Nate Stewart is an addict that charges full prices for cancellations. I had a family emergency and had to cancel two hrs before my appointment. Next thing I know, I'm charged $900 for services I never received. I came to get a tattoo while I was visiting a friend in Kansas City. she had been previously tattooed by Anya. We were both tattooed by Scott and had a great experience. He was extremely friendly and the shop was clean. they had social distancing practices in place so only a couple people were allowed in the parlor at a time. My friend had to wait outside while I got tattooed. Original review: I love my tattoos and I would absolutely come back if I'm back in town. The pricing was also very reasonable. Thank you guys! Unfortunately I am updating my review. I'm sad that I'm doing this because I had a good experience initially, but my tattoos have healed very unevenly and i am pretty upset because my artist tattooed over scars without giving me any idea of how to take care of a tattoo that goes over scars, so i had what looked like an open cut on the straight line of my tattoo that crossed over the old scars. it took much longer to heal than any other tattoo i've had (i have 2 tattoos from other shops and i got three at this shop) i got two small tattoos above my knee that were meant to be circular but healed VERY unevenly. the tattoo i got on my arm is also uneven, though when it was first done it seemed like an even straight line, but the ink bled a bit where i have a decent amount of faded scars and is spotty where i didn't have scars. my knees are also very spotty. i'm probably going to get some sort of touch up or cover up piece, which is super disappointing because i loved the fresh ink at first. I will say, my friend's tattoos (she got the same smiley and frowny face but on her ankles) healed well and she's very happy with them. read more

This review is for one of the Tattoo artists not so much the tatttoo shop (I've never been to it!) Richard Dean is my tattoo artist in Chicago. I was bummed when I found out he was moving away to Kansa City but the people there have gained a great artist. Rich did my first tattoo and to this day he is the only artist I go to. Rich does amazing traditional tattoos with bold clean lines and great color schemes. His designs are unique and I have a great amount of confidence in them. Whenever I want to get tattooed now I tell him what two or three things I am looking for and let him do his thing, the trust I place in him is worth it. If you are looking to get tattooed and you want tattoos that will heal exceptionally and that turn heads, Richard is your guy. Annoyed I got my nose pierced there over 4 months ago its completely healed. Made an appt online to get it changed out to a hoop. Went there and was told they won't change it to a hoop for two more months. She didn't look at it to see if it was healed nothing. First backstory i had it pierced for 5 years and let it close up and so this was just re-piercing it in the same hole i already had. AND ITS BEEN OVER 4 MONTHS. Mainly i am just annoyed that I wasted my time going up there for them not to even look at it and change it out. read more

It's a nice shop and I had heard nothing but good things about this place, but I was not impressed with Bleeding Heart at all. They rushed through my boyfriend's tattoo. The line work was subpar and off in a few places. I got my belly button pierced the same night. $100 for the piercing, he took maybe 30 seconds, didn't explain what he was doing or show me a clean needle, and didn't bother explaining how to take care of it. I won't ever go to Bleeding Heart for a tattoo after seeing my boyfriend's, and I'll stick to Weirdo's for my piercings- they're far more professional, not to mention about half the price. read more

Amazing place! I'm so glad I chose to get my nose pierced here. I was really skeptical about getting it done after watching so many poor nose Piercings on YouTube. But let me tell you, Jared will take care of you 100% Super friendly guy EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and he does not mess around when it comes to sterilization!
