One of the better places to come and get gas in town, and one of my preferred stops, for all kinds of reasons. Lafayette gas is usually cheap - and this one is even cheaper than most. I'm sure we'll be back here in the future too. Moreover, it's a brand new gas station and probably the best place to find gas in Laftown, as everyone calls it. And by everyone I mean me.

It took $35.75. I went back in and the woman didn't remember me so I told her what pump I was on and she gave me my receipt but not my change so I said you still owe me $4.25. Then the woman got an attitude and accused me of being rude when all I did was ask for my change.

Who needs a Bucees when you have this place. The aforementioned boudin balls are the best road trip snack ever. Fried spicy, cheesy, delectable delights. On my most recent visit, I got their in house made beef jerky, homemade pork skins, the boudin balls and some jalapeno honey mustard to take home. All of it wonderful. One of my buddies who I was road tripping with, was smart enough to bring a cooler. He bought frozen boudin balls, a few pounds of boudin, some smoked sausage and some sort of stuffed chicken. This place has all kinds of meat! I was jealous and I will definitely bring a cooler next time.

I don't love going to public restrooms (who does?) and especially not in a gas station but my commute is kind of long so sometimes I have to. I was pleasantly surprised when I had to. The most important thing I rate my gas station reviews though is the ice. As an avid diet soda drinker the quality of my ice is important. I like the crushed version that doesn't melt quickly and water down my carbonated fizzy yummy drink. Sripes has the perfect crushed ice that LASTS ALL DAMN DAY which is why I stop in every morning. There is a Laredo Taco inside which I don't really care for, but it's there if you do.

It was pretty packed for a weekday afternoon around noon, but I was still able to find a station to fill up. There was a ton of food and drink choices inside! I was surprised at the fancy coffee and shake machines they had, as well as the grab n go hot food zone with pizzas and other items! The women's bathroom was pretty clean, except the soap dispenser was broken (still was able to get soap out though thankfully). Overall a great place to fill up/take a bathroom break!
