previously it was done too low. My end goal was a hoop and I told the piercer that. Now let it be known I have 3 nostril piercings, a septum, tongue ring, Medusa, and 14 ear piercings and not once have I been told to lay fully on my back for a piercing except for nipples and a belly ring which is self explanatory. Now when they had me lay down on my back I was confused, but trusting, then when they did not mark the inside of my lip or use a clamp I was taken back but still trusting because surely such a place with fancy jewelry and a clean layout with nice people who are so educated on body modification had to of know what they were doing. Now let it be known you can relax the muscles in your lip at first but when someone is taking more than 5 seconds to get the needle through your lip you're reflexes are going to kick in and tense up no matter what you do. First time the needle when through it was crooked AS FUCK I kid you not facing a 45degree angle. She then explained to me that I moved my lip so that's why it was crooked. So they asked me if I wanted to take it out and let it heal so they we couple come back to it at a later date , or they can pierce me again coming through the same hole and then she proceeded to tell me that it won't hurt as much the second time because the hole is already there which now thinking back on that I know she was on bullshit because that makes no sense . At this point I am crying and I was not willing to make the drive back out to lee summit so I said fuck it and let her pierce me again. This time it once again took her forever to get the needle through and it came out crooked AGAIN. I knew it was crooked but I thought hey maybe no one will notice. Also I have an anxiety disorder so I started hyperventilating after she pierced it the second time and we had to take a break for her to get the ball on. They took off the charge for the piercing fee but it should've been free in my opinion after nearly throwing me into a panic attack. When I got home I inspected it more throughly and right off the bat I realized the problem was that she SHE CAME IN CROOKED. Now my teeth are pretty straight , I used to have braces and such and the piercing was nowhere close to centered, the woman had pierced me at a 45degree angle. There was literally a scar from my old labret that was centered CLEAR AS DAY, she could've easily pierced me above the scar but nah she decided to go off the the side. I came in 20 min before closing so I guess that was revenge . Maybe she had a long day and skipped procedure and protocol idk all I know if she fucked up my lip so now I don't just have one scar from before I have 3 because when I realized how negligent her actions when I took that jewelry out. Like I said I wanted a hoop and with that piercing a hoop would've been side ways in my lip. She should've owned up to her actions and been real before letting me walk out the door with a clearly fucked up piercing. Also most piercing places don't do piercing fees, the piercing jewelry is what you pay for, y'all's shit is already expensive asf, there's should be no reason why I should be paying $60for piercing jewelry and $30for you to pierce it plus a tip. BY THE WAY GO TO FREAKS ON BROADWAY , RONNIE AND PATRICK SPECIALIZE IN PIERCINGS AND WILL GET YOU RIGHT I WONT EVER CHEAT ON THEM AGAIN. read more

I went in to get my double helix piercing, but my piercer (Ryan) very kindly recommended that I get my conch done instead of my double helix because of my ear anatomy and the look I wanted. And I'm so glad he suggested that! I'm so happy with the way it turned out and I really appreciate him trying to make sure everything turned out perfectly. The facility and piercing rooms were very nice looking and clean without having an uncomfortably sterile look to them. Picking out the jewelry was also a really good experience. Remi helped me pick out my jewelry and she was awesome. They let you hold up different pieces to the piercing site so you really get a sense for how it'll look. Unlike my last piercing, I actually felt excited to have this one done. The lady at the front was so friendly and Ryan (who did my piercing) was fantastic. While in town during the Christmas break my daughter (17) wanted to get her tongue pierced. Radiance Piercing was recommended to us as a quality shop which may be able to take walk-in clients. I called first to verify they had space available. My call was quickly answered and as luck would have it, they did have room for us. The store was easy enough to locate in a small strip mall on hwy 291 in Lee's Summit (love my smart phone map!). As we walked into the store my first impression was it was impressively clean and organized. We were quickly greeted by the owner and an employee who welcomed us to the store. After choosing the desired bar for the piercing we were asked to fill out some paperwork and provide our ID's due to my daughter being under age. I was impressed to see the employees following regulations which to me indicated they did not cut corners for convenience. Once paperwork was finished we were escorted to a small room where the piercing was to be done. The room was clean and free of clutter, much like a doctor's exam room. The store owner explained the process to us and answered all of our questions. I made him aware that my daughter had gotten light headed on her last piercing (belly button). He appreciated the information and said he would give her extra time to recover in the room when finished. After explaining the process and preparing the equipment the piercing was done. He did an excellent job and my daughter said it was hardly any pain at all, hurting less than when her belly button was pierced. He explained the equipment he used to do the piercing was the sharpest and highest quality he could find which allowed for the easier piercing. He provided her a small bottle of water and monitored her while we talked, just to be sure she did not get light headed. He offered to allow us to stay in the room as long as she needed to recover which I felt was a true testament to the level of care he has for his customers. Before leaving we were provided paperwork which described proper care procedures, the piercer's name, and type of bar used. Overall we had a great experience and I was glad we followed the recommendation to use their services. I would highly recommend Radiance Piercing to anyone in the Kansas City area who is looking to get any piercings done, ears or otherwise. This store is not a "$20 piercing" shop, but you get what you pay for...high quality service and jewelry. read more

My piercings turned out beautifully. I got my second holes in my lobes done and my conch and the piercer Allen was amazing! I didn't like the counter person. I felt they were super patronizing and spoke to me like I was 5. I'm sure they get a lot of annoying people, but read the room. It was also way more than I had anticipated. They charge you 20 bucks for the backs of your earrings which is insane!! And they don't include it in the overall price when they tell you how much an earring costs. It doesn't come until the end when they add everything up. It took me off guard. Luckily I had budgeted for spending that much, but it was on the premise of getting more than the 3 piercings not because I had to pay for the backs of my earrings.
