Small but well-chosen inventory of life-jackets, skirts, kayak carts, and safety accessories rounds out their kayak offerings. Courteous, knowledgeable, bilingual staff who are all practitioners, ease of road access and parking, and modern business hours combine with the lines they carry to make these guys my go-to kayak outfitters. But that's a whole notha can of worms, pun intended) ...anywoot when we asked about those things their staff, though very nice, was not aware that their hooks did in fact contain lead and while trying to be helpful recommended us a brand of hook that "contains chemicals know to cause cancer to the state of California" as per the package. So yah I guess I was just expecting more and it wasn't all that. We left without anything we were looking for. This store had the best selection of comfortable sneakers I've ever seen. We needed a wide size and they offered several styles. Compared to other shoe stores or sports stores, Coin des Coureurs offers something highly specialized and has a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They also have a selection of clothing, accessories such as hats, sunglasses, fitness trackers etc. If you have foot pain, feel like your regular shoes just aren't doing the job, I highly recommend this place for the best sneakers. Note that they mostly just sell high end models, brands such as Aasics, Saucony, Brooks, Hoka, New Balance, all geared towards running or stability. Unless they are on sale, styles are generally upwards of $150. The staff really knows how to identify the different types for your need. The one model in particular we wanted was not avialable at this location but we were able to purchase and reserve it at the Brossard Dix 30 location. The employee was so helpful, I truly appreciated his expertise. The next day we went to Brossard to pick up the shoes and it was well worth it - the Brossard location has even more selection and the staff is equally just as pleasant. I won't be shopping anywhere ever again for my sneakers - everyone should come here and see for themselves what a good pair of sneakers can do, it is truly life changing.

I purchased a bike which needed to add a front basket large enough to accommodate my small dog…read more When I picked it up later that day, I rode it for two blocks and noted a wire sticking out of the bike which kept scratching my right ankle. I brought the bike immediately back to the store, but when I put the kickstand down, the bike fell over. The owner told me that "I should have known that such a large basket would be too heavy" for the kickstand they supplied. They offered to replace the kickstand on the bike, as well as fix the wire scratching my ankle. When I returned the next day, the new kickstand worked but the same wire was again sticking out. The owner told me that the wire I was referring to was "not the wire that was sticking out yesterday." He insisted that the wire I had complained about the day before was the one scratching my right inner thigh, not my right ankle. I told him I know the difference between my right ankle and right thigh (especially since I am a doctor), but he refused to believe me, insisting that he was correct. I decided I didn't want to conduct business with such a rude and disrespectful shop, and he is refusing to provide a refund.
