Bernard Trottier Sports,…read more This applies to all stores and general management, I am a Ski Professional and have been for 12 years as an Instructor. I have for years helped my own clients choose their products and given sound information on the equipment they invest in. People ask me where they should shop and I will tell them NOT Bernard Trottier in my professional experience. THEY DO NOT REFUND as a Policy from the Head Office. I purchased a helmet, a piece of safety equipment and when I arrived at home I realized it was not a certified helmet that I was sold. I noticed and called to make sure I can get a refunt before arriving. I was assured I would get a refund so I went back the very next day. Upon my arrival instead of getting a refund they wanted store credit only and proceeded in an arrongant manner to tell me. (By the store Manager) "The people who purchase this product know in advance if it is certified or not." I was caught off guard by the lack of compassion. As a consumer we should be protected. Because I made the mistake of making a purchase there I am stuck with store credit. I do not support their ideals or their professionalism. Partnerships exist in the ski industry, and Bernard Trottier Sports takes without giving back. Browse if you wish and try on all the equipment you like, but buy elsewhere....at least you will have a chance as a consumer to return that $1500.00 snowsuit that you didn't realize fit too snugly in the crotch. Or you can deal with them trying to convince you to buy something else they have that you really do not want.

I ordered a pair of jogging shoes online at Sports Experts during the Boxing Day specials and had…read moreit shipped to this store since it was free shipping to their stores but I would have to pay for shipping to my place. It was pretty straight forward to pick it up. I just needed to show them the email showing that the package was ready to be picked up. Since I didn't have access to a printer, I went into the store with my cellphone, lined up at the cash register aisle, and showed the email on my cellphone once I was in the front of the line. The cashier found my package almost immediately and gave it to me after I showed my ID. Unfortunately after I got home, a few days later, I tried the jogging shoes for the first time as I was planning on jogging outside the following morning and even though the shoes were the correct numerical size, the width was on the tight side for me (and I was trying them without sox at the time). With sox, I felt that it would be too tight. I went to the store and was close to the deadline for refunds (15 days) and since at the time, merchants were forced to close on Sunday due to Covid-19, I wouldn't know how this would work. There was a 30 day exchange policy but I didn't know how this would work since this store didn't carry the jogging shoes that I ordered. I arrived at the store with the receipt, shoes, box, opened plastic mailer bag, etc. and lined up behind the cash register aisle. When I got to the front, they promptly gave me a refund. I was asked to scan my credit card that I used online and the refund was registered immediately. Since I still needed a pair of jogging shoes, I went inside the store and decided to see what type of jogging shoes they had but none of them matched what I was looking for.
