Now I was the first person in so I can't speak to the wait times but they got me back immediately with a nurse practitioner named "Netta" who was an absolute rockstar! She had amazing bedside manner, was super empathetic, knowledgeable, made me feel my concerns were all heard and cared for. I haven't received this level of total care in a LONG TIME! The front desk lady was super nice and helpful as well. She is a bright star in a world of dull providers. This was my first 5 star experience at an urgent care clinic.

I was hoping for a different outcome but I have to respect their honesty. In long A scrape on my leg had gotten infected, so I was hoping to get an Rx for some antibiotics and hurry home for the Hawks game. They checked me in in minutes, and found my insurance that had just taken effect a couple days earlier. Nice! The system texted me some info to fill out, and she told me it would list me as being seen in about 25 minutes, but it would be much sooner. The PA came out within 60 seconds to say that they didn't house one piece of equipment I'd need as part of a full eval, and I should go around the corner to the ER. He definitely felt bad delivering this news, and explained it even more thoroughly than he really needed to. I got it right away. He was quick to say that they would cancel the visit and not charge me. Even though I ended up missing the whole game, he was spot-on about what the ER would do to evaluate the infection. I got great care there, thankfully much of it in front of a fuzzy, dim TV showing the game. So I can't really complain about anything other than my own procrastination for leaving the trip until late afternoon.

This is the failure of the facility and the staff. Why should this be the patient's responsibility as an aid to help the situation? It should not! A couple of them didn't have any identification (my name) and they weren't even stapled together. I filled them out and sat down. At 10:36 I was told they were running late and it would be ten more minutes. At 10:48 I went back to the counter where the two girls were having a personal conversation and ignored me. I broke in and asked what was causing the delay. One of them said there was a problem with the patient, said she would check to see how things were going. In a few minutes, she returned and said very perkily, "OK, here" and handed me something which I thought might be a medical I.D. It was a Starbucks gift card! Then the other girl opened the door to the back room, stood in the doorway and looked back and forth between me and whatever was back there. Then I heard "I'd like to say five more minutes, but . . ." Next I was told to come to the back and ended up in another waiting room. A woman was sitting there, so I asked her if things were always this unorganized. She told me she had brought her grandson in to have his left leg x-rayed and they wanted to x-ray the right leg instead. That was all I needed to hear and I left immediately. Beware! Give yourself a few extra minutes in case you need to park in the garage and walk a little bit (it's not far). It doesn't take a year to get an appointment; they were able to schedule me about 5 weeks out, which is very good these days. Overall, I'm very happy with this facility. They are very thorough and explain things well.

    I was a bit wary about being scheduled an ultrasound here with the wide spectrum of Yelp posts,…read moreboth good and very bad. However, speaking from my personal experience, this went well. From the phone scheduling after my physician's referral (9/19/24), to check-in at reception and pleasant waiting room with classical music (9/26/24). The ultrasound tech who showed me the dressing rooms, the secure lockers to stow clothing & valuables, and who performed the ultrasound was very nice, professional and thorough. Added plusses were warmed exam smock, clean washcloths/linen, and ultrasound gel. I was expecting discomfort, but she was able to get the images needed without pain. She had them reviewed by another physician onsite. This resulted in additional images, further examination, and then at the end was provided feedback about the results. The final report will be sent to my physician. She also provided me with a personal referral to another specialist who could help alleviate my current situation. Pro tips: *schedule as early in the morning as possible to give time with the commute and have parking availability. *do not use any lotion, powder, deodorant, or excessive fragrance prior to the scheduled exam. *both me and the ultrasound tech both wore masks, especially with cold, flu, Covid season. I will have to get an additional MRI despite today's ultrasound and speaking from my own specific outcome. Now armed with two doctor referrals, maybe my insurance (that I pay out of pocket for) will actual listen to both medical professionals versus flat out denying the diagnostic requests. Always be your own strong advocate! Medical exams and tests are important. As a Yelp Elite reviewer and two time cancer warrior, take this seriously.
