I have written a perfect, glowing review of Dr. Poddatoori ten times, twenty times, in my head over…read morethe years. Why I have not actually written a review on Yelp, can only be attributable to the fact that Dr. Poddatoori helped bring my perfect baby into the world, and he has made me busier than I once was! Dr. Poddatoori is a rare gem - she is relatable and friendly, yet knowledgeable, whip-smart, and dives into difficult situations when they arise. I have heard a few people (and now read one as well) who have complained because they have to wait to see her. In my very humble opinion: this is your prenatal care. We are busy mommas-to-be, I totally get that. But when you only have one prenatal appointment per month, budget some time for *yourself." Sit in her comfortable waiting room, watch the babies walk by, catch up on emails, your pregnancy apps, pay bills online, etc. The facility comes equipped with wifi, and there are zillions of things you can do to spend some time relaxing and/or catching up on whatever you might need to do. If all else fails, and if Dr. Poddatoori happens to be late, consider yourself very lucky. You are about to see a doctor who actually gives a shit about her patients. Pardon me for being frank, but most of our appointments are very simple check ins. Sure, we feel important, but in the grand scheme of things, let's not take ourselves too seriously! However, If you ever find yourself in an emergency - if your pregnancy is in jeopardy - don't you want a doctor who doesn't rush through your care just so they can stay perfectly on schedule? The medical industry sees emergencies from time to time. Dr. Poddatoori has helped me through several very sensitive, urgent situations, and she does not limit me to the time I have scheduled with her. With one situation in particular, she took after-hours time, including time when she was on a well-deserved vacation with her family, to monitor my care, check in with me, and ultimately, ensure that my precious (now 16 month old) was okay. In short, I just don't have patience for people who ding a doctor for doing their job. Life doesn't fit into a 15 minute slot, and I think that is especially true with pregnancy. Dr. Poddotoori performed an Essure procedure for me many years back (non-judgmentally I might add), she then helped me during my IVF processes when I changed my mind and decided motherhood really was for me, took excellent care of me during my high-risk pregnancy, and ultimately, delivered my son with the utmost fragility and strength, all at the same time. I have the absolute fondest memories of the day that my son was born, and Dr. Poddatoori made sure our delivery was intentional, fun, sweet, and ultimately, safe. I am now pregnant with another baby through IVF, and I could not be luckier to have Dr. Poddatoori by my literal side. I think this must be a tough job, and from one hard working mom to another, I truly appreciate that mothers/professionals like Dr. Poddatoori stick with their profession, through thick and thin.

I strongly recommend avoiding Dr. Vineela Poddatoori. My family's experience with her was…read moreunacceptable and deeply disappointing. From the start, she was dismissive, rushed, and acted as if a C-section was the only solution. She came into our room without even checking the progress of my wife's labor, mentioning she had another emergency, and tried to push for surgery without properly evaluating the situation. When my wife was in serious pain during contractions, instead of supporting her, Dr. Poddatoori suggested lowering the epidural dose, which was shocking and completely insensitive. Even some of the nurses quietly mentioned to us that they have heard many complaints about her from other patients, which only confirmed what we were experiencing. Thankfully, I made the wise decision to request another provider's opinion. That doctor immediately reassured us that a C-section was not needed and allowed labor to continue naturally. My wife was able to deliver normally, proving how unnecessary Dr. Poddatoori's pressure for surgery was. No one should have to go through that kind of careless, rushed, and insensitive care -- especially during childbirth. For the safety and peace of mind of other families, I would strongly advise looking for another physician.

She could see I was somewhat panicking and she just made me feel worse. I can instantly see why she is so highly recommended. She not only does the work, but you can genuinely tell that she loves what she does. At every visit, she came in fully prepared. Even if the waiting room was full, she never made me feel rushed. She always took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and honestly. She never overpromised, and her down-to-earth nature made me feel like I was talking to someone I had known and trusted my entire life. While we had planned for a c-section (as my first two pregnancies were), my baby decided to arrive earlier than expected. By sheer luck, Dr. Nseyo was on call that day. She never pushed her medical opinion on my husband and me but instead provided the information we needed, respected our decisions, and guided us with compassion and clarity. In the operating room, she made me feel safe, supported, and truly heard. That care has continued in my postpartum visits. She listens attentively and responds with empathy and sincerity every single time. I would and will recommend Dr. Nseyo at every opportunity. She is truly a gem in her field, and I am beyond grateful to have had her as my doctor during this journey.

I found her through my insurance website, and chose the Greenbrae location as they had earlier appointments. The SF office was booked up for a couple of months, and I got into this location in a couple of weeks. I didn't catch the name of her assistant, but she was super sweet too. She took my stats and set me up for the online health portal and explained how it works. Super convenient to be able to get test results and email your doc, she also mentioned that the docs are pretty obsessive about replying to email so that is great. They have an app as well. Ok, about Dr. Monardo. I experienced childhood sexual abuse and so these appts. are really nerve-wracking. Dr. Monardo chatted with me, and I felt like she genuinely wanted to know me. She was also really kind and patient about my fears, and I could tell she felt genuine empathy for what I've experienced. I've seen other doctors who just didn't care, so it's great to know there are empathetic ob-gyn's out there. She walked through my questionnaire and dug into some family history, she also chatted about what I wanted (the dreaded baby question) and that was really nice to have her take the time to ask those questions. The exam went as most exams do, I mean they are never fun, but she was quick about it and talked me through everything. Once finished, I had to have blood drawn and that was also pretty quick and painless. We also talked about birth control options and she gave me good advice. All in all, probably the best ob-gyn experience and I really feel like Dr. Monardo wants to partner with me in making the best decisions for my body. You can't take that for granted these days! ^Parking: they have a lot, and a small garage. There is quite a bit of traffic on this road too, so watch out for that when exiting. ^Building: the Greenbrae building reminds me of an old 80s soap opera set. Just go up to the 2nd floor and suite 220 is to your right. Everything is well-marked. ^Waiting Room: Small collection of magazines, but they had some weekly tabloids which I dug into because I rarely get to read those. Standard chairs and reception area. It was funny to see all these men with their partners, I love seeing that type of support. ^Staff: everyone was so lovely to me from the reception area to the bloodwork! Genuine smiles and conversations.

The first OB I saw about my condition, nurse practitioner Modell on 2/2/16, dismissed my concerns and did not even examine me thoroughly to make a proper diagnosis. I suspected vulvar varicosities and had to make an extra appointment on 2/8 to try to find out what was going on. Dr. Honeggar saw me and was able to confirm my suspicions, but could not recommend any treatments other than a support belt and Tylenol. I requested phlebotonics, which I hard read about in a French research paper, but she could not help me with this. Dr. Honeggar recommended that I see Dr. Foley, who would know more about my condition, so I made this request. Dr. Foley took special time out of her busy schedule to see me on 2/24. I got some additional recommendations for treating my condition and more compassionate care than I had previously received. Importantly, she checked my veins for thrombosis. Throughout this ordeal, Dr. Foley is one of the few OBs who showed empathy for my condition. While the other OBs often dismissed my pain as mere "discomfort," she understood the severity of it, and helped me with additional pain management options and prescribed an early epidural for my labor and delivery.
