Highly recommend this hidden gem in the Food Court in Waimea! The food is absolutely delicious and I am so grateful that it is Gluten Free because I do have Gluten allergies and there are not a lot of options or places in Waimea that I can eat. What an unassuming place... Do not be turned off by the food court vibe. The food here is excellent. Nom nom nommmmms! It takes about 25 mins to cook most orders and it's higher prices for quick serve but it's worth the drive out to Waimea to pick up. First of all, the minute they answered the phone, (30 mins to kitchen closing time) you could hear the employee ask and complain why someone was calling at that time. So unprofessional. Second of all, yes it is authentic but it's not good. l ordered a yellow curry, that had no flavor whatsoever. It tasted like straight up water with a hint of curry flavor. It wasn't the worst either, but coming from someone who's worked at a thai restaurant, I know what good curry is. If you're looking for good thai food on the island, I would recommend Original Thai in Kona or Thai Thai In Volcano. This could've been delicious to someone who doesn't know thai food. read more

Bland and overpriced, just like the Waikoloa location. Cashiers can't be bothered to take down your order correctly. The food has no flavor other than sweet. I have visited this restaurant in the Kamuela food court several times over the past couple years. I would say the food is OK, I definitely wouldn't say authentic Thai cuisine. The Tom Ka Chicken and coconut soup isn't to my liking. The last two times I've had it. It's been way too much citrus flavor and served in a bowl That's more like a plate. With the size spoon that they give you, you'll be scooping for days to finish it. And it's no way you can pick it up and slurp it out of the bowl because it literally is like a plate. my favorite Thai dish is always green papaya salad. I would give them four stars if they didn't put soy sauce in it. The salad itself was really crispy and fresh, but there was almost no green beans and no tomatoes. And as I said, they put soy sauce in it which totally ruined the flavor. Chicken satay was three stars also. A little dry and we had to go back and ask for peanut sauce. I had a couple of the curries in the past, which I thought were pretty good. But this last visit we did not order any. The Thai iced coffee was delicious. And definitely something I would order again. The cashier was very friendly and polite. And for the most part, it's a very clean establishment. This was such a great accidental find! We went not knowing it was a food hall and the place we had researched was closed. Located in the Parker Ranch center. Reviews seemed good so decided to try it. Placed as to go order. Ordered Penang curry max heat level along with sticky rice. Side of rolls also ordered. The curry was flavorful and heat was not as much as it could have been even though it was their hottest level. Few pieces of sliced chicken breast along with alot of cabbage and some bell pepper. Broth was watery but as stated, flavorful. Avocado rolls were generally good but the peanut sauce was pretty bad. It amounted to looking and tasting like government-issued peanut butter. This dish could have been 4.5 stars had the peanut sauce been better. Sticky rice was moist but not wet, it was just right. Price for these items amounted above $30 without a drink. Too much to pay for this level of food. I will try something else moving forward and hopefully amend my review for more stars, fingers crossed. read more

We tried the yellow curry with tofu and a side order of sticky rice. I don't know what it was, but something about the curry tasted weird and the consistency of the rice was just not right. It was also quite expensive considering that the curry did not come with rice. Sadly, this was one of the only places open in the food court, so we didn't really have a choice. read more

Based on older and more recent reviews it seems like something has changed at this restaurant in the last year. Maybe ownership or kitchen staff? I don't write reviews often, but I had to share that this is probably the best and freshest Thai meal I have had since moving to Big Island 4 years ago. This is the Thai that I have been wanting but haven't found anywhere on the island. At least the Panang Curry and Pad Thai were spot on. So tasty and flavorful! And for those wondering about spice level (because sometimes Thai restaurants will give you a medium that will burn your lips off), my curry was a perfect medium spice at the medium level I ordered it. Super yummy Thai food found in a food court! We ordered the curry laksa noodle soup with veggies and tofu, green curry fried rice with veggies and the pad Thai with tofu! Everything was super flavorful and fresh! Portions sizes are huuuuuuuge and they are generous with the veggies! I love that! When I asked the cashier, who was there to take orders, if a noodle dish on the menu was authentic Thai, he said "I have never been to Thailand, I don't know how to answer." Wow!! FLAVOR BOMB! My husband is allergic to seed oils (canola, soy, sunflower etc). and there are almost no restaurants on the island that serve food that has either been marinated in or cooked in seed oils. It's a very cheap oil that can be burned at high heat so it's very popular. We noticed a sign on the window at this restaurant that mentioned no gluten, mostly organic and non GMO and decided to ask about the seed oils. We were greeted by a super friendly employee named Hunter who patiently answered all of our questions. And sweet Jesus, they don't use seed oils! Olive oil only. The owners of this restaurant really care about the quality of their food, almost all of the ingredients are organic, non GMO and there is no gluten in any of the meals. They really go the extra mile to make sure the food as nutritious and healthy as possible! We had already eaten that day, so we came back today to actually try the food, and our buddy Hunter was there again with a big smile, he actually remembered my husband! He ordered the pineapple curry and they were happy to sub some of the vegetables out as they make each dish to order. My husband said it was one of the best tasting meals he's had since we moved here a year ago! Lots of flavor, salted perfectly, freshly cooked ingredients. They let you choose your spice level, he chose medium and it was a bit spicy, so err on the side of less spicy unless you have a high tolerance to heat. We are firm LA where there are a Thai restaurants on every corner so have eaten a LOT of Thai food. The flavor here is top notch, looking forward to trying their other dishes. FLAVOR-FULL Ok so this is officially my favorite Thai restaurant on the Big Island. Surprising because it's in a food court but don't let the environment fool you. These folks care so much about their ingredients and about sourcing them locally whenever possible. One thing that separates them from almost EVERY other restaurant on the Big Island is that they DONT use any seed oils AT ALL! . Most restaurants cook with canola , soybean, vegetable oil or others because these oils are so cheap. The problem is that seed oils are terrible for health. So if you want to avoid them, this is THE restaurant to frequent. The menu is broad and they are able to swap ingredients without any issue. Make sure to talk to the incredibly enthusiastic employee Hunter about the place. He will make you even more excited to get creative with your order. I got it with fish and white sticky rice, and a chilled chai tea on the side. It was very tasty, and the fish was fresh and not overcooked. I went up to the window at 40 minutes, no order, it's still being made. I went at 1 hour, no order, still being made. Oddly about a dozen people that ordered after me got their orders before me, after waiting way less than I did. Most of the other orders were the same items in my order. And the boy at the registered kept saying I don't know how that happened and what am I suppose to do. I even saw multiple people with items that should've been used to fill my order. There is no acknowledgement or empathy for waiting in line with appropriate ppe and social distancing to support a local business. Thai? No! I ordered the Panang Curry with chicken. The first clue was that it didn't smell like Thai in the bag, it smelled like Mexican Menudo. The flavor is NOT curry, it's not good at all. In fact it's not edible. It looks like vegetable soup. It's tastes so bad and to make matters worse it's way overpriced for something that's not authentic. We ordered Vegetarian fried rice and Laksa Curry Noodles, both were sooo FLAVORFUL!! The host Hunter is awesome and took the time to explain the menu and that everything is customizable. He gave us both glass bowl (easier to eat- his suggestion) for Laksa noodles as well as a take out bowls right from start, because we mentioned that we were not super hungry (but with kids who claimed to be ravenous).
