In November, 2024 I received a CT scan at Silverton Hospital (Ore) for a potential kidney stone. Our insurance bills $50 for a hospital visit which we paid, assuming from a previous CT scan, it was settled. Several months went by when we received a bill via email for $500 from a company we'd never heard of. Took a bit of research to discover that the Nov CT scan was not by hospital staff but farmed out to a company called Radia. Contacted Providence (our insurance) and were informed that they had paid Radia. Another couple months went by with another emailed bill for $500 from Radia. Again Providence assured us the bill was paid. Another couple months and we received a US mailed $500 bill with the threat of a collection agency if not paid. After a series of phone calls, with no help from Radia billing dept., Providence contacted Radia and verified that the bill had been paid and the latest billing could be ignored. Fingers crossed. There customer service representative are very rude. They gave me wrong information that I requested. Had to call back twice. Still have not received the information I requested. Then I wanted to do the survey at the end of the the phone call but the customer service representative hung up on me. I called corporate office to complain, no one answered the phone. I had to leave a voice mail. But as always no one called me back. Horrible customer service and a horrible place. And they wonder what's going on with the medical field. read more

I have been fighting with Radia billing for about 4 months now about my bill that would have been paid if they billed Medicare correctly , They keep billing it as a routine Echo Exam and Medicare refuses to pay them because of their routine code. Medicare paid for the echo gram BUT wont pay for this Radia company to read it. I have spent hrs on the phone with them, have gone to the hospital billing debt several times and have talked to Medicare more then 3 times BUT Radia sticks by their code of a random procedure. Any more x ray type procedures will NOT be by a company that lets Radia read their x rays even if I have to drive a hour to them. Radia is the worst ever company I have delt with and this is not the first time I have had issues with them. They do NOT even deserve 1 star but had no choice !! read more

I had diagnostic imaging November 2023 at Overlake Hospital. I had no idea who processes the imaging. Today I get a call from a collection agency saying Radia sent my balance to collections for non payment. Of course, the agent was rude, condescending and aggressive. I racked my brain on how I could have missed a statement or not made payments? I save my medical statements and my check stubs. Looking everywhere I cannot find a statement or an email from Radia. I called them. They claim they sent 3 statements to my address! And sent a text. They did not send anything by mail and I save my texts for a year. Nothing from Radia. Gaslighted on the phone that they had sent communication which they did not. Looked online-lo and behold, common complaint with BBB is my same issue. And on YELP. Here I am adding to it. read more

Radia is an extension of Kaiser's WA broken system. Since Kaiser does not have a hospital of their own they farm out treatments to Swedish Hospital who in return farm procedures out to Radia. Now, I've been receiving mysterious text messages from Radia saying that I owe them money. Not knowing who Radia was and not going to give all of my personal information just to some random text message I called their main office. Sadly to say they system put me on indefinite hold. I tried calling several number to reach a live person and only to be place on indefinite hold. After hours of trying to reach a live person I finally got someone. I told the person that I was receiving text messages from them and asked if they were legit. The person on the phone fell to a dead silence and refuse to answer my question. I asked her if I owed anything and the person started to get very rude. She finally looked up my account and said that I had a $0.00 balance. She also stated that's I was going to receive bills for $0.00 until Kaiser finished up the claim. Kaiser really need their own hospital so patient don't have to use these fly by nights third or forth party clinics. read more

Also they could have called me, since the collection agency got ahold of me on their first try by using my cell number which they got from Radia, so why would they try that prior to send to collection?. They sent us to collections while we were making payments. I have been keeping meticulous records of the dozens of calls I had to make over the past 6 months and spoken to several managers: Roshana, Jamie, Kiara, Gayle, Ashley, Michelle, Gwen, Shaquita (*sp), and they have been unable to get the account back from collections; it keeps getting "denied" even through it was their mistake to send it to collections in the first place. All the supervisors told me I had to wait for the account t be pulled form Collections, but on 5/27/21, I was told by Gwen (also a supervisor), that I could just send a check to settle the account, so I sent the payment via my Online Banking because I want to have full proof that I did. I included all the information Gwen told me to include, account #, name, etc. Weeks later the bank returns the money to my account because the check was returned to them. So I call again, and after 20 min on hold to be connected to a regular service rep, I am put on hold for another 45 min until I finally get connected to the supervisor (Shaquita *sp), she says I can just pay over the phone so she puts me through the payment system only to get a message that says: "the account has $0 balance, goodbye", and then I get disconnected. Really? I called again and after the standard 40 to 60 min wait I was conected to another manager (male), he starts taking the information (account #) and as I start explaining what's going on, we get disconnected.... I would be willing to bet he hung up on me. The issue is still unresolved and I write this as I am on hold once again to try to fix it. I dealt with plenty of medical billing issues but this is by far the most incompetent team/system I have ever dealt with. The absolute most frustrating experience and I would advice anyone to get their services somewhere else. read more

I have no choice on who reads my MRI's or any other imaging I have to have done annually. I have at least 2 images done a year and every time it is billed to my primary and secondary insurance. Secondary is Medicare (primary is not a supplemental Medicare insurance), and I always get an EOB from both. Medicare's EOB will show "maximum you may be billed $0" and I always, every time get a bill for the portion that my primary insurance doesn't cover, but my secondary has either paid more or says that my primary has paid more than the allowable Medicare amount and I can not be billed. In 10 years, I have spoken to lawyers and they are always willing to take a case, as long as I have exhausted my time to make this correct. I have also filled Medicare fraud under the "violation of provider for Medicare assignment", but that doesn't effect the company it only adds violations to the reading radiologist medical license. In my opinion that's not fair, but then again if they are willing to work for a crypt greedy business, that's on them. I have even mailed in my EOB that states "maximum you can be billed is $0" and I still get bills the following month. I shouldn't have to waste my time and energy on paperwork that has already been received from my insurance providers. If I had a choice, I would not let them read my images. read more

Got a bill for an x-ray that was done end of June 2023 only to get my first bill on 10/23/23 indicating I needed to pay to stop collections. FOH. When I tried to pay it online the billing page they listed on my bill doesn't have enough sections for the stated account number. So, I went to the main page to look it up because that did have enough space to input the last two letters listed as my account but it didn't recognize the account or birthday so I tried different birthdays even though I know the birthday of the main account holder. But it locked me out for too many attempts. Then asked for a code to be texted that never came to be able to find my account that way. I finally just called to make an automatic payment and by some miracle that worked. I initially tried to call but they close at 4 pm!!!! If they really did send this to collections, I feel like there has to be a class action lawsuit potential here based on others' similar experiences. I will be absolutely read to file one myself if my credit score is even remotely impact by as much as a point. read more

Got a past due bill from the billing department for several CT scans I had two months after my ER visit and everything was already paid for by my insurance, they said they sent it to my insurance twice and never heard back, but on their "bill" to me it said that one scan was pending insurance authorization and the other two were denied, so I ended up with an additional surprise bill of $800. I spend close to an hour on the telephone with my insurance (who has never seen anything from them but has documentation of payment for the scans covered in my hospital visit) they say they will have everything cleared up in 30-45 business days. I don't know who they are or why they billed me, but this wreaks of a scam and fraudulent behavior. Also, the better business bureau website is full of more one-star reviews, I had plenty of time to browse while my insurance agent was mashing out the problems in their billing department and ghost claims. If you have the choice avoid like the plague. read more

The billing group associated with Seattle Radiology-Radia Imaging Center sent my account to collections for a balance owed WHILE IT WAS ACTIVELY BEING PAID AND WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE OF ACTION. They have acknowledged the error but I lack confidence that this will be easy to resolve. I will not use Seattle Radiology's services again on this basis. The clinical services are not the issue. While Dr. Vogelzang is technically competent at his job, he simply doesn't care how much pain he's causing you. My procedure was supposed to have IV anesthesia - I kept waiting for it to have an effect - ANY effect. Waited in vain, then started screaming when he went ahead with the local injections. It's a shame you have to give at least 1 star in order to review. I had some knee xrays and a chest xray done at my local hospital on the Olympic Peninsula. I'm always prompt with paying bills and had a credit score of 820. The x-rays were done at different times and they were sent to this fly-by-night outfit for a shitty analysis. One day I get a bill from these morons for less than $7 with a threatening note they were going to send it to the collection agency. WTF? I had received no indication of a bill prior to that. They noted the most recent chest x-ray work and then a couple of dollars for the knee xrays from 6 months earlier. I paid them immediately and indicated my displeasure as for the first bill being a threatening one. I meant to call them and give them hell for that. Now suddenly my credit score lost 20 points. I checked my credit reports - nothing. It's bugged me so I suddenly remembered these asses sending me a threatening first bill. They will be getting a phone call tomorrow. Though it's hardly a surprise when I found they were associated with Evergreen. The only other dealings I had with Evergreen was when I lived in Seattle and they charged for a hospital fee when I went into a 15 minute appointment with a PA. I called my insurance company about it. They noted that the billing had overcharged me and told me I could issue a complaint with the insurance company about the provider, Evergreen, which I did. Almost a year later, they reimbursed me the $25 they overcharged me for. I'd actually forgotten about it before they reimbursed it to me. For any future x-rays, I will be sure not to be using their analysis. The radiologists for the services mentioned here are locals and their bill came in pretty promptly, but they sent the pics to this organization for analysis. This review is strictly for Radii and not for the referring health center. Its a pain because it means I'll have to look for some services in other places that are further from my house to avoid these morons. read more

The only reason I have one star is because I could not post without it. I had an mri and was trying to pay for it the day it was done but nobody was able to take my payment. Long story short a couple small payments were made and the balance of $300 or so had been forgotten by me. One day I remembered so I contacted them and set up a auto deduct from my checking account. Only I never noticed that they were not taking the monthly payments out. I just realized it and it has been several months since that was set up. They sent me to collections!!!! I have worked my a-- off trying to build up my credit for the past two years and they sent me to collections stating they tried getting ahold of me several time. That is an outright lie. I never missed a call from them, got any messages from them nor any email or mail. The reason for the change is that they have gone out of their way to take that back from the provider (even though I immediately paid that in full to the provider) and allow me to resume the payment plan. This is something they did not have to do so thank you very much for that. Now I am just hoping that the funds that were used to pay that off are on record and I will be back in good standing with them. read more

We were referred here by our Midwives (Cascade Birth Center) to have a gender ultrasound. They were really nice and even called us to offer an earlier appointment when one was available. We got some great pictures, and they gave us a disc with the photos and 2 short videos of the baby moving! Ultrasound pictures are one thing but having videos of him moving is a really cool memory to have. Thanks Radia! read more

I am only rating a 2 bc I do not have a complaint about any of the Radia Providers that have evaluated any of my imaging. However, there billing dept is an absolute disaster. I had a visit to the ED in feb 2020 and received a bill from Radia a few months later for $776 -I paid this in 4 payments prior to ever receiving a " final notice". I then received a final notice for a balance due. When I called I was out walking but was told by an employee I owed another $100. Not wanting to ruin my stellar credit I paid it by credit card over the phone. Not having the acct in front of me . After reviewing realized that I had overpaid by $100. Have been doing battle with them ever since to get refund to my credit card for $100 (the rest was paid out of an HSA acct. Next time I guess I will just wait until I receive a final notice before I pay the bill, after my HSA has accumulated the funds. Receiving more than one payment is WAY too much for them to handle. I thought I was being kind in try to pay them as much as I could as soon as I could - don't bother doing that !! And I will never make a payment to them again without demanding a receipt . I don't know that I will ever receive the refund from them . But I will let as many people know as possible to be very careful in how you deal with their billing dept. I think bc they seem to feel they have a monopoly they don't need to treat people with any respect. This is not my first unpleasant experience with their billing dept. read more

This is a review of their billing. They have a ridiculous billing system. Their billing practice does not match their account history or Automated account management system. I just happened to look at my account history. I saw that some bill had gone to collections,when I did not even receive a bill. I called them, and they were adamant that they had sent a bill. I called the collections agency, and the agency did not have my record. After calling repeatedly, them finally admitted that they did not send me or the collections agency my record and that they had written off the amount as it was less than $10. I got a bill of 12$, I paid online through my HSA account at Jan 2017. and the HSA account show that it is paid and cleared. However, a few month later, I received a collect letter asking for 12$. And the funny thing is that the company did not send me any follow up bill showing I have a balance due. They just went straight to the collector, what a joke customer service. I had 'round one' with Radia in June 2012 after having ultrasounds/CT scans after suffering an intestinal rupture. I agree that their billing is a joke. I received threatening phone calls re; collections before I ever received a bill from them. How can I be late on paying for something I never received a bill for? Neither of my insurances had time to respond to their billing before they began calling me. I paid in full just to get them off of my back. They were paid in on June 12th by both of my insurance companies. I received a refund check on Feb 2nd of this year. 'Round two' started today when they began pulling the same stunt with my 73 year old mother. She had services on May 7th, and they are telling her she is going to be sent to collections if she doesn't pay now. She hasn't received a single statement with explanation of benefits/coverage/co-pays from Radia. And here they are threatening collections. I wish they weren't the only game in town, but they seem to have a strong-hold on imaging services in the area. When calling their automated service it consistently says that my husband's balance is -0- however I got bills. When I talked to a person I was told that there was a balance but if I gave her his death certificate it would be written off. When I got another bill the next person told me it was a Dr's billing error, no problem the bill was totally forgiven and do not worry. Today I got a notice from a collection agency. When I called Radia I was told they can't write the bill off and no explanation for why they would not have talked to me about the situation before sending it to collection. I have provided correct billing information to Radia probably seven times since the bill first came in. Both online and through regular mail. My inquiries have gone unanswered, Radia billed my old insurance (which I haven't had in six months) DESPITE providing the correct current insurance and telling them multiple times that old insurance is not to be billed. Radia billed my old insurance anyway, I got paperwork from previous insurance asking me why they were being billed and of course denying everything, and Radia never billed the correct insurance. I even obtained a letter from the health plan administrator to CONFIRM my coverage, with her name, title and direct phone number for Radia to contact in case they were questions. Everything went into a black hole. I've sent communications pretty much monthly. They put me through collections. I just filed a BBB complaint. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The billing for this company is an absolute joke!! I wish I would have seen Gene's review before I went there for my MRI. From the very beginning when I first got the MRI done I had trouble with their billing system. I had yet to receive a bill from them early on in the billing cycle and yet they said I was 60 days past due when I finally got the first bill. I had a second part of the procedure done a month after the first procedure which later found out wasn't covered by my insurance. I received the rest of the bill in November, which I paid in full in NOVEMBER. I received another bill shortly after showing that I have a bill due, I called radia and spoke with a guy who tried to tell me that I never paid part of the bill (that I paid in NOVEMBER), even though they deducted it from my bank account. I am very diligent with paying all my bills on time. I received a notice February 26th from a Collections office saying that a bill was sent to them because it was over 120 days late. I called Radia's billing office to clear things up and find out why they had sent me to collections before they had even notified me that there was a late bill. They told me that they had sent out notices for the bill but yet I had not received any further notices since November. I told the gal that I spoke to that I wanted to get this immediately cleared up (even though I had a feeling that I had paid this bill in full back in November. I knew this because the amount owed to collections was the same amount that Radia had already deducted from my bank account) As I was getting ready to pay the bill over the phone, the lady came back after double checking some things on the account and said that this bill was paid in full in November and was never posted to my account. They sent me to collections due to the fact that they made a mistake and processed my payment without posting it to my account. SHAME ON THEM!!! Why would you affect a patients credit in a negative manner, for a mistake that your company has made. This is by far the worst example of billing and collections I have ever experienced and I would caution anyone who is considering receiving treatment from this office! read more
