This place is a rip-off!! I stopped here in the first week of January 2019 to fill my tank with fuel. I used my debit card to pay the 54$ fee, no problem. Later at home, I checked my account online and found an additional 99$ charge against my account from the Raceway station! I had to cancel my card and get a new one sent because they have my numbers and know there is money available. While at the bank closing the card the Mgr. on duty told me the same thing happened to her two weeks before at the same place. Tell everyone you know to stear clear of this place! read more

Pros: Thank you for being the only 24hr. gas station in Shalimar. Extremely consistent (for many years running) in staffing the rudest employees with the worst customer service skills in the area.. Cons: Has the rudest employees with the worst customer service skills of any gas station in this area...It's too bad that the management is inclusive in that statement. read more

This is THE worst gas station I have ever been to! That's saying a lot considering I have driven through 35/50 of the United States to include Alaska. I have also driven the ALCAN Hwy in winter that runs from Alaska through Canada and into Washington. So, I have been 100s of gas stations. I have pumped tons of gas. I'm not new to how things work. *** Storytime! *** My first grievance with Raceway was when I got up around 5am to take my Dad to work one morning a year ago and stopped to fill up his tank. I stood there in the freezing cold in my pajamas pumping the gas and it kept going and going and going. I started to feel panicked as I had never seen the car take so much gas. I let go of the lever to stop the gas and it didn't work! The gas kept coming! Around the same time the car must've been thinking what I was thinking because the area where you insert the gas started clicking and shaking and the gas would not shut off! It started to run out onto the car a bit and I called out to another customer that I needed help to please get the staff because I couldn't leave my toddler alone sleeping in the backseat to reach an emergency shut off (had not picked up my Dad yet but I had borrowed his car the night before). At this point I pulled out the nozzle because it was starting to fly out and I was concerned as well that it might damage the vehicle to be this over flowing with gas. It was 5am. My head was not in its best place. So, the gas started leaking all over my shoes and into a nice puddle on the ground about a foot across. The attendant ran out and started cursing at me! He assumed that I was one of those asshats that leave the gas filling into their car with no one holding it and sit in their car or fuck around with cleaning it out. I am not one of those people! I cannot STAND those people! I used to work with children and on field trips I ALWAYS brought up that this is an unsafe way to get gas. So, the clerk gets the gas off and makes me pay for it all!!! Well over $100!!! I was offered no way to clean myself up! I had no choice but to leave because I had to get my Dad to his work as he was opening the store alone. My second grievance is when my husband was thrown out of their ridiculous store. Yes, thrown out and banned for life. Why? He tasted his fountain soda before buying. It did not taste right (too much carbonation or maybe the syrup was out- I don't remember) and so he dumped it in the sink and filled up his cup with a little of a different soda to see if it was off too. Seems like the logical thing to do, right? Well, before he could alert the clerk one of his soda's was out the guy came up behind him yelling at him that he better pay for BOTH sodas! That he watched him drink one and get another. Umm...no, no you did not! So, my husband tried to explain and the guy threatens to call the POLICE because apparently my husband is a freaking soda bandit! My husband is pissed at this point and tells him to call the police but he's NOT paying for a soda that is off that he DID NOT DRINK. The attendant decides to scream for him to leave the store and that he better NEVER come back! Well, okay then! Boy are we heartbroken! What with all the great business ethics going down over here! Terribly devastating that we get to, I mean have to, go to Tom Thumb now! They are only like 100x more professional and friendly - whatever will we do when we want to be treated like shit? Where. Very clean nice station. Lower prices on gas than most in area and their pumps will print a receipt unlike most every Tom Thumb
