I couldn't believe there were people playing on them early in the morning. The store looked cluttered. I purchased some chips and gasoline. The cashier was extremely nice. I'm out and about a lot. Therefore, It will always be a spot I review that possibly not too many people have. I notice the cashier behind this big glass. It was something I'm not use too. It made me feel a bit uneasy. The issue isn't the break -- it's the lack of transparency and professionalism. The store is advertised as open 24/7, yet they close early without any notice on the door, online, or inside the building. Customers pull up expecting service, only to be turned away with no explanation. It's extremely inconvenient and inconsiderate to operate with hidden hours and make up rules on the spot. If a location isn't truly 24/7, the public deserves to know. I'm disappointed in this experience and hope management corrects this communication issue quickly.

As mentioned above, this intersection is busy...which means this spot stays busy! So, be careful entering and exiting as folks love to whip in and out of here. Even though they are busy, they are quick with their service and keep the store and parking lot fairly clean. I have swung in here for all things such as snacks (pizza!), gas (of course) and my latest find at QT is their Iced Coffee with SF vanilla syrup. I swing through, scoop one up and go about my business. I have even started to order on the app and then walk in to pick up. It's a pretty great process that this location has yet to fail me on. Overall, this QT comes in clutch when needed and given that, I will certainly swing back through when the need arises.

I'm not sure if he still owns this spot, but if so, I really hope Mr. Shajumon / Mr. Phillip reads this. I had an issue with an food order (they have a new vendor, Kapri's Sandwiches at the food counter). I was told by the owner (or someone responding from owner's Yelp account) that I could come back for a re-make / replacement. The food counter is a completely separate business, but the cashier at USA Food Store decided to get involved in a situation related to the Food Counter leading to this 1 star review. Instead of the cashier 'staying out of it' - she allowed the cook / owner to call her over to look at the sandwich remnants he insisted I bring back. And, honestly, I had a feeling she was going to be a jerk because when I came in initially - she greeted me. When I came back she just frowned at me. The cook was MIA and the Closed sign was still being displayed so I asked her if he was in the back. She said No and that she had just texted him. I told her I was going to wait in the car. I came back and asked if she could just tell him that the I came back (and I provided my name). She snapped that he should be outside and asked if I looked over by the picnic tables on the side. I could see the tables when I entered and no one was there, but as I was leaving. He approached  my scowling asking if I had the sandwich. I went back in and he called the cashier over to show her the sandwich remnants. At which point, she did that thing where she pretended to stifle laughter. I honestly felt like I was back in high school. And to add to her lack of professionalism and stupidity - she had the nerve to shout back over her shoulder as she went back to the register, saying that she never heard me say that the sandwich might be in the trash. I'm not expecting 5-star excellence at gas station - but I'm also not expecting staff to act like they're angling for air time on Jerry Springer or hoping to be featured on World Star HipHop. I understand that the cook / owner is the cashier's buddy / friend - but the best thing to do would have been to just say, I'm sorry but I can't get involved in the situation. I didn't get her name - but this was May 17 around 6pm. Heavy set Caucasian lady. (And I'm describing her, not making fun of her weight, I'm a big girl too.) The food counter cook / owner decided it was okay to knowingly serve me burnt bread. He also tried to gaslight me - saying that the other person, his partner never told me I didn't have to bring the sandwich back. And THEN he accused me of suggesting his cheddar cheese was old. When I'd CLEARLY told him DURING the conversation that I asked about the cheese because I wanted to know if I could order cheddar cheese going forward or if it was just something that they had right now, but once they ran out, it wouldn't be offered (asked because it's not listed on the menu). But I digress. Ultimately, the cashier made what was already an uncomfortable situation - even more uncomfortable. And she's a grown woman behaving like a wanna-be-hood, poorly raised teenager which makes it even sadder.

The only time your prices should rise significantly is when you are having a trucker deliver gas and you yourself as a business was charged more for the delivery and gas! you shouldn't be jacking up the prices overnight just because of the news or what's taking place in another country!! that's price gouging!!

This particular Shell gas station does not have the basic decency to post SIGNAGE indicating they…read moredon't offer gas past closing time. They just leave their pumps all open and available for taking credit cards to give you the illusion they're working. Since sometimes only one pump is out of order, I tried a couple of pumps several times before I quit. I understand not being able to post a sign on each individual pump, but to not have a single sign letting people know that even card transactions are unwelcome after closing hours is inconsiderate, especially in this cold weather.

She's amazing -always friendly, funny and genuinely helpful. I've stopped in when other employees were working, especially within the last 5-6 months or so the experience just isn't the same. Because of that, I usually won't stop by unless I know she's there or I spot her car in the parking lot.
