Since I was low on gas, this was the only gas station I had recently seen, so I stopped by and went inside. I didn't even have to explain much or prove I was actually lost, and the man at the counter offered to charge my phone for me with a cord in their breakroom, and I was literally TERRIFIED. If youve ever seen this midway mart... it looks SUPER sketch. I didnt want to give this dude my phone, but I passed it along anyways. Wtf else did I have to lose. I pumped my gas, came back inside, phone was still dead so we chatted about random stuff to pass the time while I hung out inside. I told him my address and he literally PRINTED me directions. My phone wasn't charging fast enough anyways so he got it from their back break room area, gave it back, and I was literally on my way. Since this experience, I literally go to this midway mart all the time. This was one of my first "kind southerner" experiences (im from the west coast) and Ive literally been going to this midway mart ever since this experience. Is there definitely cheaper gas other places? Definitely. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you midway for helping me out a little over a year ago find my way home, and being my one stop spot for unique drinks, and of course; gas.

This QT will not see my business again and with the pain to get into I hope 711 and Racetrac make them close down.

That said, the prices are pretty comparable to the beer prices at Midway, and Howdy Doody is easier to get in and out of. They don't always have what I am looking for, but they always have something that I like (something I cannot say for the nearby 7-11) when it comes to beer. PokéStop next door at Chopsticks, and a gym across the street at the doctor's office. The employees here are always pretty chill - no one is particularly friendly and I've never seen an employee out from behind the counter, but they are always nice, fast, and get the job done without issue. Overall, if I have the time, I go elsewhere for beer, but only because of the price. Otherwise, this is a neat little c-store in a great location.

They have a great selection of beer ranging from craft and local beers to basic brews like Miller, Bud, and PBR. I like that they offer individual cans of beer for when my husband and I can't agree on which six pack we would want to share! They also have a full-service Post Office in the store which I haven't used yet, but I'm sure will come in handy throughout our time living nearby. This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall taqueria, located right off the train tracks on McKinney. You may not even notice them! They are in a yellow & blue building with a red covered parking area. #2. There is a drive-thru option which I used. They were pretty fast so I didn't have to wait very long. I was there for less than 10 minutes, including the short wait behind the truck in front of me in line. #3. The taco plate I ordered was around 9 dollars, which is about what I expect. You can order the tacos a la carte, if you'd prefer, which seemed to be about 2 dollars each #4. The rice. I have made authentic homemade Mexican rice for years, using family recipes passed down through many generations. So believe me when I say, the rice was near perfect. It was warm, fluffy and the flavor was on point, just like the authentic rice I know & love. #6. My only criticism was that I do feel the pollo may have been cut a little too large for the size of the corn tortillas. Smaller pieces may have helped it from falling apart so easily. Other than that, the overall flavor of the tacos were great, especially with their salsa verde drizzled on top, which was delicious and tasted homemade. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back to try more of their menu. There were a few things I feel could be improved, but nothing major.
