One of my new year's resolutions was to get in shape. So I have been spending a lot of time at the gym. After getting injured from a workout in April, I decided to find a professional who could push me to my limits while preventing injuries. I had not had any luck until this May when I met Rachel in Raise the Bar Fitness.
I just completed my 8th training session. I couldn't be happier with the results. At the beginning, I could hardly do 5 push-ups, but now I can do 40 standard push-ups in 1 minute. Before, I could barely finish one mile running; now, I can easily run 3 miles in 30 minutes. I can feel that my energy and stamina have continued to increase. My body is getting toned. People around me were impressed by the change. But more important, I have never been injured during training.
She is an expert in injury prevention. Once I felt pain from my knee during training. I was panicky and afraid that it came from an injury. Rachel asked me about what kind of pain and how bad it was. According to the symptoms, she inferred that it was caused by IT band tightness. She had me roll my thigh with a foam roller at the end of the training. She was right! The pain was gone immediately after the rolling. From then on, I have always trusted her judgment.
Not only does Rachel tailor optimal workout plans for the in-class sessions, but she also designs a workout routine that has helped me enhance my progress after class. She listed a detailed day-by day plan with images and instructions. With it I can do a scientific workout by myself.
Rachel is a motivator. She is patient, but firm. She definitely knows how to push me to the potential she knows I have. She makes each workout different and interesting and I never dread going to work out.
Rachel isn't a typical trainer who only focuses on workouts. She cares about my nutrition and eating habits. She introduced me an App to manage my eating habits. I shared food pictures with her and she taught me how to eat more efficiently and healthily.
It is worth every penny and I highly recommend her! read more
