I can only speak for piercings, but this shop is GREAT! I have visited twice now for a total of 3 piercings and each experience was quick, relatively painless, and sanitary. Lisa was a phenomenal piercer. I put off getting my conch pierced for 3 months thinking it would hurt, but finally caved and I wish I had gone in sooner! It was almost painless and has healed great along with my double helix! I will also add that piercings are only $20 and the wait isn't bad as long as you don't go on a weekend evening, of course. I've gone here for almost all of my 7 piercings and had great past experiences, but today was just awful. I went in with a good friend of mine to get a couple piercings done, and our piercer was entirely unprofessional. Her child was in the piercing room while my friend's NIPPLES WERE BEING PIERCED. She suggested that a tattoo artist WHO HAD NEVER PIERCED ANYONE BEFORE pierce one of her nipples. THEN, she screwed up my lip piercing, ended up having to stab it twice, and I was in blistering pain for about 2 mins straight. She was nice, but sheesh. He fucked up our Tattoos, we tried to go to him professionally and he got disrespectful. I asked for my money back and he said that's not how it works. He went on to tell me that he's not fixing our Tattoos and I'm not getting my money back. Then he went on to tell me to stop texting him. This place just needs to be shut down. Forgot to write a review. Got my belly button pierced by Jessi on 04/14/19. I don't know why so many people complain about here, it was a pleasant experience. This is my second piercing ever, just in time for my 21st birthday too. I will be returning to jessi for future piercings! She made sure i was informed on aftercare, and even answered the bazillion questions i had lol. I would recommend her. Just because you see a shitty review on here or Facebook or wherever, doesn't mean it's always 100% true. You have to really practice good hygiene when you get a piercing or tat. i decided to get my nose pierced here. i went to Shrunken Head because both my friends got theirs done here, so I assumed, perfect, i'll get mines here too! i pulled up with my boyfriend ready for my new piercing. of course the piercer and artists we're kind, they have to be lol. after i told her what i wanted she went to the back and started getting the tools ready. the placement was perfect, i really liked where it was at. when she pierced it though, there was a problem. the piercing she had was "too small" for my nose, and she literally fucking fumbled with it for the absolute longest, like bitch it hurts you can stop now. she looks at me and my boyfriend and says "we don't have any piercing that's going to fit your nose right now. all we have are small piercings." okay well, sis, if you're a tattoo and piercing shop, you're expected to have piercings of all sizes and i should've known then that this place was absolutely terrible. so she tells me, "i'm going to have to pierce your nose again and give you one of my OWN piercings that I have from home" omg ‍ she tells me, "just pick from the silver or green." literally two options were the silver bone or the green hoop. obviously, i chose the bone. so once she pierced me again, she sticks the bone into the tube and pushes it through my nose. literally, i hated this experience. the very next day, i find out the piercing she put in my nose was too fucking short! bitchhhhhh omfg. i did not pay you to fuck the piercing up twice lmao. hell no. so of course, i take myself to a different shop and this place, was so much more professional and the piercer talked to me the whole way and explained everything and it was such a better experience. he was so realistic and we had a conversation about piercings. i got my nose pierced again for the third time, and this place, gave me an L- shape with plenty of space for swelling and healing, which Shrunken Head did not do. they just stuck a bone in my nose and said, "there bitch, now give me the money." honestly, Shrunken Head piercings are NOT worth it. they charge cheap because they pierce cheap. point blank period. you can find better quality elsewhere. and i wish i realized that sooner. thank you for coming to my tedtalk :) have a blessed day. read more

God awful place. My friend and I went here and David was awful. He was rude. Both our tattoos got infected despite us both taking good care of them and this wasn't either of our's first tattoos. We know how to properly take care of tattoos. David buzzed my arm lower down because he wasn't careful. And after we finished and went home, we realized he didn't wash his hands between us. I'm not sure if he did any sanitizing at all. I called the owner to tell him mine was infected. He said it was just taking longer to heal. I told him my doctor said it was infected. He said well the doctor is wrong. He said the doctor doesn't know tattoos and doesn't know anything. After I left a review on their Facebook they deleted it. A friend of mine got her daughter's names written on her arms yesterday. She was charged $200 and the penmanship is absolute shit. It is barely legible, the lines are far from straight, and there is no artistic craftsmanship to the piece at all. The so called "artist" clearly needs to go back to his apprenticeship as they are nowhere near ready to be charging for their work. What should have been the most important tattoos of her life have been turned into a hard lesson about researching tattoo shops before going to them. Got a diath a few days ago, and my sister in law her nose. They were quick and clean. In and out in about 30min.

I have gone here twice to get piercings specifically because they do $20 anything above the waste. First I had my belly button done. It went well and healed well, but it is not pierced directly centered. Second, I got my septum done. It is also crooked. I have a lot of fat in my septum so it was hard to pierce straight. I went in the day after because of how crooked it was, and she didnt ask any questions. She repierced it happily to try to get it more straight (informing me that the fat in my nose may make it crooked) but also telling me that she can fix it by gauging it up a size and back down. She even offered do it for me once it wasnt sore anymore. I will go back, and I will recommend because they are nice and they like to make their customers happy. Plus the price is great read more

I went to get a tattoo and a piercing and the piercer was amazing 10/10. But the tattoo artist was tattooing my butt and answered his phone mid tat, he then proceeded to talk to his buddy how he was tattooing an "ass cheek" and then said "no shes not that bad looking". I got my lip pierced here about 9 months ago, and my naval 4 months ago. Both were very well done, quick, easy, clean. I love the piercing lady here (I feel bad I forgot her name). My lip bled a little bit and bruised for about 3-4 days. The swelling went down after about 5 days though. It's all healed and perfectly fine. She was very nice and quick about it, even gave me a free stud that I could change when it was healed so it would fit my lip better, since the one that I was pierced with was too big. My naval piercing was so fast and easy. It didn't bleed at all, it was pierced centered, and was totally pain-free! Easy healing, although it did migrate about a millimeter to the left, but its not too noticeable and I'm not complaining, that's not the piercers fault, it's the way your body reacts to foreign objects in your body. I would definitely recommend Shrunken Head for piercings. They're quick, easy, and cheap ($20 for above waist piercing, but if you're planning on getting a nipple piercing, you better hope you don't scream. They have a rule there that if you scream during a nipple piercing, they'll charge you an extra $10 for disturbance and safety hazards for ears) Now for tattoos, you better do your research. I don't have any tattoos but I am getting my first one in 5 days. I do not plan on going to Shrunken Head for this though. I've heard many bad reviews on their service and quality or ink. But if you're looking for a good piercing that isn't super expensive, Shrunken Head is the place for you. :) read more

First off when a customer walks into your establishment try and at least look professional and greet them , not slouched , no smile, no friendly greet , barley acknowledging them. We asked if they had my sisters name on file still and the girl at the front desk actually fixed her mouth to say "there's no way I'm looking through all these papers " , like really? Who tells that to a customer? b*tch that's your job. What tattoo/piercing establishment doesn't keep previous customers on file in case they want to return ? Invest in software that allows you to . We thought we'd give this place another shot seeing as our last visit there wasn't even a piercer in the shop , how? when your supposed to be a tattoo/ PIERCING shop. Ok I have 3 daughters and 2 sleeves these pos ink junkies thought it would be cool to pierce my 15 year old w/o my consent and give my 19 year old a 3 hour sitting first tattoo and send her on her way without any aftercare advice much less ointment or written directions as a first big piece leaves a kid a little weak and not thinking real straight! this is the worst place i've ever gotten a piercing at. here's the run down. so, i went in for a belly button piercing, and the first time i went in, i didn't have my birth certificate, and they were extremely rude about telling me their procedures. so we left. i went back about a week after and got it done. they were pretty nice, but after i got it done, it would not stop bleeding. it was really painful and extremely crooked. it was bleeding so bad it made a huge stain all over my shirt. after about a week of cleaning it twice a day like they told me, and keeping it as clean as possible, it started to bruise and get extremely infected. my mom looked at it, and they didn't even pierce my actual belly button. hard to explain, but basically they pierced it extremely wrong, and was so far above my belly button. so basically a huge piece of my skin fell off, and now i have a weird spot on my stomach that hasn't gone away after months. i called and asked for info on how to fix it and she said " you didn't take care of it correctly. that's your own problem. only thing we can do for you is look at it, and doctors can't do anything for it". well... here's what it looks like after months. read more

So I've been getting all my piercings from here because it was only $20 and I like to save a few bucks. None of my piercings have been bad so far, but yesterday I got my medusa and septum pierced. I had a bad feeling in my stomach as soon as I walked in, but ignored it. I knew that everyone has been turning against shrunkin head recently because of bad quality. But I only had $40 and was too impatient. The piercer pierced my septum too high and she went too slow so I had to feel it go through every layer. She got the placement of my medusa right, but again she went through very slowly. When she finished, I was on my way out when the ball on my septum fell off so I went back and she put it back on and told me she tightened both sides. Things were okay until the end of the second day, when the same ball fell off my septum again, I tried to put it back on but the jewelry was too small so I couldn't get it. While in the process of putting the ball back on, the second ball fell off. I ended up losing one while I was trying to put it back on. Now I'm left with a circular barbell in my septum that was too small to start with, and it has no balls. I'm very dissatisfied. read more
