I highly recommend Dr. Cheruba Prabakar…read more Over the last two years, she has helped me navigate everything from future fertility decisions after having three children, to breast cancer risk given my family history, to now exploring hormone replacement therapy and all of the nuances that come with it. What I appreciate most is that she takes the time to look at the whole picture. When needed, she's connected me with other specialists and helped me build the right team so I could make informed decisions with confidence. I've sought information through various third-party women's health companies, but none have come close to the depth, thoughtfulness, and individualized care that Dr. Prabakar provides. I'm learning that HRT is rarely straightforward, and what will set her apart is how carefully she reviews my history, symptoms, and bloodwork before making recommendations. Her bedside manner is warm, knowledgeable, thorough, and never makes me feel rushed. As a physician affiliated with Northwell Health, she brings a level of expertise and professionalism that has given me tremendous confidence in her guidance. Private care is certainly an investment and a luxury for most, but I genuinely believe Dr. Prabakar saves her patients significant time, confusion, and heartache by helping them make thoughtful decisions from the beginning. I leave every appointment feeling informed, supported, and confident in my next steps. I feel incredibly fortunate to have her in my corner.

I had my baby in 2024 at 38 years old and experienced severe postpartum depression afterward. It…read morewas very dark, and I was not in the right state of mind. After about four months of struggling with PPD, I made the decision to pursue permanent birth control a decision I now deeply regret. I was told by Dr. Cheruba Prabakarthat my tubes could not be tied and that they had to be removed. During the consultation, she asked if I wanted more children. At the time, while clearly struggling emotionally, I said no. She stated that since I was 39, it was a good age for this procedure if I did not want more children. I understand that the decision was 100% mine, however the state of mind I was in was not capable of making a life-changing, irreversible decision. I strongly believe that when working with women -- especially postpartum women -- it is a physician's responsibility to recognize warning signs of postpartum depression and emotional distress and to implement safeguards in their practice. What I needed at that time was help and support for my PPD, not a permanent procedure that altered my body forever. Instead, the process felt quick and not thorough. There was no screening for postpartum depression, no encouragement to wait, and no discussion about how temporary emotional states can affect long-term decisions. Now, three years later, I am 42 years old and desperately want another child. Time is running out. I am now facing IVF, with no guarantee that my insurance will cover it since this is considered a decision I made for myself. My eggs are older, the odds are lower, and the emotional and financial burden is overwhelming. I wish there had been more caution, more counseling, and more time given before moving forward. I also hope that by sharing this experience, changes can be made so that another woman in a vulnerable postpartum state is not placed in this position. I am beyond sad and angry about my situation, I wish i could of tide my tubes and maybe reversal would of been an option now there is nothing absolutely nothing i can do. and time is running out.

After many years, my husband and I decided to try again. This time, we went through his insurance. We had such a horrible experience with the other clinic, we moved our leftover embryos back with Dr. Aimee. She gladly accepted to help us with our second. I cannot praise Dr. Aimee enough! She is a literal angel on earth. The reason we went to Dr. Aimee for our first son was because we didn't want to be treated like another number on a conveyor belt and she did not disappoint. Dr. Aimee goes above and beyond what anyone could ever expect as a patient. She has amazing bedside manners, she's hilarious and she answers any and all questions very thoroughly - I always wonder how she sleeps. If results didn't go our way, she showed us so much compassion. We never felt like another number/statistic and that's more than you can ever ask for while going through the stress of IVF. She might not take insurance, but you definitely get what you pay for. I've been with her for 2 retrievals, 6 years apart resulting in my 2 beautiful babies. We cannot thank Dr. Aimee enough! I've seen her practice expand and it's exciting to see how many more people she's able to help. Her team is AMAZING, warm and comforting. They communicate and troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively. I never had any surprises with procedures or billing. We would recommend her a million times over because she is such a gem in Healthcare and an amazing human being. Thank you Dr. Aimee for helping us expand our family two times!! Saying we are greatful for Dr. Aimee is an understatement. We get to cherish our beautiful babies because of you. We love you!

I have been seeing Dr. Aimee for about a year now and figured it was time for a review. Although we have not been successful yet, I have been to several other clinics prior to Dr. Aimee and truly feel that she has been the best by far and wanted to lay out a few reasons: (1) Dr. Aimee personally saw me for every single appointment so she was the one doing my ultrasound and bloodwork. She also always took extra time to have us speak to her in her office after every appointment to go over next steps. That is a level of care I haven't seen at other clinics, where it is sometimes rare to see your doctor more than a few times the entire cycle. (2) I have been going through IVF for 4 years, which means I have had many many ultrasounds done throughout that time. I had been diagnosed with DOR and "unexplained" infertility. Since Dr. Aimee personally attended to me at every appointment, she got to know my symptoms and body very well. She knew what was normal for me and what was not normal. After only 5 months with Dr. Aimee, she discovered silent endometriosis off a random comment I made about a sore back, despite no signs of endometriosis. She was then able to guide me towards a specialist, where I had laparoscopic surgery to discover Stage II endometriosis. I likely would've continued believing "unexplained" infertility was my diagnosis if she hadn't put in the effort to dig deeper. This is a huge benefit when you are actually seeing your provider every appointment. (3) Communication with Dr. Aimee is readily available and easy. This has been really helpful for me in those random moments where something stressful comes up or if something happens over the weekend, she is always responsive. I really appreciate the communication aspect because infertility is a huge and stressful battle and she truly makes sure that your doctor is not an additional source of stress. This is unlike other clinics I have been to, where communication and getting in touch with your doctor can be really difficult. She truly cares about each and every patient and wants you to succeed. (4) Dr. Aimee is a great doctor for people that feel like they've "tried everything else." She is willing to think outside the box to come up with different solutions to your problems. Additionally, she is constantly doing research and trying to find new ideas on how to find new avenues to success. There are so many other great things I want to say about Dr. Aimee, but it would make this review even longer! She is truly an incredible woman and doctor and I feel very grateful to have her as my doctor.

The entire midwife team was amazing throughout my pregnancy, and I always felt like my questions and concerns were taken seriously. A special shoutout to Lauren A., my midwife, who was absolutely amazing and delivered my son at John Muir. She made me feel incredibly supported and cared for during such an important moment in my life. The entire experience was so much more positive than I could have imagined. He has performed multiple surgeries on me over the years, and I have trusted him with my care. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with the practice have been very disappointing. Over the past year, the office has rescheduled my appointments twice. At my most recent visit, I waited 45 minutes for a routine annual exam. The practice also feels much more impersonal than it once did. I used to feel seen and heard, but that is no longer my experience. I was recently transferred to the RSVP office, where I don't know any of the providers. After being a loyal patient for so many years, I felt more like I was being passed along than cared for. Dr. Wells remains a skilled and compassionate physician, but the office, patient experience, and continuity of care have changed significantly. I hope the practice takes this feedback to heart and remembers the value of long-term patient relationships.

I was able to get an appointment quickly, and she was reasonably on time. She was no nonsense, didn't pretend to not see my tattoos, she was direct and honest, and told me pretty quickly she didn't think the issue was in her expertise. She referred me to a specialist, and sent me on my way (the specialist was able to identify the issue and resolve it, so it was good advice). I would definitely recommend Dr. Lee. As for the office, it was the coldest (as in AC was too high) and most unfriendly front room I have encountered in a long time. All the chairs were up against the wall, but there were pictures hung on the wall right at head height, so it was impossible to even keep your head up without banging up against the frames. In addition, there are 2 sliding glass windows leading to the office area, both of which were closed, with no identifying info on whether I was expected to knock on one (which one?), just sit and wait, enter through the door, or whether anyone was even working. It was definitely not geared towards patient comfort or ease. I don't recommend the office. I will be scheduling any future appointments with Dr. Lee at her other offices in Oakland, hoping those are more welcoming.

I can't thank you enough for taking such amazing care of my mental health, my baby boy, and my pregnancy. If you're new here, be sure to read this review thoroughly so you're fully prepared to have as great of an experience as I did! What to Expect as a New Patient: First things first, if you're a new patient, call to schedule your appointment. Before heading in, make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. When you arrive at the office, get in line, be ready to show your insurance card, and then wait for your name to be called. Once it's your turn, they'll take your weight and bring you to a room to meet with your midwife or doctor. Before that, you'll have your blood pressure checked and be asked a few routine questions, like your preferred pharmacy. First Pregnancy Check-Up: If this is your first pregnancy check-up, they'll likely bring in a monitor to confirm your pregnancy. If you're expecting, congratulations! After that, you'll have regular visits, typically once a month, to monitor your baby's heartbeat. Future Check-Ups: As your pregnancy progresses, the frequency of your appointments will increase. You'll go from monthly visits to bi-weekly appointments, and by 36 weeks, you'll likely visit every week. In between appointments, you'll need to complete your glucose screening and blood work at a separate location. Labor & Delivery: When it's time for your baby's arrival, be sure to call the office so they can prepare John Muir for your delivery. Then, just load up your baby bag and head to the hospital. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by one of the midwives who has been with you throughout your pregnancy. By now, you'll feel comfortable with the staff, so you'll be in good hands. One thing to note: While they strive to have your preferred midwife or doctor with you during delivery, they can't guarantee it. However, when I delivered my second son, Lauren was there to help, and she was incredibly professional and took great care of me and my baby. Post-Labor: After delivery, they'll follow up with you and schedule your postpartum check-up for six weeks after your delivery. Overall Experience: Overall, I never felt like my care was transactional. The team at RSVP took the time to truly listen to me, address what I was going through during my pregnancy, and even helped me through the recovery process after delivery. I can't recommend them enough. 10 stars!!!
